  1. I don't think status is the problem..it's more to do with man management. If you can't keep players satisfied, why would they sit on the bench for you? I still feel letting Schurrle go was a mistake....especially considering his replacement was Juan "can't stay on my feet" Cuadrado
  2. If you're happy with a point at home, you must have low standards Anyway, We are going to be found out more often this season...without any fresh faces, teams know what to expect from our players
  3. I like the look of Watford, hope they survive this season
  4. Interested to see how Okazaki and Lens do in the premier league
  5. Why are we so slow in the transfer market for players we need? We need a LB yet we haven't signed one....but on the other hand, we didn't really need a washed up Falcao but that deal was done fairly quickly...
  6. Hoping for a solid start to the season, Chelsea 3-1 Swansea
  7. Maybe Mourinho likes playing FM/Fifa in his spare time...as those are the only places I've seen Cuadrado + Falcao do well in recent times
  8. I get what you're saying but there doesn't appear to be any good reasons behind the lack of reinforcements... If there were concerns about FFP or lack of quality players on the market, I would understand...but that's not the case Most of the major european clubs have strengthened their squad (Bayern, Juve, Barca, Atletico, Real) and I feel we are being left behind...
  9. Malouda wasn't forced to do anything, he had the option to leave but chose to stay and keep getting paid until the end of his contract.
  10. We had the chance to strengthen our team in key areas, build on our success from last season...but Mourinho's stubborness/loyalty got in the way Instead, we lost two quality players (Cech, Luis), a dressing room leader (Drogba) and we haven't signed anyone worthwhile. Still don't get why we signed Falcao after seeing him struggle at United...he will be Torres 2.0 (minus the transfer fee)
  11. How much did we sell Bertrand for? Surely we aren't stupid enough to pay 15 million for Danny Rose..
  12. I can see your excitement for Denayer...but let's wait for him to play 10-15 games for City before saying he's better than Varane
  13. I would be shocked if Stones handed in a transfer request. He just doesn't seem like the greedy type...
  14. Credit to Arsenal, they deserved the win This may be a glorified friendly..but I'm concerned about lack of depth in midfield
  15. I just don't get why we haven't signed a class midfielder in this transfer window...as our current midfield won't take us past the Quarter Final stage of the UCL. I would also be surprised if we end up winning the PL title again...as City strengthened, United strengthened and Arsenal added Petr Cech
  16. Oh my god, that would be a perfect midfield!
  17. If I remember correctly, there was a press conference where Pellegrini said Denayer (young CB) and Iheanacho (young ST) would be promoted to the first team as squad depth. I haven't seen too much of Iheanacho...but Denayer looks promising
  18. Cahill isn't proactive, every time I see him play he's backing off the striker and making last minute blocks.
  19. Real Madrid would be happy to sell Navas if they got De Gea..
  20. Moses won't give me any sleepless nights, he's perfect for a squad role and he's homegrown. As for Cuadrado, the sooner he moves back to Italy, the better it is for all of us.
  21. Yeah, good backup and he's homegrown!
  22. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11677/9926210/jose-angel-crespo-set-to-sign-for-aston-villa-from-cordoba
  23. Unless I'm mistaken, Everton hold all the cards...as the player is keen to stay and the club doesn't need to sell
