  1. C'mon now, that's a bit insulting to Zhirkov! At least Zhirkov could do a reasonable job when called upon. He won us key penalties and even did a decent shift or two at left-back! Marin has just been an utter dissapointment to say the least.
  2. I don't think people can honestly expect him to emulate his first two seasons with us, no way. I know I don't, because I know we're in transition. However, Chelsea fans will be a lot more patient with José at the helm because we trust him. I think Roman will as well, because if he comes back I think it says a lot about Roman's mindset.
  3. Personally, I've always said Cavani over Falcao. He simply has more to his game and there's no real denying it. Falcao might have better finishing, but not much better. Cavani is younger, bigger, stronger, fast, an ariel threat, can run the lines, hold it up, shoot from distance, poach, everything. The complete striker. His price is ridiculous though, but if we're paying a ridiculous price it should be for him. If not, Lewandowski.
  4. Damn, why am I only seeing this now? I could've really done with that AVB catoon earlier...
  5. Lol, what is Luiz supposed to do in all fairness? Luiz gets kicked and laughs = cunt. But if... Luiz gets kicked and feigns injury = also a cunt. Is he supposed to stand there and say, "oh, nice kick bro!"? The man who gets kicked can't win! Logic!
  6. I have no idea what you are talking about. Anyway, the troll seems to have left...for now...
  7. They now have a massive troll on page 96....
  8. It's because, sadly, he's the only real DM we have. Rami, Luiz and Lamps are not DMs and any of those combinations are too attacking.
  9. Is there a 'post of the year' award? Because I nominate this!
  10. I would say Luiz with Mata as a close second. Luiz is already acting like a captain and I think Mata would step it up if he was given the responsibility. However, what I don't understand is people voting for Cech. Yes, he has seniority, but it doesn't necessarily mean he's a good captain. Personally, I've never believed in having a keeper as a captain. How can they set an example for the rest of the team if they're standing in one spot? Can't go up for set pieces or corners, can't encourage others at the other end of the pitch, can only really communicate with defenders (and not all of the time). They're too isolated from the game. I honestly don't see a point.
  11. According to the press, José and Roman have met 5 times already in the past week...
  12. Noticed that the Chelsea crest is blocked from view...he probably did that subconsciously! With that in mind, anyone else think this picture is quite a nice metaphor for Benitez's time at Chelsea?
  13. Oh I've absolutely no doubt he'd contribute more than Marin. There's no comparison. But would he have got enough playing time? I doubt it. Even if he did, he'd be under the microscope every game he played/came on; he doesn't have that at Bremen. Sure, he had to fight for a place, but after that he could play with next to no pressure. If he stayed here, I seriously doubt we'd be looking at the same player we are now.
  14. To be honest, KDB had a terrible pre-season. I mean, he was bad, real bad. I was so looking forward to seeing him, but he really disappointed me. He may have been too eager to impress or something, but he kept on giving the ball away against shit teams. However, only now have SOME of those immature parts of his game have been ironed out. (He still gives the ball away a lot for a midfielder) Marin did have a good pre-season on the other hand. I'm not saying it's a good measure, but it's most likely how they made the decision.
  15. Y'know, I was actually going to post this earlier. I think José will just drive him forwards to being labelled a true 'world class' player. Right now he still has some tweeks in him that need sorting out, José can definitely do that.
  16. Does he know something we don't?! José anyone?? Well, if he's told anyone at Madrid of his future plans....
  17. Usually, I would be of the same mindset, but it's completely different this time I feel. Inter have come out I don't know how many times in the past few weeks to confirm he is definitely NOT coming back. And I don't think it's even worth mentioning Porto tbh. A good year for them is getting out of the CL group. For me though it's the "especially one" part of his speech. I mean, why say that? Why? There's a reason behind it. He could've easily just left it out and then he could've been linked with us along with City and United probably! But no, he said it and it, was the equivalent of just saying 'especially Chelsea'. So I don't really see it as getting carried away. Now, the people talking about what players he'll sign from Real Madrid and stuff, those are the ones getting carried away.
  18. On another note...GET IN THERE JOSE!! I'm not usually one to get carried away, but this is not even hints anymore, he may as well have written 'blue is the colour' on his forehead! I'm particularly excited because I bet a friend while RDM was still in charge that Jose will come back to the Bridge next season or the season after!
  19. That is a fucking insane number to generate, no offense, out of your arse. We didn't even spend that much when we won the champions league. If you think all of those marque priced players will sign in the same window, you're either crazy or you play too much fifa. We'd be lucky to get one player over £30m I feel. Big bucks might be spent on a DLP (most likely) and a striker (permitting Torres leaves) if we're lucky. The rest would be £10-15 buys. And all of this is permitting we even qualify for the CL.
  20. Modric and Varane. ALL. DAY. LONG.
  21. Bale's awards will mean diddly squat if Spurs finish 5th. "Well done Gareth, your second half of the season projected Tottenham to...the Europa League" It'd be fantastic.
  22. Looking at that just pisses me off, because all I think about is the 3 dropped points to QPR and 2 from Reading....two RELEGATED TEAMS. 70pts, imagine that, we'd be sailing into the CL by now. Not even mentioning games like Southampton, Newcastle, Fulham etc. Time to put up or shut up I guess!
  23. Oscar ffs, schoolboy stuff...
  24. Embarrassingly desperate. He was aching for Arsenal to sign him, so he did anything he could, which included celebrating against us when Arsenal scored and the badge kissing. Sad guy. I know he pretty much doesn't owe us any loyalties, but he does owe us fucking respect. Respect for the club that pays his wages at the moment. Snake. Lukaku however, was just showing his respect for West Brom.
