Tired of this. Just going in circles. Been called that before on this forum. Didn't see you stepping in and "correcting" people.
-
Oh come on you're absolutely mental if you think Emenalo has total control over our transfers.
-
Is this supposed to be your evidence that only a blind person can't see ? Cause your evidence is vague at best.
-
How do you know he is responsible for that ? Again you have no clue what he does exactly and how much power he has or what decisions he's made. Yes i agreed that people had doubts but it's only after Mourinho got the sack that the whole Emenalo out went into freakin hyperdrive. But how can you say with certainty that Emenalo is the one responsible ? (and you seem quite sure of that since you just signed a petition to get him fired and blame him for everything that went wrong )
-
(Sorry to multi post but i didn't see this comment before.) Doesn't the bolded part prove you're just looking for a scapegoat ? You don't seem to care who gets sacked aslong as someone is and i just don't agree woth that.
-
Please don't try and take the moral highground on this. It's ridiculous. I remember people were doubtful of him in the beginning since he had very little experience but it was nowhere near as bad as now after Mourinho got the sack. You can't argue that Mourinho getting sacked is the driving force behind these Emenalo out stuff. In your petition as one of the main reasons for the petition he gets held solely responsible for us sacking "the greatest manager the club has ever had" while also claiming that he's got full control over the transfers. I mean come on, people are clearly just pissed because Mourinho got sacked and they want blood. Emenalo is the easy victim. It was only after Mourinho got sacked and Emenalo gave that interview that people went crazy over Emenalo and started screaming Emenalo out. What evidence ? Please elaborate.
-
It's not about caring or not caring. People are calling for Emenalo's head even though they have absolutely no clue how much power he has and what decisions were actually his. I mean this petition is ridiculous. If you actually think Emenalo has "full control" over transfers then you're just retarded. Let's face it the people who sign this petition are just Mourinho fanboys who are acting like vindictive cunts looking for a scapegoat because they're favorite manager got the sack, after leading us to 1 point off relegation in 16 games.
-
No no we sacked the individual that brought this club down. Undefeated since.
-
I agree with your last sentence so i'm just gonna respond to the middle section of your post. Like you say both of us are just guessing as we don't know for sure. I believe Mourinho always had a big say in what players we bought. Take Cuadrado for instance. Do i believe he was handpicked by Mourinho ? No, but i also don't believe Emenalo and the board made the decision to buy him on their own. I think the club always tried to go after Mourinho's first choices but if they weren't available or too expensive then we offered him alternatives to pick from. That's atleast how i saw/see it.
-
But Mourinho shaped "this collection of footballers" the way it is now (played a very big part in it atleast). We had plenty of creative players when Mourinho arrived here. He could have focused on reshaping our defense, to fit a more attacking approach, instead he got rid of most of the creative players, stripped us down to the bare minimum of creative players and picked players that would suit a more pragmatic approach. Mourinho picked a pragmatic system even though he had options to go a different way. He chose to go that direction, he wasn't forced into it.
-
Understand what you're saying but we've been doing this for some time now and it is beneficial for us in the long run. We've made plenty of profit on players from our loan system and that does help us in buying players for the first team. I've said it before in the transferwindow thread but i'm expecting nothing from actual reinforcements this window. We have very little to play for this season and we don't know who our manager will be next season so it really doesn't make any sense to buy players for the first team.
-
Think this guy is just another young prospect which we'll buy cheap, loan out out and try and sell again after a couple of years for a profit. Papy and Hector fall into that category aswell. I don't think the club is actually thinking about them as starters. Unless they develop extremely well. Could be that he'll stay at the club first and take up the number 4 cb slot, basically taking over from Papy and then get loaned out next season. Falcao was a stupid deal (was against it the moment i heard about it). As long as Remy stays and we aren't left with just Costa, Pato and Falcao i'm fine with Pato. Seems like a low risk (low investment) / high potential reward to me.
-
Well i think it's a mixture of the 2. Next season we definitely need better players at key positions ( defense and midfield need a bit of an overhaul) but the criticism of our players has been over the top aswell. The majority of our players aren't as bad as they've been playing this season. Also there's been some improvement under Hiddink. Costa is scoring again. Fabregas is getting back to his best. If Hiddink can get Hazard back to his best or closer to it then our attack should be back in business. Our defense is a bit of a worry as even at their best they still need plenty of protection to be solid but Hiddink has gone a different way to "protect" them. Under Mourinho, in big games, we put everyone behind the ball and took as little risks as possible. Hiddink is proving right now that there's a different way to deal with having a poor defence. Instead of putting as many players behind the ball as possible we're actually trying to press high up the pitch and when we do sit deep we don't sit as deep as we did under Mourinho. We're still making it difficult for the other team when they enter our half. We're not allowing them to just stroll into our final third. Under Mourinho i felt like we made it too easy for the opposition at times.
-
But there is a middle ground. There's not just parking the bus or playing like Barcelona. Imo we should adopt an attacking possession based style and try and play our own game but if we face teams like Barcelona or Bayern then yes ofcourse we'll have to go a bit more defensive but do we really need to completely forsake our own system ? Cannabalise our own attacking power ? Put 10 players in our own box and hope for the best ? Because when you say "was jose right ?" that's what jose is all about against the big teams, parking the bus. Nullifying the opposition at the cost of his own team's attacking strenght and i just don't agree with that.
-
Please stop with this nonsense. We don't need the best players to have more possession and better overall play. I mean seriously did you see the shit on a stick football we had to endure since january last year. There were midtable teams, with a fraction of our budget, that had more possession and better overall play this season. Under Mourinho, this season, we were one of the worst sides in the PL. Under Jose 16 PL games, 9 losses, 3 draws, 4 wins. 15/48 points. Since he got sacked, without any new signings. 7 PL games, 0 losses, 4 draws, 3 wins. 13/21. If we win against Watford we'll have gotten more points in half the games. Sooo i'm gonna have to go with no he wasn't right. He was very, very wrong.
-
Well that's your choice. It's not because you don't do it that other people aren't allowed to do it. He's allowed to express a negative opinion of Mourinho.
-
Supporting the club or supporting Mourinho ? Cause petr.ispirescu didn't say anything bad about Chelsea FC.
-
Don't know why you even bothered. Blue Fox has been PMSing ever since "the individual" got the sack. Just put him on ignore. It'll save you the trouble.
-
We bought plenty in the previous windows though. Also it's not like we didn't try to buy in the summer. Reported that we went after Pogba and we were also very in for Stones but Everton and Martinezs stubborness on the matter, along with our reluctance to splash crazy cash on Stones, fucked it up.
-
The outrage over this is just hilarious. That evil Emenalo at work again. Diabolical isn't he ? We don't know who our manager will be next season and we have very little to play for this season so why is it so important that we buy this guy again ? I mean seriously what's the point of buying a £ 29 million player if we don't know whether or not our future manager actually wants him ? Just chill out people. We'll buy in the summer. When we've got our new manager and know what he wants.
-
Yeah, i get what you're saying but i think it would be difficult finding upgrades on Fabregas and Costa given our current situation (No CL football). I mean you're talking about buying 6 first team players in 1 transfer window. Even if we weren't in this mess it would be difficult. I'd already be happy if we could keep all 5 players you mentioned and add those 4-5 players for the positions i mentioned in my first post. About Costa, i agree his technical abillity is limited. That's why i'd want a second striker that's good in the air (physical) and can hold on to the ball under pressure (back to goal (technical)). Kinda the opposite of Costa. I actually find it a bit odd that all three of our current strikers are so similar to each other. All three our strikers are poachers that don't offer much to the team besides goals. You'd think atleast one of them would be a different type to mix it up a bit. Whatever we do in the summer i just hope we take some steps forward. Choose a style, commit to it and only buy real quality not stopgaps.
-
For the summer transferwindow: Imo we need an attacking left back, a ball playing centerback (preferably an experienced one since he would be partnering Zouma), an all around midfielder (switch to a 4-3-3) and a physical target man (as second striker (bench option)). If we've got cash left a defensive midfielder to replace Mikel in the starting lineup. Courtois; Azpi, Zouma, new CB, new LB; Mikel/new DM; Fabregas, new CM; Willian, Costa, Hazard. Shadow team: Begovic, Ivanovic (i'd prefer we'd let him go but according to reports we're offering him a new contract so, sure), Cahill, Terry, Baba, Mikel, Matic, RLC, Pedro, Kennedy, new striker. Then we still have Amelia, Blackman, Remy, Oscar, Ramires, Papy, Traore. 4-5 signings and we'd be right back in it. Problem is, can we keep our key players and bring in top players without CL football ?

Hiddink said this before the Everton game. "There were no injuries in [the West Brom] game," Hiddink said. "The only one not available yet is Eden Hazard, although he is on the pitch working and I hope in the upcoming week he can enjoy full training sessions and then we can decide whether he can join us for the Arsenal game. "We have to be a little bit careful that we don't have another setback. He must have some tough, intense training sessions from Tuesday to Thursday."

Sorry but that's just ridiculous. Do you really need the expertise of medics and doctors to realize you can't run ? After his fall against Leicester he was struggling to just walk off the pitch. He actually had to pause and take a couple of seconds before he could continue walking again to the touchline. I mean he missed the next game and then almost 2 weeks later he still wasn't 100 % and only played 25 minutes. Seems like pretty conclusive proof that the injury was serious. Against Palace he strained his groin taking a shot on goal, tried to continue and 5 minutes later he slipped which worsened the injury. Again do you really need a medic or doctor's expertise to realize you've strained your groin and shouldn't continue ? Also it's pretty clear that he wasn't 100 % when he came in against Watford and started against Man United 2 days later. Hiddink even said so. No coincidence that he injured his groin on the same side as his hip injury. You say his attitude stinks. That he shows zero fight and commitment but if that really was the case then why didn't he just tell Hiddink that he wasn't 100 % and couldn't play against Watford (Won the penalty remember?), Man United and Palace ? Why go through the trouble ? Why would he try if his attitude stinks ? If he doesn't want to fight ? If he isn't commited to us ? Why try ? I get the feeling that due to Hazard's lack of injuries people seem to think that he's always 100 %. That he never plays with minor injuries, which is simply impossible with the amount of times he gets the absolute shit kicked out of him. I think a lot of people underestimate Hazard's abillity to presevere, to play with injuries. He's played 188 games for us in 3 and a half seasons. (stat stolen from Styles ) There's no way he played all those games, in such a short time, without having to go through pain and other difficulties from injuries. I mean how many times does he get kicked from behind on the ankles and his achilles. How many times have oppponents stomped on his feet. How many times have they kicked him on the legs because they were either to slow or trying to cynically stop him. There's no way he could have played all those games without being strong-willed to play. "He is the most undeserving recipient of the Player of the Year award I can remember" Let's be fair, he had several good spells last season, but in terms of consistency, the fact he beat Terry, Azpilicueta and Matic, who were all utterly outstanding from start to finish, to that accolade was an absolute piss-take It really wasn't. You're rewriting history there. Last season he wasn't great in the first 2 months( August & September) but from October he was performing really well and created lots of chances. Only difference between before january and after january is that he became more decisive. After January and onwards he got the goals and assists that won us games. Pretty sure Matic was among the players that had a dip in form around the january period. Him, Cahill, Ivanovic dropping form was a big reason of why we went more pragmatic. ( along with Fabregas, Oscar and Costa dropping form aswell) Terry and Azpi were consistent but as a defender it's easier being consistent as there are quite a number of games where our defense had very little to do. Before january we were dominating the opponents and they weren't really able to threaten us that much. After january we went very defensive which made it easier for our defenders as they had more support. To be clear not saying they didn't have great season but were their performances of such a level that they deserved the accolade over Hazard ? No I don't think so. Hazard carried our attack that second part of the season. It was all on him to create our chances. He had a free role but in exchange was given very little support. In difficult circumstances, with the title on the line, he stepped up. If he didn't we wouldn't have won the league. Why would Bale, James, Griezmann want to come here ? Why would they leave their club that has CL football for one that doesn't ? I've seen people say "well it would only be for 1 season" but we can't guarantee that so why would they take the risk. Also they have other teams after them aswell that can offer CL football next season. So again why would they come here ? Reus is injury prone. Just take a look at his injury record. I don't think he would take too well to the PL. The tackles, the amount games we play in short time, no winter break. "We play better without him" And you're basing this on what exactly ? The Sunderland game ? Watford game ? Palace game ? We've been a bit better under Hiddink. All the players seem to be performing better under him. Before you make such claims shouldn't you actually wait untill Hazard plays a couple of games under Hiddink ? So far he's played 25 minutes against Watford and 90 minutes against Man United. He won the penalty against Watford that should have won us the 3 points and created the best chance for us in the Man United game, playing out of position, while not being 100% fit. Ivanovic gets slagged off more because he's clearly passed his best. While he's improved his performances from the beginning of the season he still gets beaten far too easily in 1 on 1 situations and his attacking contributions are close to zero even though he gets the most space out of all our players. Hazard became 25 just a couple of days ago. He still has a lot of football left to play and it's a lot more likely that he'll regain his form. Don't get why you're bringing up Drogba's return. I don't think anyone here actually believes Drogba is coming back to motivate Hazard to stay. He's simply here to appease the fans. Honestly don't want to go too deep into the whole Azpi left back thing as this post is already extremely long. I'll just say this. I don't like Azpi on the left. Azpi on the left is an extremely negative, pragmatic choice. Hazard would thrive (and would have thrived) much more if he got (had gotten) an actual left footed attacking fullback overlapping him. "You aren't allowed the freedom in the Premier League that Barcelona can offer Messi, Neymar, and Suarez." City frequently play with 2 attacking fullbacks, a 2 man midfield consisting of Fernandinho and Yaya Touré and a front four Sterling Silva De Bruyne Aguero. It's possible if you have the balls. It doesn't have to be so extreme as Barcelona but it is possible for our widemen not to have to defend so deep. If you push up your defense then your attackers, along with your midfield, have far less ground to cover. Otherwise our front players have to constantly run 40- 50-60 yards to get back into position then when we recover the ball they have to run 40-50-60 yards before they get into the final third of the opposition. Willian is Willian, Hazard is Hazard. Willian doesn't have the abillity that Hazard has on the ball. Hazard doesn't have the stamina and workrate that Willian has. Play them to their strenghts and don't shoehorn them into a role that doesn't suit them. "as a number 10 (where he struggles to impose himself on the opposition)" Struggles to impose huh. Norwich, Stoke and Stoke in the COC. He's played his best games this season on the 10.
