  1. We're fucking rubbsih Drogba was a bloody joke tonight. He'd have been better getting paraded around the ground on a fucking float the amount of waving, apologising and general fannying about he done while he was on the pitch.
  2. When Ramires came on he took Maloudas position in midfield and Malouda was pushed forward. I didnt see a problem with that. Sturridge coming on in the 88th minute....dont see the problem with that either. Obviously the bench were aware that a considerable amount of injury time would be played and giving him 10 minutes to do something isn't such a big deal. What we lacked today was someone who took the game by the scruff of the neck. We seem to try and walk the ball into the net when a simple foot through the ball would suffice.
  3. This is what happens when your strikers are firing blanks. We badly miss Lampard. In seasons past he would come up with one of his specials from outside the box in games like this. Drogba needs a serious kick up the arse to get his game head on. He seemed to do all the hard stuff and when it came to a simple lay off it was wayward.
  4. I havent been on here much lately, I cant believe the amount of stick Anelka is taking. He's been one of our best performers this season.
  5. Are Moderators not allowed to have an opinion ? Anywho.....Referee is a fucking bottle merchant
  6. We desperately need to get back into the groove today. As for wether JT is being rushed back, I'm not so sure on that. I was under the impression that Alex had his surgery postponed until JT was ready to come back. Had JT still been injured his surgery would have been put back another week or so. Essien will no doubt add some bite to the midfield that we've been lacking of late. All we need is for our strikers to start finding the net. We are creating plenty of chances so thats not a concern. Drogba needs to get in the zone.....and quick.
  7. That could be the difference come May. We're not winning game when we're in control and also dropping points when we're not playing well. Last season we were picking up 3 points when we were shite and scoring goals out of nothing. I dont really think you can put the sudden change in form down to not having Essien and Lampard as we were rolling teams over without them earlier in the season. Something is going on behind the scenes and it has to be sorted out asap. We need a serious kick up the arse as in several weeks we have Manu, Arsenal and Spurs in quick succession. If we dont pick up at least 7 points from those 3 games we may as well give up.
  8. Been out all day and heard it in the car on the way home. I'm very surprised to say the least. There's bound to be more to it than a contract dispute. David has mentioned that there was an apparent "incident" last night and more will be revealed in the press tomorrow. That would make more sense. Its a shame tbh, as behind every successful club there is a successful backroom staff and Wilkins was one of the resons we've changed our image to other supporters. We're no longer as hated as we once were imo and he's been a massive part of that. He always talked sense and was very likeable when interviewed. All the best Ray, I wish you all the best in what ever you do in the future
  9. Scolari in "Talking out of his arse shocker"...... He started off well them when things went against him he refused to change things. He was a stubborn old cunt who I was glad to see the back of.
  10. So basically Lampard is better than Gerrard. You dont need Opta stats to figure that one out I cant wait to have him back. Tonight is probably a bit too soon for him, but going by what's been said over the last few days he'll be back for Sunday.
  11. Ideal scenario tonight would see us have this wrapped up by half time and then look to rest players for Sunday when we take on the Scouse Shite. Tbh I'm more focused on that game than matters in hand tonight. Heaping more misery on them while their down would give me a great deal of pleasure.
  12. When he's back to full fitness he and Ash will rip the EPL defences to pieces. I put him in my Fantasy team for a bargain price only for him to be left out completely for Saturdays game. Gutted
  13. Very professional performance today. We were never really under that much pressure even though Cech was kept busy. I thought Mikel was outstanding and never put a foot wrong.
  14. Do they not show MOTD2 on the BBC iplayer now ?
  15. He was though There's no doubting he's a talented player, I just have the opinion that for a player to succeed in our midfield he'll have to work on his upper body strength. Its rare to see Mikel, Essien or Lampard get muscled off the ball when put under pressure. The game against Villa will give us another chance to see how he handles a more pysical game.
  16. We've saw the good and the bad from him in his last two outings. Against Man City he was continually bullied out of possession and looked as if he couldnt handle the physical side of English football. Today he was simply outstanding, which got me thinking. Very few teams will sit off us and allow us to play football like Arsenal do. The majority of the time, teams will try to match us for strength all over the pitch. Its left me wondering wether we'll get the real benefit of hm until he fills out a bit and learns how to handle himself on the pitch against a strong side, as lets be honest......he's built like the side of a fiver. I'm more than willing to give any player time to settle into the side, I just hope he analyse his performances and accept that he'll have to work on the physical side of his game.
  17. Brilliant result :champions: Midfield 3 were outstanding today. Mikel, Essien and Ramires....absolute quality. Just WOW at Alex. One off the training field imo, you can see Malouda shifting out of the wall to leave a gap for Alex to aim for.
  18. Today we will show why Arsenal have not won a trophy for......what is it....6 years now ? You can play the best football in the world, but when it comes down to it, its winning games that matter. Wenger wont change his style of play which makes it easier to take Arsenal to the cleaners. 2-0 Chelsea
  19. Nice one. Who's first on your hitlist Kez ?
  20. Relax ffs :getyou: Once Drogba went off Anelka got moved inside which is the obvious move. He has more presence than Sturridge as a striker as he's still learning the game. He will get his chance eventualy, but he'll have to make do with playing where he's asked.
  21. I take it asking for a kidney is pushing it ? Seriously though....She's through the worst, so its not as bad as it was.
  22. Anelka hasnt a problem with playing out wide when he's asked. We played with 2 up front last season when Ancelotti was still finding his feet and althoughwe got the job done, we didnt look as comfortable. When he went back to the 4-3-3 we went goal crazy. Its up to Sturridge to improve his game to be beneficial on the right/left. There's no hope in hell we'll go back to 2 strikers up front and he'll always be behind Drogba and Anelka for a starting slot.
