I get what you're saying but there doesn't appear to be any good reasons behind the lack of reinforcements... If there were concerns about FFP or lack of quality players on the market, I would understand...but that's not the case Most of the major european clubs have strengthened their squad (Bayern, Juve, Barca, Atletico, Real) and I feel we are being left behind...

Malouda wasn't forced to do anything, he had the option to leave but chose to stay and keep getting paid until the end of his contract.

We had the chance to strengthen our team in key areas, build on our success from last season...but Mourinho's stubborness/loyalty got in the way Instead, we lost two quality players (Cech, Luis), a dressing room leader (Drogba) and we haven't signed anyone worthwhile. If I remember correctly, there was a press conference where Pellegrini said Denayer (young CB) and Iheanacho (young ST) would be promoted to the first team as squad depth. I haven't seen too much of Iheanacho...but Denayer looks promising

Moses won't give me any sleepless nights, he's perfect for a squad role and he's homegrown. As for Cuadrado, the sooner he moves back to Italy, the better it is for all of us.

Imagine Douglas Costa trying to play RW at Chelsea with Ivanovic at RB...it would be a disaster waiting to happen. Having two tactically-sound fullbacks (Lahm & Alaba) that are able to defend and contribute to the attack is a massive advantage for the attacking midfielders at any club. At Chelsea, we have a RB that likes getting forward but he's often caught out of position and a LB that is amazing defensively but almost useless in an attacking sense

I'm not sure why Cuadrado is still at the club...he looks out of his depth Are the Italian clubs still interested in him?

He's 21...he needs game time to develop and refine his skills, not sure what he'll gain by being Azpi's backup
