  1. Cheers for the upgrade Jim Still not as active as I once was, but hope to get back in the groove in time. She's been having another stint in hospital and has been in since Christmas eve after a slight heart attack......she's ok and I'm expecting her home any day now. Congrats to the other dudes......KTBFFH
  2. £25m is a bit insane for a player that has only just appeared on the international stage. Ok....you may be paying for potential, but he's not a name that I've heard thrown about much outside of this forum.
  3. Someone driving with their coat sticking out the bottom of their door. Someone driving right up your arse. Someone driving with their fog lights on when its not foggy. Someone driving below the speed limit. Someone driving onto a motorway via a slip road at 40mph and then stopping where the lanes combine....seriously.....WTF ???? Someone taking up two parking spaces. Queueing in traffic. Queueing in general. People who are walking in front of you then stop dead, you walk into them and they look at you like you've just shat on their ice cream. Pensioners at checkouts. £4.99 and they proceed to empty their purse with enough coppers to fill a bath tub instead of handing the girl the £5.00 note sticking out. Telling the wankers who phone me each day that Norman Collins does not FUCKING LIVE HERE I'm sure there's plenty more.......
  4. I'm sure thats illegal. Rangers are currently being investigated by HMRC for something similar when they "apparently" used to make payments to offshore accounts for bonuses to players back in the 90's to avoid tax. This was a loophole in the system that was taken advantage of. I'm sure Arsenal and a few other clubs were mentioned to have done this.....maybe even us.
  5. Thats exactly what he said. I'd heard it earlier and thought I'd heard it wrong, so I was waiting for it to come on SSN before posting. Its a stupid excuse imo. Its like saying I didnt smile at the postman because I didnt brush my teeth
  6. According to Rodney Marsh who was on 5live tonight plugging his book, he had conversations with a few of his contacts within Man City and he was told Tevez was the highest paid footballer in europe. £286k per week. Thats just bonkers I'll go out on a limb and say we couldn't afford him
  7. So there we have it. Lampard didnt take the penalty because he didnt train how to kick the ball in training..... Unbelievable
  8. I knew it......I fucking knew it. As soon as Drogba took hold of that ball he was going to miss. Step aside you bigheaded fuckwit and let Lampard do what he does. Performance wise we were 100% better than we've been playing recently. That gives me hope we can get through these next two games.
  9. I thought Mikel could have done more to close him down. Once the ball fell to him Mikel seemed to make a move away from the ball instead of charging at it.
  10. I've run out of things to say at how bloody pissed off I am with our recent performances. There's not even a glimmer of light that suggests we're about to turn the corner. If one or two players are underperforming you can carry them through a difficult patch, but when its every player on the pitch you know you've got your work cut out. Ramires falling on his skinny arse just sums up our night........
  11. We're fucking rubbsih Drogba was a bloody joke tonight. He'd have been better getting paraded around the ground on a fucking float the amount of waving, apologising and general fannying about he done while he was on the pitch.
  12. When Ramires came on he took Maloudas position in midfield and Malouda was pushed forward. I didnt see a problem with that. Sturridge coming on in the 88th minute....dont see the problem with that either. Obviously the bench were aware that a considerable amount of injury time would be played and giving him 10 minutes to do something isn't such a big deal. What we lacked today was someone who took the game by the scruff of the neck. We seem to try and walk the ball into the net when a simple foot through the ball would suffice.
  13. This is what happens when your strikers are firing blanks. We badly miss Lampard. In seasons past he would come up with one of his specials from outside the box in games like this. Drogba needs a serious kick up the arse to get his game head on. He seemed to do all the hard stuff and when it came to a simple lay off it was wayward.
  14. I havent been on here much lately, I cant believe the amount of stick Anelka is taking. He's been one of our best performers this season.
  15. Are Moderators not allowed to have an opinion ? Anywho.....Referee is a fucking bottle merchant
  16. We desperately need to get back into the groove today. As for wether JT is being rushed back, I'm not so sure on that. I was under the impression that Alex had his surgery postponed until JT was ready to come back. Had JT still been injured his surgery would have been put back another week or so. Essien will no doubt add some bite to the midfield that we've been lacking of late. All we need is for our strikers to start finding the net. We are creating plenty of chances so thats not a concern. Drogba needs to get in the zone.....and quick.
  17. That could be the difference come May. We're not winning game when we're in control and also dropping points when we're not playing well. Last season we were picking up 3 points when we were shite and scoring goals out of nothing. I dont really think you can put the sudden change in form down to not having Essien and Lampard as we were rolling teams over without them earlier in the season. Something is going on behind the scenes and it has to be sorted out asap. We need a serious kick up the arse as in several weeks we have Manu, Arsenal and Spurs in quick succession. If we dont pick up at least 7 points from those 3 games we may as well give up.
  18. Been out all day and heard it in the car on the way home. I'm very surprised to say the least. There's bound to be more to it than a contract dispute. David has mentioned that there was an apparent "incident" last night and more will be revealed in the press tomorrow. That would make more sense. Its a shame tbh, as behind every successful club there is a successful backroom staff and Wilkins was one of the resons we've changed our image to other supporters. We're no longer as hated as we once were imo and he's been a massive part of that. He always talked sense and was very likeable when interviewed. All the best Ray, I wish you all the best in what ever you do in the future
  19. Scolari in "Talking out of his arse shocker"...... He started off well them when things went against him he refused to change things. He was a stubborn old cunt who I was glad to see the back of.
  20. So basically Lampard is better than Gerrard. You dont need Opta stats to figure that one out I cant wait to have him back. Tonight is probably a bit too soon for him, but going by what's been said over the last few days he'll be back for Sunday.
  21. Ideal scenario tonight would see us have this wrapped up by half time and then look to rest players for Sunday when we take on the Scouse Shite. Tbh I'm more focused on that game than matters in hand tonight. Heaping more misery on them while their down would give me a great deal of pleasure.
