And for him to be sold to Man-City, a domestic rival who aim to cast a shadow over the Roman era at Chelsea. We made a £40m bid for Modric anyway, so clearly a high profile sale wasn't necessary.

This will be the season Mikel gets found out, with the style of play under RDM last season he was in his element. If Lampard is the first name on the team sheet, week in week out, january won't come quick enough. In a 'title challenging' Chelsea side, Ramires is not a first team player.

It lessens and cheapens his legacy, 'back to back' titles is back to back titles, regardless. Nobody will care about the points/goals conceded record, history will only show that City 'matched' Mourinho's Chelsea. Leaving us in the shadows, so we should all hope the Van Persie signing works out for United (at least for this season).
