  1. Win the league with a few games to spare? As long as Ivanovic is our starting RB, we won't be winning anything this season
  2. There's no buy back option for Romeu.
  3. You can't create a lineup without Branislav Ivanovic, he's undroppable regardless of how many times he gets caught out of position by the opposition
  4. Not sure if it's fatigue but the players aren't as determined/ "hungry" as they were last season. I saw a number of occasions against Crystal Palace, where certain players looked content to pass it around, rather than force the issue and test the away team's defense.
  5. Willian runs hard for the team, but his end product and finishing ability for a CAM/RAM is well below average. I'm not suggesting that we start using Kenedy...but I would love to see Mourinho change things up and try playing Remy & Costa together, or Falcao & Costa together...it's just frustrating to see the same attack fail to create chances game after game...
  6. Berbatov move to Villa is indeed possible (Guardian)
  7. Without Harry Redknapp sticking his head out of a car window, deadline day is so boring
  8. Regardless of the new contract, his value will remain around the 6-8 million range* (unless he surprises everyone at West Ham) *if i remember correctly, Stoke were keen on signing him for around 6 million
  9. If he wasn't going to be part of the squad this season, we should of sold him.
  10. United should just give Valdes a chance..
  11. And the worst part is...we failed to add a midfielder. Surely Witsel at 25 million (according to rumors) is a worth a shot before the window closes
  12. I think United are buying a striker... Sky sources understand Monaco have agreed a fee worth £36m with Manchester United for striker Anthony Martial. Futhermore, sources in France tell us that the overall deal, including bonuses, is higher than that figure.
  13. Full name: Papy Djilobodji Solid defender, main strength: Interceptions, good at winning headers He's only been linked to a Turkish club and Sunderland of recent times
  14. I agree that our foreign loan success rate isn't that great....but who knows, maybe he can join Kakuta, T. Hazard and Romeu in terms of doing relatively well on loan and earning a permanent move to another team As for loaning him to an English side, he's just had 4 consecutive years in the championship...maybe the player wanted a change of scenery?
  15. I don't think Willian was worth it. His attacking moves are predictable and he can't get a shot on target which is pathetic for a starting CAM He really did overachieve last season and I think he'll be found out this season as opposing defenders will know that he is unlikely to produce moments of magic
  16. To be honest, I don't expect Chalobah to be anything more than squad depth at Napoli Will be interesting to see whether he gets more than a few cameo appearances..
  17. As every pundit said in the off-season, you can't stand still in the transfer market, otherwise you get left behind...I'm getting the feeling that we may have been left behind (by City) The most worrying aspect of our first 4 games is that the players don't look motivated. There were a number of occasions where our attacking players could have taken a long shot and tried to test the goalkeeper...instead, they passed it around, missed the opportunity and Crystal Palace cleared the resulting cross/ball in the box with a simple header. I back Mourinho to turn this mess around, time for him to walk the walk and back up his claims of wanting to stay here long term :blue scalf:
  18. As they say, reputations are everything for referees. If a striker gets a bad reputation (as a whiner, moaner, constantly rolling around, diving), referees are less likely to call those 50-50 fouls in favour of the striker I remember Suarez had a similar reputation but unlike Costa, he could make a fool of the opposing defender and win the match with a moment of magic, even when the calls were going against him
  19. To be fair, after Crystal Palace scored, it was an open, entertaining game. Both sides had chances to score goals, both sides were vulnerable defensively, it's just unfortunate that Crystal Palace's defenders stood up to the challenge...whilst Chelsea's defenders (Ivanovic, Cahill) failed to keep their composure and kept backing off Bolasie for some reason
  20. Pedro may have been quiet but at least he got an assist
  21. Jose won't be sacked anytime soon Just wish he wasn't so f*cking stubborn about having to play Ivanovic
  22. Great post but who cares about history and the 80's? We're in 2015 and our defense is getting raped game after game after game with no sign of improvement To be honest, it is pretty bad at the moment, this is one of our worst starts to an EPL season in a long time...
