I haven't read throught the whole thread, but my concern atm is the shit form of Drogba who isn't new to the Chelsea set up. Ok....he's had Malaria, get over it ffs. Torres will come good, I'm almost certain of that. We've chopped and changed our formations in the past 2 games to get a system that suits him. Once he gets used to the players around him and vice versa we'll see the Torres rattling them in from all angles.

Dropping Malouda to accommodate Torres today was a massive mistake imo. Torres was absolutely pathetic and looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights. He shouldn't have been anywhere near that starting XI today. We dragged ourselves back into contention and we changed a winning formula. A right royal fuck up.

It looks like Torres isn't the only player in blue who looks like he's never played with the rest of the players today. We've been absolute mince. We badly miss Malouda imo. I'd have kept Torres on the bench today and stayed with the same side thats saw us get back on our feet recently.

I cant remember the journalist name, but he was saying that he took a chance with the young lads after ploughing so much money into the youth academy and was looking for some sort of impact/return after letting the likes of Ballack, Deco, Carvalho and Joe Cole leave. I cant believe some people are saying Torres is finished, He's too old, etc....He's 26 ffs. He hasn't even hit his prime. Drogba was 25 when signed (1 goal every 2.0 games) Anelka was 28 when signed (1 goal every 2.8 games) Comparing Torres to Sheva is pathetic. He's played in a far slower league and found it hard to adjust. Torres has had several years in the EPL and knows what its all about. He wont have to adjust, he wont be coming to a new country. He'll be hitting the ground running. He may have had a shit season so far, but a return of 65 goals in 101 games is not to be laughed at. (1 goal every 1.4 games)

The problem when he was at Rangers was that he was not played in his prefered role. He was competing with Barry Ferguson, Pedro Mendes and Steven Davis for a central midfield spot. He was always put out on the left side of midfield or was warning the bench. When he did get a game he showed flashes of brilliance due to not playing regualrly, but he was never going to get a proper shot. I always rated him, but the boo boys made him the scapegoat if something went wrong. I'm glad he's doing well for himself.......I couldn't see where he would fit into our system though.

That I agree with......he was a rock last season. Ferreira is solid and Bosingwa is a bit hit and miss. We need to bring some sort of solidity to our defence. It was outstanding last season which was one of the factors to us winning the title.
