Obviously they are not better than them 2 now but do they have the potential to be? I would say yes. Ake has started games for us at the age of 17/18 while Matic struggled to ever get in our lineup. Stoch is a winger so I will not say much about him but he was never good enough to be a regular starter here. I know he did not get many starts but the only time I saw him produce something was in our win against Stoke where he came on and changed the game and Lamps scored a last min winner (think it was Stoke). I am confused though. Why do you reckon he has made that point because Ba is black. In his other post he compliments Mata. But I don't see what is so ludicrous what he wrote about Ba. I think it is true, he has been inconsistent but it can be difficult for a striker to settle in. Anelka as he pointed out was a flop at first but when given more time and a change in position he was excellent. So maybe Ba can do the same.

Anelka took time to hit his stride, slower than Ba then after he settled in he proved to be a key player for us.

I can't say he is overrated because his goal tally is excellent but I agree with you on the fee. I don't want us spending £50m+ plus on any striker following the Torres saga.

Fair enough but whether they will give him the wages he is after is another thing which may be difficult for them bringing in a high caliber striker so that will eb the difficult thing.Maybe Jackson Martinez is a good bet for them.

I also find it hard when people say Cech is much better, simply because Courtois has just been all positives since his move to Atletico and you can't really pick out any flaws from his game to say he is inferior to Cech.

Well hopefully Cech is not derailed by injuries however unlike VdS, Cech has had more injuries and maybe this could be a problem in the future, hopefully not and with Courtois he could be the no.1 keeper here for maybe up to two decades. Future sorted

Why rotate him when he can have a full season out on loan. We are just taking valuable game time from him. No point having both of them rotate because say Courtois has one excellent game for us then gets rotated next game, not really good for confidence and it brings uncertainty for the keepers.

The talent they bring through is amazing. Developed Moses, Zaha and Williams to the first team and all have brilliant careers ahead of them. Hiram Boateng is another one of their talents who will soon come through as well.

Zola done well to reach with Watford here but tactically he needs to be better. Some of the football Watford played was very enjoyable to watch but did not have a back up plan. Palace set up well for them and even near the end, he stuck with same formation, he should change formation or something but that is a weakness he needs to improve on IMO. Interesting for Chalobah next season...

Most players in his position, normally move to Ajax and if I was him I would do the same with the expected departures of Eriksen and SDJ. We have a history of signing players like this and then not giving them chances so surprised he would come here if he has choices. If he is set on coming here, good on him but I think he would be best served going to a team such as Ajax.

Even they are not stupid to get him back, no matter how good he was in his spell there. They are looking at Suarez, Negredo, Yilmaz, Cavani and Martinez as possible replacements.
