  1. There were a few random tweets last week about a pre season against Bolton...
  2. Hopefully can return to the club in the future in some capacity. Not as manager though, he'd only end up getting sacked
  3. Some good posts written so far, and commendations very few players will receive. Just like to add he was born into a footballing family - a relatively wealthy family, enabling him to go to a good school where he excelled academically, and from which could have chosen another career. Luckily for chelsea fans he didn't, and the result, which I am certain led to a brilliant reading and anticipation of the game, gave us that rare phenomenum, an intelligent footballer. Chelseas all time top goalscorer, with an A* in Latin has left the building.
  4. Yup those 3 Strike. Sooooo many as well... Villa Park every one went radio rental. Wembley, Moscow, Everton, free kick versus the yids, Arsenal... Irreplaceable, and arguably Chelseas greatest player ever.
  5. .quote name="zolayes" post="914853" timestamp="1401731029"]so what is wrong with what Lambert said .. no difference ,, I hate scumpool but I wont criticise Lambert I am sorry but I am not going to be part of a Lambert love in. I am Chelsea and biased. Everyone who signs says the same old tired rehearsed drivel....history...lifelong supporter...proper fans...peoples club ....blablabla. I despise them and everything they stand for along with their self pitying , whining, murdering fans.
  6. Dont forget the agents role in this. Its probably the agent trying to get the best (and you cant blame him) and most money out of the club for his client. JT took the offer, Cole did not, Lampard may or may not - But the club's approach is entirely sensible to me. What makes less sense is why they didn't sort this all out in January and therefore have a conclusion before the end of the season where we all knew where we stood.
  7. Sure as ever, the script that everyone says when signing for the Murderers Rickie Lambert on his £4million move to Liverpool: "I can't believe it. I've loved this club all my life. To be back here now is hard to describe."
  8. more in the Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/01/frank-lampard-sheikh-mansour-new-york-city I'd give him half a season give him a proper send off. He's going to the World Cup as England vice-captain after all, he's not quite on the scrap heap yet. When you see who's interested in him and Cole, it makes the decision to part company look even more questionable.
  9. Agreed. However I can only think the blonde assassin is Abramovichs latest Shevchenko/Roy of the Rovers, and could demand playing time. Although you'd think by now he would realise hes not all that
  10. Fernando loves Stevie http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/fernando-torres-felt-like-king-3618472 Torres is going nowhere, and I could honestly see Mourinho having a tissy fit and leaving because of it, somewhere down the line
  11. Nice payout for Pocohontas in 12 months time then when he is sacked from the toxic environment of Sp*rs.
  12. It's a question that has been argued over by football fans for decades – which is the greatest English club team of all time? Now, after inputting the results of more than 200,000 matches into his highly sophisticated computer model, one of the UK's leading sports statisticians believes he has the answer: it's the Chelsea side of 2006. Dr Ian McHale, Director of the Centre for Sports Business at Salford Business School, and Chair of the Royal Statistical Society's sports section, has developed a mathematical method for comparing the performance of every English Football League team, taking into account their varying prowess from season to season and the standard of opposition faced. Dr McHale explained: “The research looks to answer the ultimate football question – if you had to pick a side from one year to play for your life, who would you choose?” Analysing every English Football League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup match played since the foundation of the Football League in 1888 until the end of the 2011-12 season, Dr McHale has identified the year of maximum 'strength' or quality for each team, which can be objectively compared with sides from any era. By looking at 206,843 games in which 601,039 goals were scored, and including any team which has played at least 250 matches, Dr McHale's method suggests that José Mourinho's 2006 title-winning Chelsea is the greatest English domestic team of all time. Second in the list is 2008's Manchester United side, with the Arsenal 'Invincibles' of 2003-4 in third. All-time greatest English domestic football team (maximum annual strength) Ranking Team Year 1 Chelsea 2006 2 Manchester United 2008 3 Arsenal 2003 4 Liverpool 1987 5 Manchester City 2011 6 Manchester United 1998 7 Everton 1986 8 Leeds United 1969 9 Liverpool 1977 10 Preston North End 1888 So now we know :blue scalf:
  13. I think the FFP has sharpened peoples decisions, and the board and 200+ scouts are under more pressure to make prudent and worthwhile sales and purchases, than before. Hopefully lessons have been learned post Torres as well.
  14. Played 62 games for QPR and scored 1 goal...... . . . . . . . . . Guess who against ....
  15. I think its banter Pizy -a gentle rebuff for the age jibe
  16. Exactly. Then they will store it up for stories of players that have 'fallen out' with Jose
  17. Nice bit of banter between the two -now wait for the corporate media to dress it up as all out nuclear war between Mourinho and Eto
  18. ''Oh fuck its Sergios birthday in 10 days , somebody at City better get to Greggs pronto'' classic
