  1. Only Ash a real legend for me. Anelka, Oli, Cesc great players in their own right and amazing servants for the club but not quite legendary status given how short their stints were.
  2. Good news. I think it is not even improbable that he might have a place next season should Tammy leave as well. Don't think he is good enough yet tho.
  3. lol that's wht you wanna hear from your 80m signing^^ he will probably recover but honeslty how is not every pro footballer vaccinated these days? I am not even systemically relevant personnel and was vaccinated weeks ago.
  4. Nah, one player running in slow motion, getting a dozen yellow cards for late tackles and making sideways passes only is enough ๐Ÿ˜‚
  5. A Barkley Drinkwater double pivot... football has peaked.
  6. Depends. Winning Bundesliga with Bayern is just like winning Ligue 1 with Paris. Just not a big title. Maybe it is different for him but I would not be content with not even trying to win a contested league title at least once all/play in the best league .
  7. What a revolutionary tactic. OGS is such a genius
  8. Btw SSN Germany transfer update was focused on us today. Apparently we evaluated all kinds of swap deals for haaland all for naught Ziyech and Timo are in our plans but we would listen to soziables offers . lukaku and Chiesa rumours rubbished
  9. I can totally see us not making any marquee signing at all. Just backup goalie probably hennessy, maybe pedraza if we manage to shed Emerson and Alonso and maybe a cb or dm and call it a day. We preponed our spending last summer. I can also imagine TT transforming one from the deadwood into a usable squad option.
  10. I hope that is true. lacroix has the physical and technical tools to succeed anywhere. If someone can teach him even better defence itโ€™s TT.
  11. Silva, cannavaro, carvalho are rare breeds with insane anticipation and ability in the ball. Kounde relies on his athleticism more which will come up comparatively short in PL also when there are tons of tall quality cbs on the market why spend a huge sums on the one dwarf.
  12. Watch him tear it up in pre season starting another false dawn and with talks how he finally finds his role under TT and having recovered in great shape just to be picked up by the police at 3pm drunk, shirtless with a bag of crisps. Then immediately loaned out to Midtable FC. Rinse and repeat.
  13. I think they would demand 100m at first but settle at 50 in principle but having said that they wonโ€™t sell their main asset this late in the window Apart from that the problem for me is Lewas wage demands
  14. 15-20 for an okish player who cost us 1m max in development and training + sell on clause and matching option is great business.
  15. I donโ€™t like this talk about Griezman , he is absolute trash. Old, slow and lost his mojo. we wonโ€™t get Haaland so weโ€˜d rather buy no striker at all instead of average has beens like Griezman
  16. No wonder he looked absolutely gassed after having played a mammoth season. Hopefully Southgate the sucker has not completely burned him out
  17. He had a few big performances in this tournament but this surely was not one of them.
  18. exactly! he also did not miss a penalty in the final ๐Ÿ˜‚
  19. As good as he is for italy ( he was average today but sublime in almost all other games), he can never replicate this form fully. For italy he has 2 somewhat creative-ish players around him who also run a lot in Barella and verrati/locatelli. For us he only has kante whose attacking output is erratic but who runs for 3. so defensively we usually look good if he does not make his 1 every 7 games stupid mistake. But offensively we will never be threatening from midfield with him and Kante there. We could work around that if we had real goalscorer up front but currently we don't so he gets a lot of slack. But given their age, Kante Jorginho is not a long term solution and I sure as hell would like to have a more offensive and athletic midfield for our next great team. Jorginho has his perks and i had to watch a lot of italy games to fully appreciate them but for us I just don't see him giving enough both in terms of athleticism and creativity/attacking output to make us serial title winners again.
  20. The amount of dregs in there is unreal. Had forgotten that baba was still in our roster (seriously one of our worst purchases which i warned adamantly about. 26m โ‚ฌ for a player we did not need had we not sold bertrand and felipe luis for half that) But would not be surprised if TT somehow makes a half-decent player out 1 or 2 of these.
  21. what even is Real's footy style lol. old men lumping a ball to benzema maybe.
  22. As I have repeatedly said and the articule agrees, top speed, especially in game is not at all an indicator of how pacey a player actually is or how effectively he uses his pace in game. Highest in game top speeds are usually recorded when centrebacks sprint back from corners. So it makes sense that Christensen and Spinazzola top the charts. Attacking players make use of their explosiveness and pace on the first few metres to look so fast when in fact they barely hit 3rd gear in these short sprints. Moreover 33km/h is not very fast. Your just above average 18y.o. highschool boy probably reaches that top speed or higher late in a 100m race, a distance a footballer is not very likely to cover in game. Still, AC never has been a slow defender to be sure. But measuring top speed is pointless for the reasons above. What i would really care about is the acceleration (so xy m/sยฒ usually expressed within some logarithmic term to account for natural deceleration) values or at least the distance or time they reached those top speeds over so i can calculate it myself.
  23. Emerson to win it after Italy win euros lol
  24. Depends on the amount of muscle you want to carry being this lean. Most guys with average genetics canโ€™t support any meaningful muscle mass with body fat this low so just look like twigs in real life and only good on camera . Otter Mode really only looks asthetic on shorter men IMO whilst taller ones can pull off bear mode better. but from my personal experience it is probably healthiest and best for all year round performance to aim for 10-14% body fat and and weight of height in cm -100 give or take 3kgs depending on the size of your frame. also one should not compare oneself too critically with actors or professional athletes who spent years with personal trainers, chefs and most likely peds to achieve that look for just a specific timeframe. swimmers also have a wide range. Look at Ben proud, the 50m butteflier. He almost looks like a professional bodybuilder and is on serious gear whilst some swimmers physique like Ian thorpeโ€™s every man can achieve easily. I have been doing fitness for 10 years. The Alonso look is probably what I had in year 2 but I admit he looks better there than i did bc he is a bit shorter than me and just so tan lol. I am white as chalk all year even after Caribbean vacation. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ˆ
  25. gallagher could actually work. he is very flexible can play every position in midfield, so for sure he can dapt himself to the player next to him.
