  1. Look it's not about who's more important or who's more replaceable. (Also, noone is calling for Mourinho to get sacked because of this) It's about right and wrong. Mourinho was wrong. Plain and simple. He shouldn't have gotten mad at them. The referee called them on the field. Twice. They went on the field and Mourinho decided to have a little tantrum about it. Instead of then shutting up about it he had to go and call them naive and don't give me the excuse that he was just answering a question. Would it really have been that hard for him to sidestep the question ? Then he had to go and not allow them to sit on the bench for the next games. Honestly how petty and childish can you get ? All of this could have been easily avoided if Mourinho just had a proper discussion with both of them. If he just apologised to both of them for losing his temper and explained to them what he expected from them in that situation. This situation was handled so fucking poorly. Is it so unfair to expect a manager as experienced and media savy as Mourinho to not turn this entire situation into a complete shitstorm ?
  2. Football is a contact sport but there always has to be an intent to play the ball. You can't just go around smacking people in the face whenever you feel like it. (can't believe i actually had to type that) What kind of fucked up logic is that ? Does costa have to break someone's nose before you'd consider it violent conduct ? No this wasn't a nothing incident. This was violent conduct. He should have been sent off. We were lucky he wasn't and that Gabriel was such an idiot. 100 % sure he's going to get a retrospective ban and that's fully deserved. His goals have nothing to do with this. Absolutely nothing . He could have scored a 1000 goals or 0 goals for us. It doesn't matter in this situation. Fake fans ? Ashamed ? Of what exactly ? Not having double standards when it comes to player conduct ? Not sticking our heads in the sand when one of our own players is hitting another player in the face ?
  3. From 0:32. Embarrassing that people are actually defending this.
  4. Don't be ridiculous. The ref might not have seen it but Costa is surely going to get a retrospective ban. You can't put your elbow into somone's neck, push someone in the face with 2 hands and then smack him in the face with 1 hand. We got really lucky there. If the ref sees that it's a red card and we would have been a man down.
  5. Aside from the "incidents" i really wish he would stop trying to dribble people. His off the ball movement is great but he's just not skillful enough to take on defenders and is way to predictable. He always tries to go past a player, sees he's not gonna succeed and then tries to cut back and go straight through that player. Just pass the ball and get back into a goalscoring position.
  6. Like i said Ivanovic isn't the only problem. It's true that there are problems that are the entire teams fault however i disagree that Ivanovic is being unfairly targeted. He has been the worst of the bunch. He's been a burden on this team for quite some time now. His inabillity to deal with quick skillful wingers. His reluctance to move out wide and close down the opponent have been an issue for the last 2 years or so. Only thing is noone really noticed because the team covered for him all the time, primarily Willian. Willian was forced to play right wing back all the time last season. Constantly running back to shield Ivanovic. Basically doing the work Ivanovic should have done. With Pedro now playing RW Ivanovic doesn't have the luxury of tucking inside and holding his position. He is getting into more situations where he has to go 1 on 1 with the winger. Ivanovic has been on a steady decline for the past 2 years and he somply needs to be dropped. The team has covered for him long enough but enough is enough. With Pedro playing RW we need a right back that can actually hold his own. Atleast that's my take on it.
  7. No, Ivanovic isn't the only problem we have but he is a liabillity atm. It's not that difficult to understand. People have more confidence in Azpi taking on Sanchez & Baba coming in on the left then Ivanovic going up against Sanchez. I'd much rather see baba start. With Ramsey likely starting on the right Baba could have acres of space to exploit on that left hand side.
  8. Don't think resting him is going to do much. I think he just needs to power through. Needs to pick himself up with the little things. A good pass, a good dribble, a good run and just go from there. Gotta be painful for him atm. Going from his best season to the lowest point of his carreer in a matter of months.
  9. Liked him. Lots of forward runs. Good amount of pace. Made some really good runs constantly occupying 1 of the defenders and creating space. Would make a great partnership with Hazard once they'd get used to each other. Hope he'll start but i just know Ivanovic is going to start. :s
  10. Questioning Hazard's PFA player of the year award ( when he's won almost every individual award he could win in England last season ( the Barclays player of the season, FWA footballer of the year, PFA players, player of the year) Everyone was in agreement that Hazard was the best player in the PL. Describing Hazard's season as "He was invisible most parts last season, but I guess in return he had like 10 magical moments that were vital." This part makes me question if you've actually watched him last season. He was incredibly consistent. He was great from start to finish and he had a lot more then 10 magical moments. I just don't see the point though of debating this with you. If you genuinley think Hazard didn't deserve to win the PFA POTY and was invisible for most parts last season then i really don't know what i can say that's gonna change your mind. Only thing i could say would be to rewatch the games last season but we both know you're not gonna do that.
  11. Disagree. His performance last season was truly something special. To uphold such a high level for an entire season was an amazing achievement. Messi and C. Ronaldo are in their own league but Hazard definitely deserves to be named in contention for that third best player spot. Imo, last season, Hazard had the best season out of the four you mentioned ( excluding Messi and C.Ronaldo ofcourse).
  12. Him and his agent parted ways last year. For the new contract he had himself and his dad do the negotiations. Well negotiations might be a strong word. He basically told the club to determine how much themselves. At 24 he is maturing nicely, a humble man who impressed Chelsea's hierarchy during the complex negotiations over a new contract towards the end of last year. He has never been responsible for the glut of stories linking him with a move back to France to play for Paris Saint-Germain and he consistently told the club that he was willing to remain at Stamford Bridge. Hazard's contract talks were reminiscent of Gary Neville at Manchester United, leaving it with the club to determine the terms on his new five-year contract. Chelsea settled on £200,000 a week. To those who know him, he speaks of trophies and a hunger to be remembered as a player who contributed to one of the most successful periods in Chelsea's history. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3033376/Eden-Hazard-transformed-Jose-Mourinho-prepares-make-100th-league-appearance-Chelsea-rival-Gianfranco-Zola-best-ever.html
  13. What a load of crap. A "weather player" doesn't carry his team to a PL title like Hazard did last season. When the team struggled he stepped up. He's in poor form atm but let's not forget what he did for us last season.
  14. Maybe he should spent some time coming up with a system that doesn't put our entire attacking load on Fabregas and Hazard's shoulders. So in case both of them go off form we don't have the rest of the team standing there with their thumb up their asses not knowing wtf to do. Atm we look absolutely clueless when we have the ball. The "pass it to Hazard and Fabregas they'll know what to do" tactic isn't working. We end up resorting to desperate long range attempts and crosses into no man's land. Both Hazard and Fabregas deserve to be criticized because they have been very poor but Mourinho deserves to be criticized too for not instilling any kind of attacking patterns into this team and for purely relying on individual brilliance to get us goals. We should be trying to break down teams by using rehearsed team patterns. I'm not seeing any of that. Everyone just seems to be moving off the ball as they please. Making runs when they feel like it instead of moving as a team and synchronizing their off the ball movement with eachother.
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmPaYkQJmfE The referee asked our medical staff to come onto the field. Twice. Also look at how Hazard is lying there on the ground. There's just no way anyone (neither Mourinho or the medical staff) could have known he wasn't seriously injured.
  16. Mourinho is responsible for this whole circus. Losing his shit because our medical staff were doing their job. Publicly criticizing the medical staff. He could have just deflected the question but no he had to go and make it into the shitstorm it has now become. I don't really see much wrong with Eva's post. She thanked people for their support on the matter. Not exactly like she told Jose to f*** off. Some of the arguments are ridiculous. "People wouldn't care about this if she wasn't a hot/popular women" : Such bs. I can honestly say that i would feel the exact same way about this if our club physio was a fat, bald guy. All the feminists can also crawl back under the rock they came from as Jose would have reacted the exact same way if it were a guy. Gender played no part in this circus. This is about right or wrong not man or women. "Jose is the best manager ever while Eva is just a physio. she's replaceable, he's not." : Utter crap this. This isn't about who's more replaceable or who has more power. Again, this is about right or wrong. "She shouldn't posted that tweet on facebook (or twitter or whatever)" : Well guess what, when you publicly criticize a person they might not like it, like at all. It's the same thing when your boss tears you a new asshole in front of your colleagues or if your parent berate you in front of your friends. Nobody likes getting criticized but getting criticized in public just adds a whole new layer of embarrassement to the mix. All this s*** should have just been kept and dealt with in-house.
  17. You need a reality check about consistency and the way we approach big games. You're talking about 10 quiet games over a period of 8-9 months with around 55 games played. Expecting players to be playing at top form for 50 out 55 games is just mental. Even Messi and Ronaldo don't have that kind of consistency. Our approach in big games is simple. We basically just sit deep and rely on individual brilliance, set pieces or 1 of our opponents messing up. Our attackers see far less of the ball then they normally do, have a lot more defending to do and also receive the ball in our own half instead of the opponents half. These factors all have a negative influence on the performance of our attacking players.
  18. Bellerin "owned" Hazard ? lol. Sure cause Hazard had so many opportunities to go 1 on 1 with him... For the majority of the game Hazard didn't even go up against Bellerin. Hazard spent most of his time drifting centrally between the lines or dropping deep, in our own half, to pick up the ball.
