Maybe it's due to me being older than some on here, but I can't agree with that. Many moons ago a good season for Chelsea was mid table. We gradually started to climb the table and win trophies long before Roman rode into town throwing his wads of cash around. For me you have to earn the right to have those high standards, not buy the right. I'll reiterate what I said earlier, I'm grateful for Romans input, but it's the fans that suffer the most in the long run. We were here long before Roman and we'll be here long after he's gone. Whilst he's here he should be taking us into consideration when deciding wether or not to have us going through another transitional period with another new manager. All this "Carlo love in" is bullshit. It's nothing of the sort. (Insert New Managers Name Here) will come in and try to stamp his authority on the players. It will take time for his ideas to get across and before you know it, we're back to square one. Roman becomes disillusioned and throws his toys out of the pram and sends him packing with a bumper pay off. We can't keep doing this. We have to draw the line somewhere and give 100% backing to a manager for the length of his contract. Roman is acting like a teenager who dumps his girlfriend because she wouldn't put out. Sooner or later that teenager is going to have to learn that if he wants to get his hole, he's going to have to be in it for the long run and not look elsewhere every time he doesn't get his end away. Sadly for Roman I don't think he will ever realise this.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. You just don't get it. This is not about Roman, this is not about Carlo........This is about Chelsea FC. Carlo deserves a hell of a lot of respect from the fans for what he managed to do not only this season, but the season before. This was imo a bigger achievement than winning the double considering the amount of constrictions that were forced upon him. He inherited a very good squad in his double winning season, so to have a good chunk of that squad ripped away from him and then attempt to bring...sorry....force youngsters through to plug the gaps and still manage to finish second and come within touching distance of another title. I think that deserves more than a kick up the hole and a get the fuck out. He had the experience and ability to be Chelsea manager for many years and create a legacy at the club. If we continue to panic and get shafted of anyone who doesn't win the CL within Romans desired expiry date, then we'll continue to be fans who've been cheated out of long term success. dont get me wrong, I'm greatful for Romans impact on the club, but he seriously needs to sit down and rethink his actions if he wants Chelsea to be a real force in World Football. We deserve better......

I doubt you were complaining when we were spanking everyone in sight at the start of the campaign. We hit a sticky patch with very important players out and it was the lack of depth (due to Roman not forking out) that cost us the title. Once we got those players back we scrapped our way back into contention. This is the thanks Carlo gets for doing an almost impossible job with his hands tied.

This is what does my head in about Roman. How the fuck are we going to be able to put a long term plan into practice when you sack a decent manager at the drop of a hat ? Anyone with have a brain will give this job a wide berth. We're just going back and forth and it's getting to the point where we're being looked at as a joke of a club. I can remember when Madrid were sacking their managers like they were going out of fashion and I thought to myself I'm glad we're not a club like that, but that's what we've turned into. What's more gutting is the fact that we didn't turn up in the 1st half. We'd have been better just walking out at the start of the match and handed the trophy over. They were there for the taking and we bottled it. They are not that good and it's been proven throughout the season. I will give them no credit whatsoever as i fucking hate them with a passion. All that good work done over the past lot of weeks has been for nothing if we play like that again in the second half. We just didn't turn up at all in that half. Absolutely pathetic.
