  1. I like that Nike gives us custom designs in contrast to the Schema F adidas shit. Would be ok with the kit provided that Three spell it out instead of planting that ugly ass number on it. It may irritate the refs to take down the wrong number so Alonso collects all the cards which might work in our favor again.
  2. Utd with all their 4 strikers on still need a cb to score a goal vs a 10men norwich side
  3. Got more Disciplined under Lamps. Did not go forward needlessly and only got outpaced despite being constantly run at by Mahrez and Sterling. He will turn 30 between the years tho, we should definitely aim at selling him this summer.
  4. He was quite decent vs City. But then again there was not a single save he made that I don’t expect an amateur keeper to make as well. His weird swinging arms technique, poor positioning and diving backwards style make every Routine save he makes look like a worldie. The free kick was obviously unstoppable, right in the top corner with more top spin on it than a Rafael Nadal forehand. His only mistake was that lofted pass he planted on Sterlings head. But keepers are encouraged to take risks so this happens even to Wc goalies like Ederson.
  5. I think he is not muscular enough to be explosive and also that he does not really even try to go full Sprint very often, he covers an immense amount of ground so probably just not enough stamina to bust out a proper sprint.
  6. Yup I think we should bring a few starters for westham in as subs dependent on how the game turns but we need to get the players who have not featured yet up to speed for them to be a viable alternative in the run in.
  7. Actually not. I would rest Pulisic to protect him due to his injury record. In a regular game he is my first name on the scoresheet. FA cup is not as important as getting top 4 so we should aim at winning this competition without threatening our league chances. With the squad we have that is perfectly possible. CHO needs to get some match practice there is still lots to come from him
  8. Strakosha did a weird one himself vs Atalanta. I think whilst there are many decent young goalies that would be an improvement out there the really good shot stopper are a bit older and not as good with the ball on their feet
  9. https://www.spox.com/at/sport/fussball/bundesliga/2006/Artikel/bericht-fc-chelsea-scheiterte-am-transfer-von-david-alaba.html Apparently we wanted to buy Alaba as CB but failed to convince him to come to London. Shame would have been an awesome short-term signing and solved our CB and LB woes in one go.
  10. Need to strike the balance between resting players and keeping them sharp for the run-in. I would go like this ------------------Kepa------------ RJ-----Zouma-----Tomori--Emerson ----------------Jorginho--------------- ------------Gilmour-----Kovacic------- Pedro-----------Tammy---------CHO We have an advantage over Leicester in having a way deeper squad. They will surely rest players amidst their poor restart form.
  11. The result yesterday has put us firmly in the driving seat. I reckon we need 15 points to ensure 4th place realistically (17 mathematically but I expect Utd and Wolves to slip up at leat once each). If we win the next 5 matches, the really hard ones, namely Anfield and at home vs Wolves will be irrelevant. Ultimately it comes down to beat Westham, watford, palace, sheffield and norwich. With the squad we have and the form we are in 15 points here are a realistic target IMO. If we fuck this up we do not really deserve CL but I am pretty confident we will see this out.
  12. That’s what top teams do. Big games are won by the team that makes fewer mistakes. Some people are still hung up on the notion that you need to completely dismantle and steamroll opponents with tiki take shit and have tons of possession to be really superior. The opposite is the case. Bayern Munich, French national team and are three of the best teams in the world and not often they renounce some possession or only punctually press to exploit spaces left behind and ounce in errors even in games were they are favorites. That is just being clever and tactically flexible.
  13. Yet a blind man could see his undeniable quality. He showed it at Genk, he showed it At Bremen. He was the best midfielder in Bundesliga even back then. This incredible free kick he scored today I had seen him score those for Genk already. He just got more consistent with age which was to be expected. There can be no excuses for Mourinho.
  14. The goal was absolutely unreal. The pure audacity of scooping the ball from their defence with a 30 yards sprint, then standing Mendy up and completely burning him for pace finishing off with such an inch perfect shot...i went absolutely mental when that went in. What a player
  15. Not till we put them in their place by winning the PL ourselves next year.
  16. Real mature, coming of age performance. Showed we can look defensively solid even against the best side in the world. Limited them to a handful of chances and denied them a goal from open play. Could not be more happy with the performance. I think we dominated the match despite City having had control of the midfield without threatening for the most part. We took them game when we wante dto and allowed them posession where the could not make it count. That is the mark of class teams. Our finishing obviuosly let usdown a bit should have killed off the game way earlier but missed 3 or 4 golden opporunities but overall we looked the better side and deservedly win. When a Guardiola side needs to handball on the goalline to stop you, you know you are doing it right.
  17. I always missed the accounting lectures so how does this help them to balance their books? It might increase both clubs turnover but net in or outflow are still just 10m which is probably the same sum they would have had in case of a Normal swap. So how does this help with ffp?
  18. Pool will face City directly in their next game, which would be a title decider if we fail to get sth out of this game today for them. So I guess we can bet our asses on the referee fucking us once more as the corrupted media will certainley want a showdown so they will ensure it
  19. Never heard of that but sounds like a good idea I have been mad with FIFA stats my whole life lol. still I would say Werner acceleration > Torres acceleration maybe not by much and Werner end speed = Torres end speed i just pray that Timo stays healthy and you guys can appreciate the beauty of his relentless sprints through opposition defenses.
  20. We should focus on ourselves and ensure CL qualification. It not even a question. If we win vs City we can be proud of ourselves and Should celebrate. Liverpool are champions anyway so if we hand them the title be it. All others teams have been too inconsistent to mount a challenge so we have to admit they somewhat deserve it. Despite hugely being favored by ref decisions etc it does not exactly plain that 20points+ gap alone. We have to accept that it was their year. our focus should be the game today. It could be season defining. Win this and we are favorites to lock down 4th it even 3rd place. I just hope the lads are up for it.
  21. If we are serious about this pandemic thing then there should be no audiences in stadiums till there is mass immunization by vaccination or infection. It is not even necessary to have audiences at all IMO. Maybe we should wait for how this situation develops before considering new stadium plans
  22. Most of their opponents are already on the beach at the time they face them starting with de facto already relegated Norwich. we need to avoid defeat tomorrow and vs Liverpool at all costs and win all remaining games.
  23. Wolves have looked decent ever since their bad start. I expect them and Utd to fight it out for 5th if we do our job
  24. FIFA/PES Stats are hardly empirical evidence though and sometimes completely made up. They rated Bale like 20 points slower than Maicon just weeks before he tore him a new one in that legendary Hattrick performance in 2010. Just one of many absolutely bonkers examples
