Dortmund chief executive/DOF remaining coy on reports that KDB is about to join them. Sky sports reporting this and I smell blood. He is on his way out, I am sure. How are we even contemplating selling him when one, he has not even played here yet, 2, he has had a brilliant season and 3 he is one of the best young and improving players to emerge out of Belgium. Are we seriously crazy? Going to go out on a mission to execute whoever responsible if true.
-
Can see why he is a huge favourite with people down here and why they want him as new manager but I am concerned with the way he has lost many of the dressing room at Real. If you have personal conflicts that is one thing but when you let that get in the way and start benching key players who represent a key symbol of the club (Casillas) that is a concern. Then to publicly degrade Casillas and Pepe the way he done was quite shocking IMO. Not a good example. Hope he does not encounter any of the problems if/when he comes here.
-
If this is true about KDB (which I hope is not) it is like we are following Real Madrid's route but a worse approach. We buy young players basically to sell them and the annoying thing is we spend quite a lot of money and wages on these players. At least with Real Madrid, most of them come out of their academy and then they sell so they are making a huge profit really. Soldado, Mata etc but their policy works, maybe they can give them more time before selling them but I hate this approach with the amount of young players we sign for them to not have a future here. Especially when you have done as well as KDB in his loan, we can't consider selling him, just principles, what kind of message do we want to send out?

Stop talking out of your ass mate. You are trolling. First you are chatting shit about us ruining strikers now this. Wow one assist, have you seen how many goals he has scored this season despite his age and being the club's all time record goalscorer. Idiot.
-
Well I was looking at their fixtures and they are unbeaten in their last 11. Never say never. Not an easy game on paper, just keep faith.

Feruz taking some justified bashing by the ITV commentators.
-
That is what i think will be the key factor for Feruz when he gets older. I think he will need to take pills similar to Messi to help his growth because he scores a few for youth team but if he made step up to big mens football I think he will struggle. He is not weak but due to his height I think he may struggle to make it at us. Who knows but he does not convince me fully yet. BTW, those Murphy twins are really good.

Always had a soft spot for Benfica for some reason. Think it is to do with their offensive style of play. Could understand the devastation for fans and players but who knows. You have a game on the last day where you should win with ease while Porto going to Pacos is not easy. They occupy third spot and playing away from home hopefully there is another twist. If only Benfica beat Estoril at home... maybe it was nerves.

I blame the management for not giving him a proper chance. Especially when English talent like that come along, to lose them is quite depressing.

Thought you were a girl then I realised your profile is a male. I am getting scared now

I understand he is not having his best moments at United but for people to say he has lost it IMO is crazy. He still has a few years left in him. He has not been prolific as other seasons but last season got over 30 club goals. Still a quality player. RVP went through 10 games where he was not performing. Does that mean he lost it? No, because I can guarantee Rooney will be back with goals galore wherever he is next season. He is not just a goalscorer but he creates brilliantly as well. But because of a few rifts and games where he has looked off colour people are saying he is past it? I don't understand. I am sure he will prove people wrong next season. He has had his injuries and problems this season but I generally feel Rooney would be a top acquisition here. If he wants a move here and is unsettled at United, great, we should welcome a striker of his caliber here. His goalscoring record against us is tremendous as well. IMO he is one striker who is able to pass, score and play well in other positions. Top player. The question is has he proved himself in the PL? Yes? Is he better than what we have right now? I would definitely say yes.

As much as I like Cole he has been vulnerable several times. Valencia almost always gets the better of him when he plays against him. Sissoko who is not even a winger made Cole his bitch in that 3-2 loss and had him doing the merry go round for parts of the match. Also he seems to have lost miles of pace. I remember watching the game against United in the FA Cup and Welbeck just blew past him. A few times I have seen that with Cole now. Quality player, I agree with you but his performances are hit and miss and he is getting older and probably going to have worse performances. The Villa game was one of a few this season where I would say he had a very good game. Also regarding Baines, I can honestly say I don't remember once this season where he has had a 'bad' game. He looks impressive every time I watch him and due to the narrow style we play, with not out and out wingers, I feel our play requires full/wing backs who are offensively dangerous like Baines. This is what IMO restricts us and is a hindrance because Cole is not offensively dangerous as he was before.
-
But what are your reasons for saying that? As a Chelsea fan it is easy to say Cole is the best LB in the world but facts is facts, he is not as good a she was before. He is exposed quite a lot and sometimes tbh I think he has been a liability this season. Baines in comparison has been superior to Cole all angles this season and that is obvious. Baines has been superb this season and I reckon he has surpassed Cole. Deserved to be in the team of the year.

There is an ex player thread for a reason. It is annoying that when people pay compliments to him there are people who keep saying the same thing as you about being moaning. The thread is here for a reason and if people have a problem let it be as this is a Sturridge thread. Same way Mikel gets slaughtered on his thread if he has a bad game, why not talk about Sturridge when he plays well?
-
Oh I thought you meant right now. But that is my point Sturridge still has potential and is going to get better. 2 years Feruz will be 19, I think he will be a good striker but do I think he will be in the first team I am not sure. How you think he will be better than Sturridge then is an unfounded conclusion because Sturridge is playing well and scoring for fun right now. If you think Feruz will be better than him in 2 years, he has to have got into the first team and be scoring on a regular basis in the Premiership which I do not think he is ready for and will be.
-
There is no point talking about Feruz right now. He is too young, no first team experience and would not make an impact right now. I am 100% sure of that. He has a long way to go. If we were considering giving him a chance right now I would blow my head off. He has a lot of developing to do on the pitch and off it and is only 17 and I think due to his height and not fully developing physically yet he would struggle if we were to put him in the firing line. To think Feruz has a chance of doing better than Sturridge right now IMO is absurd.

Henrique had to go down as the most controversial. Where do I start. Crazy claims such as Moses being bought because Emenalo is Nigerian Also don't think he knows the definition of a squad player and he has the cheek to say Choulo knows nothing about football
-
That doesnt mean anything tbf, managers choice. Torres got in ahead of Soldado for the World Cup squad yet Soldado manged over 20 goals. That doesnt mean Soldado is a bad player. Welbeck is a good player but not that prolific but does well for England however I would prefer Sturridge. Much more goals and think he is quality.

Covers face in palm. Hatrick. Don't care if people keep saying move on. Excellent striker and we are going to have to regret it. Better than Ba and Torres for sure. WOW, he could have done that for us if given the opportunity.
-
Congrats for Lamps on becoming the club's new all time top ever goalscorer on 203 goals. Excellent. How many times has he bailed us out this season? What a legend. Like the Villa game done the same against Everton in similar circumstances. 1-0 down and we win the game 2-1 and who scores both goals? Frankie Lampard. Happy he got the goals at such a pivotal moment for the club. His goals has secured our Champions League status next season and hopefully 3rd spot. Lampard was obviously the matchwinner but my MOTM goes to Hazard. Created both goals, the second one especially was something special and through out the game was a constant threat to the opposition and kept getting fouled but kept going on and on. Superb player, how many assists do him and Mata have all together? Fascinating amount for sure. Was hugely unimpressed wit Ba but hopefully he can pick up in his next game. I reckon Lukaku would suit our style more than Ba. Both have physical strength but Lukaku's movement and pace would benefit us more IMO as Ba has been decent since joining but he is very much hit and miss, definitely need a new striker, whether that be Lukaku and Ba and Torres, which I doubt as I reckon we will buy a new striker but I believe Lukaku deserves a shot next season as right now I think he is better than Ba and Torres. We got the 3 points in the end although we rode our luck. Benteke is absolutely clumsy for getting sent off because had it stayed 11 against 10 we would have got slaughtered as him and Agbonlahor were terrorising our defence. Last ten minutes was frightening though after Hazard got injured. It was 9 against 10 and I was literally shitting myself. Knew this would not be no walkover though, Villa's games against the big teams at Villa Park prove that but yes we done it and hopefully we get 3rd and build on for the better next season!
-
Ba has not done anything. Yes, service not been that good but when he has got the ball doesnt look threatening. Torres actually poses more of a threat when he comes off the bench opposed to starting.
-
Hurts to say this but I really want Torres on right now. Ba's physical approach is not hurting them where Torres pace might be more effective.
-
Ramires was like a loose cannon. Playing reckless with stupid challenges, Should have gone off first half and their pacey attack has exploited the likes of slow players such as Terry, Lamps, Cahill. Looks like this is going to the last day.
-
Doing quite well at Lille. Scoring on a regular basis and proving to be a real difference, scored a double tonight. Think he has around 13 goals in his first season there which is quite impressive. Would certainly be better than Marin and Benayoun put together right now. Even when he was at us, he was not everyone's favourite but we can't deny that he chipped in with a few goals at his time here.
-
Mata has to start this. He may be a bit tired but Villa will be no pushovers and we must start our best players. United won by the one goal in fortunate circumstances, as did City while Arsenal drew 0-0 down there. They won't roll over 8-0 like we beat them at the Bridge, they are more solid at home. I see no reasons why Mata should not start. Very important fixture. Lets's try to get the win first, if we are cruising then sub off important players but right now we need our best team available as when Mata does not play there is a sufficient difference. Hopefully Ba gets back on the scoresheet as well
