This will probably not happen, but I'd like to see Drogba come on and go 4-4-2. Torres is playing well enough to be kept on, but the wide me just aren't doing it and sometimes you have to go route one. I'd haul Malouda off in an instant as he's been as much use as a chocolate teapot. Get the ball up to him asap and perhaps draw a few free kicks around the box. Stoke are sticking tight to our players so the opportunity is there to draw the foul. A free kick could be the only way we'll win this game.

Stoke have had a few more games than us to get their match fitness up and with their games against Hadjuk Split they will have a head start with genuine competitive football. Stoke will always be a hard place to go no matter when you play them, so the main thing imo is getting the points on the board.The performance isn't that important. I'd defo start with Drogba rather than Torres in this game. Huth and Upson (probably) are two big no nonsense defenders. Drogba will be more suited to this kind of game
