  1. Let's just hope Puli does not chose to make it a hattrick and also participate in the olympics for the US team lol.
  2. So at least he can have his holiday now. Gold cup is like from July 11 to Agusut 4 or so. Puli probably gonna miss whole preseason and miss the beginning of the premier league season injured.
  3. I like how the rumours are intensifying that we are ready to sell Ziyech, probably to Italy. We have too many wingers anyway and we could sign a decent one as upgrade. Even if we don't sign one directly. if we sign a striker, Werner and Havertz will play more on the positions beside so would be effectively enhance competition there.
  4. One thing neves offers we don’t have in the team is Threat from range. We should have our hands in this if our other cm targets fail. He could be an amazing upgrade on Jorginho
  5. damn Croatia are never gonna win shit as long as that miniature albino donkey Vida is their starting cb. Absolute clown that git at fault for at least 5 goals per tournament.
  6. Nice old fashioned venue. Good thing is our travel is a good hour shorter than Villareals. Also feel bad for their fans... to my knowledge only airline who operates flights from Spain to Belfast is Ryanair lol
  7. He deserves it and I hope he gets it, even if it takes France, beating Germany next week but I don't think it would make him our greatest ever player. He has been here for just 5 years. If he makes it another 5-7 of similalry excellent service then for sure he would be in the conversation.
  8. lol similar here. I think the 2020/21 kit was alright. a bit boring but classy enough, I also liked that it was overall a bit darker than usual looked so much more sophisticated that most other teams' kits. But the new one is way too edgy for me. I have met a few ppl who love it for the same reason. I mean at least it is individual enough but no one liked this 60ies style ever ah fair enough, misunderstood it.
  9. No, we won 2/2 CL finals wearing the season's kit. We lost 2008 and in the 2008/9 kits. Can't remmeber us ever winning a final in our kits for the next season. Maybe that is also why we usually lose the community shield, it is usually the first game of the new season. The first game in a new kit is usually a wirte off confirmed lol
  10. No way. Grealish would add nothing we don't already have. Plus his drunk driving habit and all the negative press he would create. IMO he is one of the most overrated players in the league. Sancho to Utd whilst we can only get poor old Grealish would be the worst.
  11. I am not exactly sure what you mean. I would be perfectly happy for TT to lead a new dynasty at CFC for decades. I just don't see it happening anymore in modern football. If we can get 3 successful years with him I would be over the moon. Pep and Shitty is exaclty what I mean. City's is what i would consider an active transfer policy, they consistently buy new players with starting XI potential to keep the squad big and still incentives to handle the intensity.
  12. 2 years. He signed it in late 2018 when the club was not exactly in a great situation. I remember how a part of the footballing world shook their heads when he signed that extension effectively pledging his full prime to us when Real, PSG wanted to sign him. But N'golo is too smart, he knew the swiftest and most elegant way to CL glory was to stay.
  13. TT is a world class tactician but a long term contract has been the kiss of death for many great tacticians before like with Conte. I think TT can only work for a couple of years because he demands so much of the players they will grow tired of him at some point. We would need a very active transfer policy to make his approach work here for longer IMO.
  14. I love how the city mini generation around agüero Fernandinho kompany etc will remain forever unfulfilled without a CL win and how you could taste that from their tears Saturday night 😈
  15. I guess once Oli made the France squad he stopped caring about playing time.... albeit there is a World Cup next season but I already suspected early this season deschamps would take Giroud even if he spent the year on an lsd trip down rainbow boulevard for sure means Tammy is gone
  16. Probably not but is Toney ok with coming here on big money and sitting on the bench? It will be interesting to see whether we are in for a no.1 striker or if our first choice will be to continue with Kai as false 9 and are only looking for a backup.
  17. We already have a striker who scored a lot of goals in Championship with Tammy.
  18. Maybe but not on his current contract. The CL win triggered those extra 2 years. Honestly, I do not really care if new contract or extension but I guess TT would have been in a good position to renegotiate the terms this summer. So good job from his agent/manager and Marina to think this far ahead and put the elongation clause in it way back in Winter.
  19. It is crazy how superior the refereeing in CL is compared to PL. UEFA refs used to be the same corrupted hags but there was not a single dodgy decision that affected us crucially in the whole CL campaign this season. Everything was more or less smooth and as it should be. Can't believe i am complimenting uefa and refs but if you compare it with the clusterfuck that is PL refereeing it is a different planet.
  20. Yeah he will make them compete again in the short term but I still smell 0 titles for them under Conte. They won't go far in Europe, apart from 2018 he usually fucks up the cups and most importantly he will make them buy some average washed out players, maybe bringing along vidal and Perisic and leave them with a burned out old squad on a huge wage bill for another decade of mediocrity when he leaves 2 years later.
  21. It sounds like a cliche but City attacked as individuals with all their dribblings but we defended as a team. If one vs one was lost another player would step out and clean up whilst the beaten player sprints back to make up the space and mark someone else. For anyone who likes teamwork and the defensive side of the game it was a joy to watch.
  22. I would say this small but not miniscule difference still substantiates my point. Hf you watched both player in action for their respective season and judge the quality of chances with your own eyes you would see Silva is more clinical than Werner. He a. lso does not get into good positions as much and as Werner tho and does not cover the ground as rapidly and industriously in my eyes. Anyway, Silva is surely not the all-action striker we need but he could still be useful. My choicee would be to keep either Tammy or Giroud and sign Vlahovic or Daka. Even more of a gamble but more upside as well. I reckon we will continue to use Havertz as false 9 anyway so maybe striker is not as high on the priority list for the club as we think
  23. Sounds reasonable. Silva scored 28 league goals in Bundesliga just like Werner the season before... but Silva needed fewer chances. If we can get him for 35m it would not be the worst deal in world. I have concerns over him bc he appears to be one of these sensitive guys like Werner, torres, morata who need to feel at home apprecaited first yada yada to score. On top of that Bundesliga has become a very striker friendly league like Eredivisie with many teams defending high, leaving spaces behind and a shortage of defensively strong DMs leaving the defence exposed in most games In other news an interesting striker prospect i have been watching, Patson Daka is almost surely going to Liverpool.Only RB Leipzig can still snacht him maybe. Under 30m as well.
  24. Traore is basically Willian on a very resolute steroids regimen but with worse shooting. Flashy but totally ineffective. But his power and pace gives him an aura that immediately makes defenders panic. It is a super long shot but if TT can teach him the basics of football he could be a decent RWB backup. I don't think it is worth the hassle tho.
  25. While Sarri is by no means a bad coach he is one of the least inspiring ones we had in the last 20 years. Would not lose any sleep over him at any PL rival and least of all Arsenal. Their mercenary squad with terrible mentality would simply combust under his rigid style.
