Daily mirror is saying he has told the owners of city he wont play against us. Respect to the man if true.

Not much a fan of stats, but there are a lot worse in terms of game to goal ratio strikers in the league than the round shouldered misfiring one. Andy Carroll 35m, has a ratio of 5.3. games per goal. Cornelius , who ? Exactly, 0 goals in 8 appearances. Torres has a ratio of 3.7 games per goal. Whilst we're on misfiring potential Shed heroes, Shevchenko had a ratio of 3.5, and those of a certain age will remember Mr Robert Fleck. An outstanding 48 fucking games scoring 4 goals. All very academic, and in this day and age of instant gratification sought by fans, Senor Torres exceeds in a general capacity to exasperate.
-
Torres admiited he made a mistake, and said he grew up when Di Matteo arrived. That phenomenum is widespread throughout the Premier league and all countries when players are not picked. It comes down to maturity and attitude, it is borne out of frustration, and I can not fault his attitude atm. If we want to count tantrums and sulking Drogba was the king of that for his first season. There is no better than Mourinho to get the best out of players. I am not writing him off yet, even though in the main hes been dogshit
-
We all know Torres is probably the most frustrating aspect -hes taken over from Gourlay- of the club at the moment, the groans at SB and dogs abuse etc. However, credit where credit is due. There are no off pitch tantrums from this man just a willingness to try and make things happen the next game.To see the best of Torres he needs to be fired up but that doesn't happen too often sadly. Get his mind right and we'll see a far better player. Adding Cesc and the loss of Frank (they strike in the same hunting ground imo) could ignite the era we've all been waiting for. Torres will be happy now Costa has taken up lead role and enjoy his arrival and that of Cesc. . He should not be written off imo

Is There One Big Signing Left In Us?
Fulham Broadway replied to Special Juan's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Nope. Costa, Drogba & Torres it is with Schurrle if needed. That's a major improvement on last year imo -
In Mourinhos biography he expects three attributes from his strikers; 1. Goals. 2. An ability to be the first line of defence. 3.A technical ability to stitch the midfield and attacking phases together. Although hes been scoring, Its patently obvious Lukaku doesnt meet the criteria, and seems reluctant to learn. Diego ticks all the boxes, and if another attacker is signed, Jose wants to see those skills on his CV.
-
Again, people think its Lukaku v Chels, or Lukaku v Mourinho, but are forgetting the most important catalyst in these dealings -the agents. Hes talented at football, but like most footballers a bit thick/naive. Agents are canny, and will prostitute, cajole, and manouvre their clients towards something that is not always in the best interest of the player, but ensures a lucrative 10% of a transfer fee.
-
The club/Jose can/will only invest a certain amount of time and effort in a player before cutting losses. If he thinks he's doing us a favour by staying and has an attitude to match ala Sturridge then he can fuck off. It is a shame but it has to be down to him in the end. I think Costa & Drogba is a step up from Eto'o & Ba so I'm not too worried about striking options. I'd rather Torres go and Lukaku stay but if needs be I'd let both leave and keep Bamford as a third striker. Unfortunately I don't think anyone will take Torres so we're stuck with him. At least he's an option, for the odd day when he doesn't look like an escapee remedial.
-
Definitely imo. Mourinho type player. Anyway, doesnt matter, Torres will bag 20 when Costas injured
-
Yup get rid of Torres or Lukaku and Remy could bag us 20 goals a season. Probably.

Migrant workers/slaves building luxury accomodation for qatari World Cup have not been paid for a year. Disgusting. http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2014/jul/28/qatar-world-cup-migrants-not-paid-building-office

Lets not get carried away after an hour against a shite team but the way he was picking passes when they defended in numbers makes up for a bit of what we lost when Mata left, difference being he provides a lot more to the team as well in the other areas of the pitch. Think the ex gooner cunt will prove to be a sound signing, like Ashley.
-
Yeah he needs to prove himself. Anyone seen what he can do ?
-
So now hes come back, who are we loaning him out to ?
-
Its a permanent event now, grief porn. The families should be allowed to grieve on their own, but its become synonymous with the club now. As you say, Bradford was equally horrific, and some of the scouse grief could be directed towards their Heysel victims

Liverpools friendly against roma in the US they had a minutes silence and 96 balloons released. 25 years ago and its not even the anniversary. They might as well wallow in it every game now. Might as well give Roma a minutes silence for the Fall of the Roman Empire.

Real Madrids forward line has now cost more than Ajax have spent on transfers ......ever.

Good God. Youve written some brilliant pieces Barbera. -
Theres no way he could ever have played with Lampard, absolutely no love lost between them. But can see him slotting in nice next to Matic now Franks gone. Despised the fucker when he was at goonerland, and we gave him no shortage of verbals. But hating players is churlish, and I bet all those fuckwits on message boards that slag off Terry would shake his hand and ask for his autograph if they met him. Fabregas is a horrible cunt, but hes our horrible cunt.
