Not really.. At least Torres (at one point in time) was top quality, and deserved/earned the reputation he built for himself. The criticism Kalou received is incomparable in that repsect, and he was never 'Chelsea quality'.

I was 'for' the 1 year contracts for over 30's rule, but I think every case should be judged on a player by player basis. However, If a player doesn't reach a certain criteria, i.e fitness/performance assessment/career projection, then fair enough.

England get a lot of TV time over here, so I want to see Chelsea players representing the country. It has knock-on commercial benefit too (Gourlay won't be happy).. Rival fans are loving this, and are hailing the decision. They've finally got rid of a scummy 'Chelsea player', and it seems some Chelsea fans are kissing the feet of those rival fans. We should be acknowledging the injustice, but that's about it.

Only 78 caps, it's a shame he won't reach a 100. The rival fans have got exactly what they wanted.. no more JT, the less Chelsea players representing England the better etc. Smh.

He's the type of player who will age well.. It's also smart to tie him into a new contract with Barca on the horizon.

Most of the mods wouldn't fit the criteria for the legend tags though, so there is still a market for them. They should have never been removed in the first place, UpTheChels had an argument with someone in the 'tc legend' thread. An admin (can't remember who) hastily and in the 'heat of the moment' decided to scrap the whole thing, because of one 'mere' argument between two members, smh.

Moses must have suffered a blow to the head, Chelsea have been the biggest stumbling block for Barca’s golden generation outside of spain. It also doesn’t get any bigger than Chelsea in regards to the 'competitive level' of the club, and we're simply not a selling club either, so Moses has made a mistake in coming here, if he thinks he will get an easy move away (if he excels).
