Mourinho's first game so will take the win but second half was poor. Tempo was awful and I know Mourinho has no Ronaldo but I hope we up our tempo and go for goals like Mourinho said because we held back too much second half but the win is most important anyway. 3 points anway and on to Villa but I hope Mourinho does not do any of this 1-0 defensive minded football. Well when you look at it they still have the same team from last season and sent a huge message out yesterday. The only reason why people are doubting United is because of Moyes replacing Fergie but that is quite exaggerated to say it is "absolutely unacceptable" to finish below them. They are still very strong and most importantly have the best striker in the league.

I am not going to keep commenting on individual performances but that does not mean he is awful. If KDB has a bad game should I point that out. It happens. I don't know how good he was today anyway, just know they lost but it happens. I just pointed that out because some of the stuff I saw you write about Wilshere was ludicrous but I commented on the England game in particular because that night he literally carried the team by himself.

I remember saying the same last season at many points about Spurs and Liverpool finishing ahead of Arsenal but they always manage somehow to finish top 4. Loads more games to go anyway.

But Sturridge will out score Torres. Even last season Torres played more than Sturridge and when Sturridge left he outscored Torres, LOL. Sturridge is a quality striker, better than Torres and even if he misses some, he also scores and has created a few, eg us last season goal and assist. Torres is a mere disappointment.

But that is not saying Moses is better. He is probably questioning why people are assuming KDB is better than Moses although he has not played for us before. Moses was exceptional at Wigan, similarly to KDB at Werder Bremen and now they are both playing for much better clubs. So in other words I think he feels we should wait to see if KDB can make the step up which is fair enough to me.

Exactly my point. I think KDB will be a very good addition but I think some people have been misguided. I completely agree with you. I was judging on form why i think Moses should start. KDB was fantastic last season and I hope he builds on that but I don't think no person on this thread has stated Moses is better than KDB.

This is why I don't want him. I get the impression of someone who still has scored goals but in a far inferior league and as you say I feel he realises the problems at Anzhi is going on so he thinks about his next pay packet. With Rooney, he will be on a lot of wages but he is younger and I get the impression that he actually wants to play for Chelsea unlike Etoo who really is after money. Yes, he will take a pay cut but he still will be earning a lot for a 32 year old. With Drogba, he obviously lost some pace but he has aerial ability and a lot to his game. Etoo, I think has lost a lot of that which is natural but I would rather him not here. I am sure he once he joined Anzhi he basically thought this is his retirement package so tbh I would rather him not here.

No way will we get both of them. Ba is not even on that much compared to what Rooney and Etoo get. We would be paying an astronomical amount of wages if we got both and it would be pointless. I think it would be unfair to get rid of Ba if we bought Etoo anyway.

Why do people keep going on about his performance from 1 game? WOW! Annoying thing is there is about a whole page of complaints of his performance against France on the De Bruyne page itself. Wenger has lost the plot. I don't get his ways and neither do Arsenal fans who believe he is deluded. They have got rid of Gervinho and not replaced him with a winger. Got rid of Djourou and Miquel on loan while Vermaelen faces a few weeks on the sidelines and he has not bothered to get a CB in for cover. Is he crazy? There only signing this summer has been that free transfer of Sanogo who will rarely see first team action. I reckon Villa can get something from the game tomorrow. He will start a lot of games actually. Not every game but used as rotation for sure.

Well to be honest although he would suit their style of play, right now he does not have the quality to play for them. Real Sociedad finished 4th last season and have got two important matches to get in the UCL. You would think they would aim higher than Josh. He was on loan at Boro last season and while I did not watch him very much he got mixed reviews there and I still think he ha s a lot to prove so if he managed a loan there that would be quite generous. It is a tough one for Josh as although he is still young and may play a few games this season if he does not manage a loan, much more was expected of him from when he first broke through but he has some ways stalled. Some people say it would be good if he stays with the team for this season and plays some games but I think it will be a waste of time. He will be more than 75% of the times, stuck to playing U21 football. I think he needs a loan where the playing style suits his play. A 4-3-3 set up and there is no point of him staying here while he is really down the pecking order. I am sure Mourinho wants him to gout on loan definitely so he can observe him. I don't agree with the thesis of chucking him in for the cup games. He needs regular first team football on a regular basis. Whether that has to be a Championship team again the so be it, however good players who are capable pf playing for us should be able to prove out on loan that they are ready to prove a point when they come back to us.

I don't think so. It is 50/50 really. I have a feeling Oscar and Hazard will both start then if Mata does not start as expected by many I reckon it is out of him and Moses for the starting slot. I just hope Ramires is not ton the RW and we put our natural wingers there.
