Great to see Sturridge scoring and enjoying his football.

Hopefully this is Lampard's last season at Chelsea. He has been a great player for this club..but it's time for him to go...unless he accepts a Giggs-type role at Chelsea. We need new blood in the CM position.
-
Agree with this. Omerou has a long way to go in terms of development. Hopefully he gets a good loan spell in January

I thought City thrashed United at home...not at Old Trafford. And you can't really use that game as City playing at their best...United have looked clueless in every match under Moyes.

Chelsea set to complete deal for German youngster
Reddish-Blue replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Not sure why we need more youngsters...particularly in the attacking positions. If we are looking to sign youngsters, our main priority should be Luke Shaw. -
I'd rather see Chalobah or McEachran play...then pay 5 million for an average midfielder in Shelvey.
-
He did well. Hopefully he can continue playing like this in the upcoming games.
-
Would love a win against City.
-
If Rossi had stayed at United, he wouldn't have developed as rapidly as he did at Villarreal.
-
To be fair, they did spend quite a bit of cash on young Erik Lamela who is known for his dribbling ability, technique and pace. Maybe he is Bale's replacement? Once Lamela adapts to the physicality and speed of the PL, he could be Spurs x-factor...just like Willian could be our x-factor. Chadli will be no more than a squad player.

Forgotten/Never lived upto the hype Footballers?

The likes of Shaun Wright Phillips, David Bentley, Jermaine Pennant could have been England's starting wingers had they lived up to the potential... -
Plastic?

I don't think the England squad need distractions before the world cup. Keep the squad the way it is and build for 2015 onwards...
-
I just hope Lukaku scores today...decided to add him to my team instead of Rvp.. As for your question...that's a tough call!
-
I knew someone would bring up Valdez... He's the exception...the likes of Vitor Baia, Dida were solid back in the day and Buffon, Cech, Neuer are top-class.
-
I don't think you can win the biggest prizes without having a solid keeper in your team. Just look at the last 10 UCL winners...every team had a solid and/or top-class #1 keeper.

Out of our current attacking midfield players (at Chelsea and away on loan)...the only guy I expect to see as a potential striker option is Schurrle. This is my prediction of Chelsea's attacking options (at the end of this season): Striker: Lukaku, Torres, third option LW: Hazard, Schurrle CAM: Oscar, Mata RW: Schurrle, Willian, Mata I think Piazon is about 2 seasons away from challenging for a first team spot..but I'm not sure how he's gonna break into Chelsea's squad.

I'd have to go with country. It's always interesting to see England fail after getting hyped up for weeks or months through the media..
-
Chalobah is kind of like United's Phil Jones in terms of versatility. He can play DM/CM, CB and RB if needed....I get the feeling he'll end up as a CM, rather than as a CB.
-
I wouldn't mind a deal like 20 mil + KDB for Pogba. (I'm assuming KDB's value is about 10 million)
-
I cannot wait to see Schurrle in a season or two... Just imagining an attacking unit such as: -------------Lukaku------------- Schurrle -- Oscar -- Hazard (with Willian off the bench) gives me goosebumps!
-
Nothing wrong with buying Martinez. He's 27, about to hit his peak and he scores goals. I'd be much more satisfied with Martinez as our #1 striker instead of past-it Torres, past-it Eto'o and an average Ba..

Well..apparently your country's coach got the sack after those defeats http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/football/a-defiant-holger-osieck-says-he-wont-stand-down-from-job-despite-successive-6-0-defeats/story-fni2wcjl-1226738739979 Australia needs to start blooding the youngsters...

You just never know with Fulham. If we don't finish our chances, you just know someone like Berbatov might find a way of scoring the winning goal. United have RvP and Rooney who can win the game even when they play like crap. City have Aguero and Yaya who can win the game for them. We seriously lack a game-winner at the moment cause Mata is low on confidence and Hazard isn't performing to the level required.
