I can't stress how great it would be to see a midfield 3 of: Fabregas Schneiderlin Matic If you think he had the choice between us and Arsenal, who would he choose? Easy decision. He's there for the taking if we want him, as he's definitely not staying with the Saints beyond this season (as much as I like Southampton).

Going for retro with the home kit but buttons, pinstripes AND red trim?? Too much.

Looked a lot more lively alright, but I don't think he's back to his best. It would be great to see him rediscover that fantastic form at the start of the season that helped us absolutely blow teams away. Maybe the fewer games are helping him, but I would really worry if he continues to go missing in the second half of seasons...

We sold Mata and KDB and put faith in Oscar improving (insane) and it hasn't happened. Only so long work ethic could mask his deficiencies. If he stays in the summer we may as well sign George Boyd as well, he's the hardest working player in the league and only has 1 less goal than Oscar. Boyd would be perfect for those big CL games where we just run around a lot, sit back, offer nothing going forward and hope for the best.

Love that video so much. His first goal on it always blows my mind!

I think Mourinho would give his left nut to get Koke. Such a Mourinho player; tackles, work-ethic and creativity, he's got the lot. I'd believe the story that he went for him before Cesc, but sometimes players just don't want to move or have their hearts somewhere else. Undoubtedly José will be in for him if he ever even smells a 1% chance. Maybe fund it through an Oscar sale? One can dream...

There goes my Costa Top PL Goalscorer bet....8/1. Fuck.
-
Don't know how you can be a good dribbler when in every appearance a player has come up behind him, simply puts himself between Cuadrado and the ball and Cuadrado falls over...if it really is supposed to be his biggest strength, then I honestly think he's dead in the water.
-
This is the thing that annoys me the most. Schurrle was underperforming, but he was still a proven goalscorer and he actually wanted to stay and continue fighting for his place at Chelsea. Schurrle almost had a goalscoring record of 1 in 3 in the PL last season, which is fantastic considering he was mainly used as a sub and often out of position. Consider his luck with injuries/illness this season, I think it was a big big mistake to let him go, especially for this guy...

Anyone else get the increasing feeling that we've been absolutely mugged paying £26m this guy? Signs don't look good to say the very least. There's a difference between needing a period of adaption and consistently looking absolutely useless...
-
"Cuadrado is a traditional winger, deadly in one-on-one situations" Passes it backwards every time when on the wing...
-
Top tip: do not spend £26m on a player halfway through a season unless you're 110% sure they can actually contribute something to the rest of the season...especially when you sell a proven PL goalscorer to fund the move...just in case you didn't know!

Someone tell Cuadrado he isn't in Italy anymore. So lax on the fucking ball.
-
Knows Costa isn't fit, gambles the rest of his season, fails spectacularly. Great.

The definition of 'grasping at straws'...they are misinterpreting their usual average season due to City being terrible and neither Liverpool nor United being in it this year.

We had a really good one in Schurrle, but we used that money to buy another RW - leaving no natural cover for Hazard, which is a bit insane when you think about it.

You must be new here....

I think it would've been great if Belgium went for someone like Hiddink after the WC. If they came in for him I think he would've jumped at the chance, as he already managed his national team in the 90s. I think he has a great national team record considering the teams he managed; if he could take Russia to the Semis of Euro 2008 (nevermind finishing 4th in the WC 2002 with South Korea!), imagine what he could do with the talent of the Belgium national team! (Russia were a really good team at the time, but Belgium are considerably better). I feel frustrated that Wilmots is Belgium's coach, I can only imagine how you guys feel!

A misunderstanding is right, I totally agree with you!

Eh, yes I can. It's still money being spent on one position. And if you want to bring net into it, it means absolutely nothing. He has spent money on the one position when efforts/money could have been focused elsewhere - like a CB. He used the Schurrle (a LW) money to buy a RW, leaving no natural cover for Hazard if he gets injured - I highlighted this before, this was a fucking massive risk. It could've potentially thrown away the title if it went tits up. So, if anything, by bringing net into it through including the likes of Schurrle (who was for a different position), it accentuates how wrong José has got fixing the RW - he spent all that money and even weakened other areas of the pitch to get yet another player for the RW. This is without mentioning the fact he would rather recall Moses than spend 26m on Cuadrado...this note in particular leaves me with the gut feeling that Cuadrado will be a humungous, regrettable, expensive flop. But that's just my feeling, not that I want it to happen. And I am citing KDB and Salah because they are clearly good players. Alright, Salah might need a particular system, but it is undeniable how good KDB can be - certainly better than any of our AMs, besides Hazard. If José wasn't so dogmatic about certain players, we could've had two world-class AMs, saving a ton of transfer hassle and prolonging our final product. These sales were not specifically like for like RW replacements anyway, as I will explain... If he is happy with the RW, then why has he spent so much on the one position in less than two years?! Why did he prefer to bring back Moses instead of go for Cuadrado? Simple questions and they have a simple answer - he has not got it right. Willian is more of a CAM, but because he has high acceleration and work rate he is farmed out on the wing, even though he slows down play and can't cross. José has decided that Moses, KDB (a CAM), Schurrle (a LW) and Salah are not right. Now Cuadrado is here and I already had my reservations about him, but if he wasn't José 1st choice then my confidence in him has absolutely plummeted. Listen lads, I am not attacking José. I want him to stay and I want him to get it right. Saying that, he should not be exempt from criticism. In the same way that he got it absolutely spot on with Matic, Fabregas and Costa, he has made a fucking mess of the RW in my eyes.
-
Not to mention the £70m+ José has spent on the one position, the RW, which is currently still not fixed... Also, with both KDB and Salah currently playing out of their socks (and Cuadrado currently resembling more of a stocking of shit by comparison), it is increasingly looking like José has made an absolute dogs dinner of this position in particular.

Useless lazy wanker. He was an extremely poor man's Didier in his 'prime' (whenever that was), so imagine how useless he is now. And those asking for Bamford to be 3rd choice are mad. There is a more than likely chance that Boro will be promoted and Bamford staying there for some PL football is his best option.
-
If he can keep up with Lukaku like he did, he's pretty damn fast. I remember Lukaku saying that Hazard is quicker than him over 10m but he would be quicker over 20m - or something along those lines. Zouma is similar, his over all speed makes up for his lack of acceleration; once he gets going he's like a freight train.

I still want to vote for Tibo as MOTM...
