I understand what you're saying but again i just don't see us coming up with anything that would be believable. Alleging "enough is enough" or saying it was" damaging the club's image" isn't gonna work because, as a doctor, she didn't do anything wrong in that incident with Mourinho. Also how exactly did she damage the club's image ? Did she damage us by getting berated, publicly called naive and then punished by not being allowed to sit on the bench ?
-
I think she wasn't officially demoted but even if it's not a demotion it could still be seen as punishment for the incident with Mourinho. It probably felt like a demotion though for her. Either way though, punishment or demotion it wasn't right what happened to her. She just did her job yet got berated, publicly called naive and then denied to sit on the bench and act as teamdoctor on matchday as she had done for many years here.
-
You're right the club can spin this anyway they want but why would anyone believe them ? Anyone with half a brain would be able to see through the bs and realize Carneiro wasn't demoted for mistakes in the past but because of the incident with Mourinho. I mean if i heard that story i'd be thinking " Well why did they wait so long to demote her ? Why didn't they demote her right after her mistakes in the past ? Why did they only demote her after the incident with Mourinho ?" It simply doesn't add up. She has a strong case against both the club and Mourinho. She's very likely to win both.
-
You do realize you've just given the perfect example of why net spend is an incorrect way to measure ambition ? Unless you actually believe us and Palace share the same ambition.
-
"Bathe in the glory" Are you talking about being happy with winning the title ? If you are then that's just ridiculous. I was happy with us winning the title but that doesn't obligate me to like what Mourinho was doing at this club. Come on now let's be real here. Lionsden getting banned was an utter disgrace. Acting like it was justified is hilariously stupid although i shouldn't be suprised that it's coming from you. He was a critical member yes but that doesn't warrant a ban. Being critical isn't against the rules. You guys fucked up.

Use our Academy talents. Play attacking possession footbal.(play and win with style) Sign younger talented players in their early 20's. We tried to go for Guardiola. When that didn't work we turned to Mourinho. The manager that embodied the opposite of what we were trying to achieve here. Pretty sure we told him a bit more then that. In his first season he was talking a lot about playing attacking football and winning with style, implementing youth, long term plans. I'm fairly certain we asked Mourinho to go against his nature and try and implement the things we wanted as a club. (What i wrote above) The club thought he could change, Mourinho thought he could change. He couldn't change though. We won a league title but it came at a big cost. I know a lot of people aren't gonna wanna hear this but rehiring Mourinho was a massive mistake maybe even the biggest mistake the club made in the Roman Abramovich period.
-
Plenty of people were already complaining (bashing) about Mourinho before this season including myself but we were labeled moaners. I remember a thread being made or renamed, last season, as "the moaning thread" (or something along does lines) to ridicule us. Kinda funny that a moderator would say this considering Lionsden, who was a big critic of Mourinho, was banned for being "overly critical".

Yeah and after that you said this "Players can play bad and the manager is the one who gets the sack, no power and control. The manager can cry for reinforcements but the former lady coach Emenalo is the one who gives you the players, no power and control." To any sane person no power and control means 0 power and control. If you wanted so say not 100 % power and control you should have said so. Your mistake, not mine. Again typical, focusing only on the last summer window and not on the ones before it. Yes we only bought, Djilobodji, Baba, Begovic and (loan) Falcao in the summer. In the previous ones we did buy Willian, Matic, Schurrle, Salah, Zouma, Costa, Fabregas, Cuadrado, Luis and Remy though. I already explained it before. Net spend doesn't tell the whole story. The reason our net spend is so low compared to other top teams is because we had high value players sitting on the bench as they didn't fit into Mourinho's starting eleven. That and because we are trying to be a self- sufficient club. Something which Mourinho knew fully about before he accepted the job here. Also before you try and twist this. I used the amount of money we spent on bringing in players(13 players, over 300 million) to prove that we did back him not to say we spent the same or more money then the other top teams. "Mata played more then Schurrle" Yeah but he didn't play more then Hazard, Oscar and Willian though making him 4th in the pecking order and spending a lot of time on the bench. "De Bruyne wanted to leave" Jee i wonder why ? Maybe it had something to do with him only starting 5 games in 5 months here. Luiz was a ball playing CB being used sporadically in the big games as a DM because Mourinho didn't trust him as a CB. We sold players that were sitting on the bench to strenghten our starting eleven. Mourinho loves Mikel and Ramires. (especially Ramires, "my Ramires is back") The club wouldn't have had to buy another left back if Mourinho didn't screw over Filipe Luis the season before. He insisted with Ivanovic at right back and Azpi at left back even though it was clear Ivanovic was declining. Filipe Luis got pissed off and left. Did you really think the club was gonna buy an expensive left back to sit on the bench again ? "and Oscar as a starting player." Mourinho was the one who elected Oscar to be his number 10.. Over Mata and De Bruyne. That's not on the club, that's on Mourinho. "Which big club in the world would sell your 2 times player of the year to a direct rival, in the middle of the season?" A big club that cocked up by hiring a manager that felt our 2 times player of the year wasn't part of his starting eleven. "Which big club would ignore the pleads of the manager after winning the league?" A big club that is trying to be self-sufficient and doesn't have the money to spend 140 million euros on 2 players (Pogba, Stones) just because the manager pleaded with them. To all your other which big clubs would... questions. : A big club that wants to be self-sufficient financially but has a small stadium so therefore they need to sell to direct rivals when the money's too good to turn down, have a million players out on loan and use a 1 out first then 1 in policy. Didn't i already explain this to you before in another thread ? "The above piece summarizes the backing Jose got from the board and the ambition from the club" Nooo the piece you posted summarizes your twisted, positive Mourinho/ negative everyone else, view. He was backed here but within the limitations of the club's new self-sufficient policy. Again Mourinho not getting every single player he wanted or not getting them immediately doesn't mean we didn't back him. "You're either a sheep that likes attention from the Emenalo cultists (your pic proves that), a Mourinho hater or a person with a very low IQ." Must have hit a nerve ? Unlike you i can simply see through Mourinho's BS.

It's going to take time to fix this team. For me the main problem was/still is that this team has been playing reactionary football for the past 2 and a half years. We always adapted ourselves to the opposition. The defensive side seemed like the only thing that was actually coached and was focused on taking as little risk as possible and giving as much protection to our back four as possible. (just think about Willian/Ivanovic where willian had to act like a wingback and constantly drop extremely deep while Ivanovic was just standing there on the edge of the box, hands behind his back, watching Willian do his job for him.) Our attack in those 2 and a half years was primarily focused on individual brilliance. Relying heavily on our attacking players improvising on the spot without any rehearsed patterns of play to help them. When the majority of our attacking players were in form we played well but that only lasted for about 4 months. After that the majority of our attacking players form dipped. Luckily Hazard's didn't and we were able to rely solely on his individual brilliance for our attack while going more defensive to compensate for the lower attacking output (as we were only relying on 1 player instead of 5 to create, score ) We simply don't have an actual system (attacking wise) in place to which our players can fall back to when they're not in top form. That's why the team collapsed the way it did. We just pass the ball around aimlessly because none of our attacking players are in good enough form to force the issue on their own. I'm not expecting any miracles from Hiddink i just hope he will instill the basics, for attacking football, into this team again. Lay the foundation so another manager can come in and not have to start from scratch like Hiddink has to now.

The emenalo avatars are just a funny response to the ridiculous scapegoating of Emenalo by Mourinho cultists and yes i'm gonna continue to use that word because it's very fitting for you lot. Also according to a lot of you he's the main reason Mourinho was fired so to me he's a freakin legend. (not serious, tongue in cheek moment) Mourinho wasn't sacked for not retaining the title though. He was sacked for "leading " us 1 point off relegation. No mate it's you who's trying to take the focus off the previous transferwindows and focus only on the summer transfer window. We never sold any players that were starters under Mourinho. The only players we sold were squad players. We did strenghten. We bought Willian, Matic, Fabregas, Costa, Pedro. I would classify those players as "real additions". We also bought Filipe Luis. If Mourinho had actually played him instead of continuing with Azpi at left back Luis wouldn't have left and we wouldn't be forced to keep playing Ivanovic at right back. "You'll also notice that it's not just Emenalo, but the entire board AND Mourinho who are receiving criticism" When have you or any of the Mourinho cultists criticised Mourinho ? The only thing i've seen from you guys has been something along the lines of "yes Mourinho isn't blameless but..." and then you guys give a whole list of excuses why Mourinho isn't to blame and then go on by blaming the players, the board, Emenalo basically everyone else, for the problems at this club.
-
Ah yes ofcourse, Mourinho had no power or control here. Just a helpless bystander as Emenalo sold all of Mourinho's favorite players like De Bruyne, Mata, Luiz, Luis and Lukaku. Diabolical that Emenalo. Quick question. If, according to you, Emenalo was in charge of bringing in the players and Mourinho didn't have any power or control here doesn't that mean that Emenalo was actually responsible for winning us the title last season and not "the individual". Seriously though. Getting fed up with these Mourinho cultists rewriting history, scapegoating Emenalo and acting as if Mourinho is the victim in all this while he was actually the architect to this nightmare of a season we're having. Also @ Ossie : Could you stop with this "we didn't back him" crap already ? It's ridiculous. I already posted it twice. We spent over 300 million euros on 13 players in the last 5 transferwindows. We backed him. Backing a manager doesn't mean buying every single player he wants no matter how insane the transfer fee. So what if he didn't get Pogba (Juve wanted 90 million euros for him) or Stones (Everton wanted over 50 million euros for him). That's not a valid reason for "leading" us to 1 point off relegation.
-
That's different. Falcao had a serious knee injury. After that he's never been the same.
-
Remy is injured and Fabregas didn't travel because he's sick (fever)
-
Hmm just read this from a member on another Chelsea forum : "Was at the game and saw as he got up from the foul he was struggling. The bench asked him twice about coming off, I think if he had started he would have come off. After Leicester he must have thought twice about it. He couldn't run properly after the pen and was limping when not involved." Doesn't sound too good.
-
Haven't seen Spain play for a while now but i've heard the same thing about Fabregas this season. If i had to venture a guess i'd say they pack their midfield more and play more over the ground then we do, which would benefit Fabregas. Imo 4-3-3 is the only way we can make full use of Fabregas.
-
it's a more balanced lineup because we'd be going from a 2 man midfield to a 3 man midfield. Neither Matic or Fabregas would be tasked with shielding the back four as that would be primarily Mikel's job. Both Matic and Fabregas would have a bit more freedom to express themselves ( which might invigorate them) as they'd have Mikel playing behind them. I know Costa is suspended but the lineup i gave wasn't just for this game alone.
-
Think he got banned there aswell.
-
Don't think so. Haven't seen any news about it.
-
Courtois Azpi Cahill Zouma Baba/Kenedy Mikel Cesc Matic Willian Hazard Remy/Costa Feel like this would be our most balanced and best lineup for this season. Our strongest wing (defensively (Azpi, Willian)) with our weakest central players (defensively ( Cahill, Cesc)). On the other side our weakest wing (defensively (Baba/Kenedy, Hazard)) with our strongest central players ( defensively (Zouma, Matic)). - Natural attacking fullbacks - Less reliance on Fabregas for defensive solidity - 3 man midfield so more cover, more freedom for our front 3 - More freedom for Matic to press and harass as he'd have Mikel behind him protecting the back four.
-
The thing is your acting like this club is still run in the same manner as it was in the beginning of the Roman Abramovich era. It's not. We're no longer the financial power house that could just blow other teams out of the water and buy whatever player we wanted. We've gone down a different road with this club. We're trying to balance the books. Become a self-sufficient club. That means there are limitations to how much money we can spend over a short period of time. If Morinho couldn't handle that then he had no future at this club anyway. The whole notion though of "Mourinho didn't get every single player he wanted in the transferwindow so they didn't back him" is just ridiculous. We were backing him. We were slowly but surely building the squad he wanted. Players who had no/very little role to play in his system were sold while we bought players who could. Also i find it hilarious that you're actually blaming the board for Ivanovic starting at RB. The blame falls firmly on Mourinho's shoulders for that. He was the one that stuck our best RB (Azpi) on the LB position and in the process alienated a very good attacking LB (Luis).
-
How about you drop the condescension, okay mate ?
-
You're ignoring the fact Mourinho WAS backed in the transferwindows before. I'm not gonna post all the names again but there were 13 players in 5 transferwindows brought in. An investment of 306 million euros was made. You can moan all you want about the last transferwindow it's still not a valid excuse for being 16th in the league, 1 point off relegation after 16 games. I could understand your point if say we sold some of our starters over the summer and didn't replace them properly but that's not the case here. The only players that we sold over the summer were squad players and we adequately replaced them. Cech out - Begovic in Drogba out - Falcao in Cuadrado out - Pedro in Luis out - rahman in
-
I don't see it as wasting. With proper guidance i feel Kenedy could be an excellent attacking fullback. I think he would have more of a future there then as a winger or second striker.
-
I know Kenedy is not a defender but nowadays a lot of fullbacks have started out as wingers and were transformed into fullbacks. In modern football the fullback has essentially taking over the role of the winger. Marcelo, Alaba, Alba, Alves, the list goes on. All fullbacks that have been put in that role because of their attacking abillity. Kenedy is 19 years old and could be taught to defend. Ofcourse he'd never be as good a defender as someone like say Azpi but he could be taught the basics so he wouldn't be a liability in that position. At the end of the day he would be put there primarily because of his attacking abillity.
