I disagree. Ake is a brilliant prospect but Omeruo is a little older who has already experienced a full season of proper competitive football which Ake has not. Omeruo was also part of the Nigerian side that won the ACN and featured in the confed cup. Ake has barely had first team football and I think we see his true potential at us in the DM slot. Ake is more or less definitely going on loan to Vitesse anyway but for CB right now if you were to ask me who is better I would say Omeruo as he has been exposed to more first team football (and impressed) than Ake.

As much as I like him and can understand the hype around him I doubt he will come here. First it is not his preferred destination and secondly he will not be an automatic starter IMO.

Must be a real talent if PL clubs (according to SkySports) are actually considering taking him on loan. Still think he would be best here for next season to continue his development then consider loaning him.

Ba has not failed. He could of done better but he still contributed to a few goals here. He has only been here since January and it can always be tough to make the step up. Not like he has gone on some massive goal scoring drought. He scored in important games and he deserves a full season before being branded anything.

Can't see it at all. Lukaku has had a similar season to him and I don't believe there is much between the two and buying Benteke would be like a kick in the teeth to Lukaku. I think if we do sign a striker it will be someone who has had a bigger rep over Europe and not just one season.

I agree. I mean we have a lot of money but spending over £1m for a then 18 year old who had only made 2 sub appearances for Forest seemed odd at the time. I know he scored 5 goals in one game in the youth cup but when you are Chelsea and you are buying someone that age, you would expect that they are getting regular football at their club. I mean 2 months he is going to be 20. Decent player but as you say can't see him appearing for the first team in the future. At 19/20 years old if he had some sort of indications he would be capable of playing for Chelsea in the future you would have thought he would be at a Championship club at least.

Fred is actually very underrated. He has proved that tonight. Regular goalscorer as is Cardozo. They just don't get the hype as others do when in reality they are both quality strikers. Also Pellegrini has done very well at the clubs he has managed. The only big, big team he has managed is Real and that was always going to be hard competing with Barca. But yeah Fred is a quality striker from what I have seen.

Yes. They both have the same style of play. They are like for like players, with their box-to-box play who both make the occasional long bursting runs, just seems that Paulinho is preferred for Brazil.

He did not have him on the bench because he was inferior to the other strikers. He knew Lukaku would get many starts but was also a lethal option of the bench. How many defences did he terrorize and score against after coming on? Liverpool home and away, United? Hatrick after coming on. That should not be the point anyway, he scored many goals for WBA and was one of the leading scorers in the PL. If he had started more he probably would have more goals. His goal return was fantastic in the end of the day and I am sure he will be even stronger next season at a club he has always dreamed of playing for.
