Rodriguez + Rakitic/insert name of new CM + Costa would be a pretty good set of transfers!
-
The kid just wanted to play regular football in the EPL. He's got lots to learn and I honestly hope he gets a fair chance at Chelsea Selling him would be a mistake, just like Sturridge

He offers something different to our team....I would not be surprised to see Jose keep either Atsu or Piazon next season as squad depth..
-
If Luiz is deadwood.....then I wonder what Mikel and Torres would be considered to be? He's a defender that doesn't suit Jose's tactical system...you put him on a team with freedom (e.g. Barca) and he will thrive.
-
Saints deserve better than that... Moyes would be perfect for West Brom. Small Budget, expect to finish 10th to 15th, some quality youngsters and a decent overall squad..
-
30 million is just too much for Luke Shaw. If we need homegrown players...how about making the effort to blood-in 1 english youngster every season from now on... e.g. Chalobah next season, RLC the season after...
-
Well after the whole Ferdinand thing...Terry had to retire, which is a shame considering he's still the best England CB. As for Cole, poor decision by the England manager to leave him out of the squad
-
I hope Chalobah is part of a premier league squad next season, whether that be at Chelsea or somewhere on loan.. Next season's potential squad (*assuming Costa deal is all but done): Cech, Courtois Ivan, Azpi, Terry, Cahill, Kalas/Zouma, new LB Matic, Ramires, MvG, Lampard, new CM to replace Mikel? Schurrle, Hazard, Oscar, Salah, Willian Costa*, Lukaku/new second striker
-
Cahill wasn't unknown....most of the clubs thought he was average.
-
Nat will either make it at Chelsea or be sold off like Jack Cork for around 500,000 to a Championship club...
-
Dyke's plan will never pass A few people have suggested the premier league's 8-player homegrown squad rule should be enforced with 4 homegrown players (eligible for England) in the starting XI of every club. At the very least, that would let the English manager have 80 English players to choose from...
-
The only way he fits is if Oscar or Willian sit on the bench --------------Costa------------ Hazard -- Willian -- Lavezzi
-
That's great news....hopefully one of the players going to Middlesbrough is Lewis Baker.
-
Even if PvA was to come back to Chelsea...he'd still be third choice LB Assuming we sign Moreno/Luis/Sandro/Shaw/someone-else as #1 LB....then you still have Azpi as the versatile RB/LB and then in third-spot would be PvA I like PvA's attacking skills, they would definitely come in handy against the lower PL sides
-
Totally agree. Bertrand is a decent squad player, generally doesn't complain about lack of football and he'll give you 7/10 performances when called upon.. However, there's no real 'spark' about Bertrand and for the sake of his career, he's better off signing permanently for Villa
-
Since the 2002 World Cup, who is your favourite Brazilian national team player?
-
From what i've read, City needs to have 8 locally-trained players in their reduced squad size of 21.....meaning that certain 'squad role' players will miss out next season...and a few of their homegrown youngsters will get an opportunity
-
Totally agree...he had Agger and Toure on the bench...both of them have been captains for their club/country...and maybe bringing one of them off the bench could have helped the team calm down... Oh well...LFC had their chance and they blew it
-
His substitutions were even more bizarre. With 12 minutes to go...leading 3-0 away from home, with two experienced defenders on the bench, he decides to bring on Coutinho and Moses
-
What a game. Still can't believe Crystal Palace managed to get a draw... Rodgers is clueless about the defensive side of the game..
-
Exactly. Saying anything negative about Mourinho is like committing a crime on this forum... At the end of the day, Mourinho is not god and everyone makes mistakes
-
We need to figure out how to break down the lower PL sides first!
-
What an awful result....these are the types of games we should be winning by 2 or 3 goals Surprised that Kalas and Van Ginkel didn't get a chance against Norwich.. All in All, Mourinho will either win a major trophy next season or he'll be on his way
