Drogba was 25 when signed (1 goal every 2.0 games) Anelka was 28 when signed (1 goal every 2.8 games) Comparing Torres to Sheva is pathetic. He's played in a far slower league and found it hard to adjust. Torres has had several years in the EPL and knows what its all about. He wont have to adjust, he wont be coming to a new country. He'll be hitting the ground running. He may have had a shit season so far, but a return of 65 goals in 101 games is not to be laughed at. (1 goal every 1.4 games)

The problem when he was at Rangers was that he was not played in his prefered role. He was competing with Barry Ferguson, Pedro Mendes and Steven Davis for a central midfield spot. He was always put out on the left side of midfield or was warning the bench. When he did get a game he showed flashes of brilliance due to not playing regualrly, but he was never going to get a proper shot. I always rated him, but the boo boys made him the scapegoat if something went wrong. I'm glad he's doing well for himself.......I couldn't see where he would fit into our system though.

That I agree with......he was a rock last season. Ferreira is solid and Bosingwa is a bit hit and miss. We need to bring some sort of solidity to our defence. It was outstanding last season which was one of the factors to us winning the title.

I'm sure thats illegal. Rangers are currently being investigated by HMRC for something similar when they "apparently" used to make payments to offshore accounts for bonuses to players back in the 90's to avoid tax. I thought Mikel could have done more to close him down. Once the ball fell to him Mikel seemed to make a move away from the ball instead of charging at it.

I've run out of things to say at how bloody pissed off I am with our recent performances. There's not even a glimmer of light that suggests we're about to turn the corner. If one or two players are underperforming you can carry them through a difficult patch, but when its every player on the pitch you know you've got your work cut out.
