Yes, I think so
-
our layoffs are so shit... and there goes some completeley causeless whistle again.
-
RLC is obviously not yet ready, I dont ge this selection. At least we have 5 subs.
-
me neither. all three take too long on the ball and dont take enough risks with their passing. we need someone to play defence splitters which of all our players only Jorginho is half capable of
-
that ref is an absolute nuisance blowing for every fly that lands on the pitch
-
Damn we look rusty. The lineup is super defensive IMO. No idea why we can not go a bit more risk. welll...that is probably why -.-

Schmeichel, Chilwell, Söyüncü sure. Vardy probably. But he is basically an older slower Werner so only for a few games. Pereira no way. Maddison is overrated and no way Ndidi replaces Kovacic, joeginho or Kante. And I was talking about squad. If they Have a few injuries they can hardly replace them like for like as we can. Our squad has crazy depth compared to theirs. I think the Main Difference is that Rodgers has organised his back 4 very well hardly rotated it and Schmeichel is obviously much better than Kepa + Vardy has had this crazy run of form in midseason. Lamps hardly knows his best back 4. I think next season we will finish above Leicester with quite some margin.

Juve are really taking the piss lowballing us for one of our most expensive ever signings that has only improved as a play ridiculous. After what they did to us over Sandro we should not even be listening to anything below 80m which they can not even afford in their wildest dreams.
-
Telles is so good going forward he is somehow worth the risk if attainable for the right price. Other than that Hernandez is obviously the perfect player and I doubt he will stay at Milan forever. The only other viable option for me is Robin Gosens. He is quick, tough, extremely strong attacking output (better than Alonso) and also a great defender. I am against signing stop gaps for big fees on big contracts that dont get us anything in the long run. stop gap signings are only useful when you are under pressure to win stuff which we are not. We could go out and develop Maatsen if we wanted to if we are ok with more tiny players.

Honestly, Tagliafico is not really any better than Chilwell and I see him struggling badly vs epl wingers as 90% of them are bigger, stronger and faster than him. Eredivisie is a physically way less demanding league, so tiny/slight guys like him and Ziyech come across a little better there but at the 2018 World Cup Tagliafico was easy prey for Rebic, Perisic, Mbappe (obviously), Griezmann and even the Nigerian wingers. Dont get me wrong, he is not half bad, quite nippy and kinda tough for a guy this tiny but a poor match for our side that lacks physicality anyway. Also with 27 he is not exactly in the right age bracket to provide long term for us nor has he age on his side when adapting.
-
He looks more like a no.10 than a winger to me. Not sure if he is a good fit. We have made the mistake of signing unnecessary bench players for mega money in the past before when we could as well make up the numbers with academy graduates. This makes me think we should pass on him given his price, probable role in the club, lack of top-level experience and lack of pace. I know people are maybe panicking a bit bc Pedro and Willian will leave us leaving us with just 3 wingers in CHO, Pulisic and Ziyech but Mount, Barkley, Ruben, Werner can comfortabl play on the wing thus also relieving some of the stockpiling in the cm position.
-
I hope the scouts were watching and watching closely. Chilwell is like a weird hybrid of Alonso and Emerson. Quick and scores goals but just as suspect in defense as both. We should definitely distance ourselves from signing him. Either buy a really good LB or none at all.
-
You are right. Lampard speaks like a true politician. circumventing the question by praising the player. I don’t think we will sell Kante tho. He will not fetch his value in this market and he can still help us even he will probably not be the first name on the team sheet anymore.
-
I never understood why we had to splash out this much cash on a keeper anyway when there are always tons of decent keepers available in the cheap. Unlike for most other positions keepers usually don’t appreciate that much in value as there are always more great keepers as spots in tops clubs. We could have easily gotten Gulacsi or Leno or some other more than solid dude for a third of that money. Heck now I would have even taken Butland over Kepa
-
Good result. albeit again, Watford should have won. But the insight I draw from this match is that Chilwell is not good enough to justify that price tag. His hype is built on moments of genuis like that awesome goal andl ike Alonso's, it will be forgotten how suspect he looked all game and people will keep banging on about how good he is. But he was suspect defensively all game. Yes, Sarr is an absolute speed merchant but a really quality defender know how to deal with it like Söyüncü did when he simply nicked the ball from him before he could get in his stride. I dont want to have another LB who gets beaten for pace that easily.
-
not really. they were the better team throughout the game. nvm i thought you were talking about the equaliser.
-
and a late equaliser what a goal again
-
Maybe that is the difference. Leicester getting battered all day. Chilwell getting skinned time and time again by Sarr and yet scores an incredible winner. Insane. Maybe he is just like Alonso after all
-
What an excuse of a footballer Doucoure is. Watford are wasting chances right left and centre. Leicester are somehow gonna clinch this
-
Sarr absolutely burned Chilwell for pace there. Otherwise he has looked solid but he really should not be eaten that easily especially if his pace his one of his strengths.
-
The exact same thing Söyüncü did there on Sarr got Pogba a penalty yesterday. Double standards whereever you look
-
it's a marvel how Leicester with such an average team are sitting comfortably 3rd in the league. We have a far superior squad and yet they have been so much more consistent. really have to ask ourself that question. Rodgers has developed greatly as a coach. His back 4 is extremely well organised. And Vardy is still looking so sharp for his age. Not playing top level football for some time really elongates your career it seems. His face looks 40 but his legs no older than 29.
-
Its a good result. Obviously Utd were never gonna lose with the ref, VAR and the FA backing them. But 1-1 does not really help any of the two teams and Spurs are only 6 points off so you never know. Could have been much worse. And as long as Utd dont score from open play, they have that monkey on their back again. Never seen a team awarded so many soft penalties. You can bet you ass on us not getting such an easy pen as Utd today. Corrupted refs ruining the game, Corona or not We obviously need a win vs Villa to widen the gap.
-
I agree. Tbh if RLC comes back as good as he used to be last season with his halved calf not hindering his progress then we don’t really need Havertz As midfielder. But we can not really take that chance. Especially given we are quite short at forward options, Havertz could well play any of those including leading the line and filling ina winger when Puli and CHO Cho inevitably pick up injuries.
-
Havertz is obviously a pipe dream. But there are tons of good defenders available for discount prices. If there is one window to complete the team it’s this.
