On paper they have an amazing side and they have an easy breezy run in. Still as long as Ole has them play the most boring footy in the league I am not too anxious cos they will always find it difficult to break teams down. Fernandes is the only creative player they have which indeed has me slightly worried so I hope he and Pogba will be standing on each other’s toes.
-
Would then join up with the squad as soon as PL window opens. Not sure if he will be available for our remaining CL game tho.
-
Sounds somewhat plausible as a rumour about such a rather low profile player usually is not manufactured out of thin air. has anyone actually seen the guy? As Willian and Pedro will leave us it is plausible that we sign another winger given the CHO and Puli are always injured and Werner is more of an inside forward when deployed on the left.

Really made me chuckle. Mount is has the right attitude and really loves the club and all but at the end of their careers there it will be no comparison. Mount would be perfect for a midrange side and become an absolute legend there but I doubt he will really cut it at the very top. Still a useful utility option. Havertz in contrast has the talent to become one of the top 10 players in the world. the only thing i really don’t like in Habertz is That he hits the deck like 10 times per Game. Not that he is a diver but he is a foul magnet like Hazard with his dribbling and is so lanky he can’t help but fall over at the slightest contact. Will be painful for him in the PL at first
-
Because we don’t have enough midfielders anyway.
-
One thing in the article is incorrect tho. Liverpool will be the 6th different champion in the pst 16 seasons which is a fair enough degree of competitiveness. Esp if you look at how shit ManU and Arsenal former serial Champions are now. And a story like Leicester’s would lot have been possible in La Liga or Bundesliga

Just 122 goals tho. apparantely no goalscoring played at Napoli for long enough to create a more impressive record. Anyway that one season where he scored like 40 goals without Penalties was insane.

Reports inGermany suggested that the deal was right on the edge and it was Favre s opinion in combination with the price that broke negotiations. Afterwards they signed a similar poacher-striker in Alcacer whose downfall was his lack of athleticism which surely is not Batsman’s problem.
-
We should not have priced out Dortmund back in 2018. but Favre was smart enough to block any move for him anyway. Still I imagine he would have been a success there cos a team that created chances for fun but does not need their striker to work too much defensively is exactly what he needs and maybe would have stopped them from signing Haaland later.

If we sold Kanté we would do no such thing. it would mean we decide to try a system without a traditional/tackling-oriented Dm/cm like we have tried throughout Kante‘s injury. I also think doing so is a fallacy and that a DM should be able to do both. Spray passes, control the tempo, with occasional dribbles and (unlike Joeginho) be a solid player tackler who does not get bullied or overrun. But it makes no sense to sell the best dynamic dcm in the world to replace with Ndidi and Partey in a market where he would not even fetch a fraction of his true value. i think our future is without Kante, just as it Without Jorginho. Both are just right for the transition. Especially Kanté for solidity in big games and Jorginho as makeshift holder in smaller ones. But for Lamps System to work we need an absolute Allrounder in that position like a prime Busquets on steroids.

Shit happens. Meanwhile C.Penaldo missed a penalty. We are all human I guess

I see it the same way. 80m would be a Substantial but absolutely worthwhile investment. He will only appreciate in value with the crazy talent of his. Mind his goalscoring record is without being on penalty duty or cf tap ins. His actions on the ball are absolute quality. IMO he is very similar to Kaka in playing style with a bit of Zidane but not that similar to Lampard and Ballack who were both a bit more robust and more vertical in their movement and space usage in the sense that they could tact the tempo of the play. Wir I. Front of the Defence and spray long balls or build up play, roam up and down in search for goalscoring positions and threaten goal even from 30yards+. Havertz moves more around and inside the penalty box, from flank to flank and in the channels. He knows he is most effective when he comes at least close to 20 yards to the opposition goal even if his pace is an added bonus on the break. So he is more of a pure yet versatile offensive player rather than a complete midfielder Lamps/Ballack Style. In that sense he would complete any attack. While, because of his meagre defensive Workrate and lack of tackling and tactical skills he would be wasted in central midfield, With a player like him in our front 3/4 we can optionally completely leave out a traditional striker or traditional wingers if we would like. He would not only give us a future top 10 player in the world but also a ton of tactical options up front.

Corrupted fA swooping in to save Utd a CL spot. I still don’t get why such a political Organisation like FA is allowed to run the PL. should be managed by a commercial organisation in which every club has same voting rights. Like in Germany where DFB who are just as corrupted have nothing to say over DFL who are running the league. Still, might have dodged a bullet. Spurs are better without Ali anyway.
-
I am still not grateful af we did not sign that hoser.
-
A player I would love to complete the German revolution at Chelsea with, esp if Havertz eventually happened, would be Klostermann who is a defensive Allrounder, tall, intelligent, still young enough and can play with every position in the back for. Also he is probably one of the quickest defenders ever.
-
This. Bayern will only buy 2 players This summer one of which is Sane. I doubt hey are willing to splash all out on Havertz but they are trying their utmost to make him run down his contract. They are planning to sign him in 2021 so this is the year he is up for grabs if he decides to move now at all. I think he himself would prefer Real but if we hey can not buy him this year he is pretty much nailed on for Bayern.
-
Well he is 1,89cm so exactly 1cm taller but his heading prowess is indeed intriguing. Werner and Havertz playing off each other with Pulsiic and Ziyech feeding them would be insane. No need for a traditional CF in this set up. But I think if RLC regains Form quickly he can be our Havertz and play that exact role too.
-
We would not even get that money for him. If we put him up for sale, everyone would be like „there is something wrong with him“ and try to lowball us. Also it would send the wrong signal after he has been busting a bit the whole season for us desperately wanting to make it here.

No one said anything about world class potential but more than Barkley that’s for sure. Rice is a the English Jon Obi Mikel. Composed and tackles clean as a whistle. But he is quicker and more tenacious. At 21 he already looks a mature DM. Not a worldclass one bit a very solid one. Even if he stagnates at this level Which is unlikely he will have a good Career. But more importantly we got overrun in midfield a lot in big games where we really could use a player like him especially over a dud like Barkley.
-
I think independent of Gallagher we are at least one player too thick in his position. Barkley is by far the most expendable player in our midfield and imo should be last in the pecking order behind Kovacic, Kante, Joeginho, RLC, Mount. Even in a 4-3-3 five senior midfielders should be enough given additional to Gallagher there are tons of Academy graduates in that position, one of which just signed a new long term deal. Unless we sell someone else, Barkley will only hold us up. The only thing he has going for him is that he is homegrown so is basically a free spot in midfield but with the direction the club is going, fulfilling the homegrown quota will not be a problem in the future. If we can trade him for another English player with the potential of Rice it should be a no brainer
-
As I said. The contract will be signed before the season even restarts so us qualifying for the CL or not comes way after Werners decision.
-
The deal must be done before June 15 which is before the season restarts. It either will be done by then which IMO is 95% likely or it will collapse and Werner will move for a lot more money elsewhere or even stay both of which highly unlikely. Either way we will know very soon. In different news, There is chatter West ham have showed interest in Barkley which could be used for a swap deal for Rice. Not a fan of either but we could use a versatile defensive player.
-
We won‘t. Apart from the fact that there is a 1% chance at most of this to happen, Don’t forget Havertz is still a kid and he could have an average season. He is inconsistent and completely out of games sometimes. what we are Building is more important than single league title. It’s a dynasty.
-
As soon as he activates the release clause And the player signs With us, we are the sole owner of the transfer rights. No matter when the window starts. The deal must be done till June 15 tho. And don’t worry, the deal will go through.

I wonder what games they have been watching. Such an average Talent. Hard worker, great attitude but I doubt he will ever be worth those 100m
