Excellent - Perfect chance to rattle up a cricket score

We really need to start getting a head of steam up and get a winning streak on the go. to do that we have to play our strongest XI which doesn't include Torres sadly. As improved as he is, it's clear to see that Demba Ba offers so much more than him up front. Add to that Lampard, he's bang in form and should be nowhere near the bench. If either of these two are on the bench tonight we'd be as well as forgeting about this season completely.

Well that was utter bullshit. 45 minutes of my life I wont get back again. Ivanovic must have borrowed my boots, his shooting has been honking.

Your strangest celebration to a Chelsea goal?

After watching the 1st half v Barcelona I had to get back to work. Driving up to Belfast Internatonal Airport was torture as it was all Barcelona. I got to the coach park and had the radio up full pelt standing at the door smoking my brains out. Next thing......Torres is clean through, rounds Valdes and slots it home. I ran out into the car park with folk walking all around me coming home from holiday, etc......Arms aloft circling the car park screaming my head off "FUCKING TORRESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YESSSSSSSSSSSSS" I think I even hugged a taxi driver at one stage -
If I'm honest I'm sick to the back teeth of all this. He's been found not guilty by a court of law, the agenda to have him punished by certain individuals has bordered on obsessive. It was farcical, the club and JT want to put this to bed and get on with playing football. Even if he had appealed the decision it's almost certain the corrupt FA wouldn't back down and possibly extend the ban. We're moving on, we've a title to win......Team Terry - deal with it !!!

I have to admit, I'm absolutely blown away by this young lad. I'd heard all the hype, but now I've seen him actually play a couple of games the hype doesn't do him justice. We've scored 6 goals and he's already got 5 assists, that's just mind boggling

Saw the same line up elsewhere......as strong as we could possibly put out imo.

What I imagine Pep with RDM as assistant would be like.

Just watched a few videos of him on youtube, the first thing that stands out for me about him is he is always running with his head up looking around him for options. For me that is a sign that he's an intelligent footballer. Some players once they get the ball get their heads down and just run ( See Kalou, Baros, etc...) Another thing is that when he shoots he appears to have a knack of keeping it under control if that makes sense. He picks a spot and commits everything to make sure it's on target rather than just lashing it in the direction of the goal. I have to say I'm impressed, albeit from a selection of clips. He's definately one for the future.

One word......Ramires. When he arrived he was built like a budgies hard on, it took him a while to get into the flow of English football and he's flourished without bulking up.
-
Wobbly lip is very appropriate as he does have a wobbly top lip. Nothing to do with his colour in the slightest. He talks like he's had a stroke and for the record I also recall him being called Daffy Duck due his speach. It's just one of those things people pick up on about a persons feature(s). If you remember "Spitting Image", stars regularly got the piss ripped out of them due to their features, speach impediments, etc....Ferdinand would certainly have his lip movement exaggerated to the extreme.

(Poll) What would you do with Kakuta?
Aesthetic Relic replied to Madmax's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I'd give him a swift boot in the plums and tell him to get his finger out and show why we went through so much crap to get him here in the first place. He's promised so much but delivered hee haw.......Make or break season for him. -
Christ on a bike.......I was speaking about Barcelona to a few pals and told them exactly how Barcelona would play and how we would counter it. Let them have the ball out wide as they rarely whip it into the box, they try and play through you so we'll pack the space in front of the defence. Even when they got a corner they took it short and continued with this tippy tappy bollocks that in the end was their downfall. We've played this way against them the last half a dozen times and they've never beaten us outright. So if I could see what we were going to do, surely to God Mr Wonderful could have prepared his team to counter how we set up. Nowhere have I mentioned RDM in my posts, The fact of the matter is, some folk are expecting Guardiola to arrive and have us playing this tippy tappy bollocks and wank themselves into a frenzy. It just isn't going to happen.

It's far from being ignorant and I think I'm intelligent enough to make a decison for myself without having someone making patronising remarks to feed their ego. If you're a Guardiola fanboy then good for you. Dominating a football match isn't the answer to everything. It may be nice on the eye, but when the going gets tough you need to adapt your game. He failed to do that and stuck with his "philosophy". You can praise him for that or criticise him. I'll stick with criticising him for now thanks. If you cast your mind back several months, that's exactly what AVB done. Stuck to his philosophy, when things weren't going our way and he got the boot. Wether you can accept it or not, you can almost write the script before it happens. IF Guardiola arrives at Chelsea with the greatest intentions of changing how we play, he will not get the time to see it through. That's not me being ignorant nor am I illi-nformed on how wonderful he is, this is me making a decision based on how Romans mind works.

Cheers, I've popped on now and again to keep up to speed with things, just haven't felt the urge to get involved in the debates. They're a feisty lot
