Was quite poor tonight tbh. You would expect him to standout. Looked too eager to impress but could not impose himself. Musonda and Palmer were the best players tonight.
-
Been on fire this season. Really stepping up to the plate. Scored a hattrick in our last U21 game against Liverpool, 2 against Maccabi in the UYL and now has added another against Reading U21. Been standout in every game I have watched him this season. Very similar to Boga and Musonda tbh. This should be moved to the player profiles tbh. No one checks in this section. Excited by him tbh. Just got a lot of competition like the rest of them.
-
Well he suffered/suffers from a lot of injuries that has halted his progress and even he did not do what Kane did.
-
I know and Kane has shown elements that he will be. I am a huge fan of Costa like you know but look at the age where he came a top striker. You can say the same about a lot of strikers. Kane is only 22 and has age on his side. Aguero, bar our game has struggled himself and so has Costa tbh. I don't think they have been found out. Just have struggled to get going. I think when Kane gets the first it will be the first of many.
-
I don't think he was underestimating Costa's ability. But it is the fact that a lot of top strikers had not achieved what Kane done at his age so it woudl be harsh to call him a one-season wonder.
-
Because he has got everything. Pace, hold up play, strength, technique, good on either foot and his general all round game is quality. To do what he done last season is fantastic and I have no doubts that he will turn out top quality. He is level-headed as well and I don't think he will be distracted by off-the ball stuff which some footballers are guilty off. I think he is one of the greatest talents England will have produced.
-
Kane is 22. How can you call him a one season wonder? Costa was not top class striker at that age. Kane will be a great striker.
-
His goal for QPR against Wigan a few seasons back was absolutely mental.
-
You know what makes me laugh and confuses me didier. You have made clear numerous times that you think Ivanovic is not good enough and how much of a liability he is when he plays, yet you have him listed as your favourite player
-
Just realised tbh. Even if it was on target they probably would have given it to Chambers anyway. They saw Hazard say the goal would do a lot for his confidence then they realised he was going to start destroying the opposition again and this is their best way they think to keep his confidence low. Hopefully he gets his deserved goal against Newcastle. Fantastic record against them.
-
They are trying their best to fuck up our team this season. It was on target right so should that not be given to him? How many cases have we seen where a shot has been on target and even though it has been deflected they have given it to the player who striked the ball? Joke.
-
He is quality. We have never given him the chance at first team level bar pre-season last year in which he arguably was our best player. Compared to Kakuta he has more intelligence, has dribbling ability and great awareness. SO he pretty much has it all. Dribbling, technique, strength, vision, intelligence, excellent acceleration on the ball. One of the most talented players his age group I have seen. The fact Rennes have loaned him at the age of 18 says a lot. They see a lot of skill in him despite his tender age.
-
He was actually the only player for me that impressed them. I remember seeing him and stating before he jumped on the first team scene that they had a player despite being in a poor team. When he had the ball, he dribbled at pace and looked a menace. A few weeks later I see he made the first team bench and from then his career has just bloomed. But yeah if Sane was here and Boga was there for instance we probably would see Boga getting chances or even Musonda. Sane has been given a path to first team football. Helps that he is physically ready too. Great talent. His goal against Stuttgart over the weekend was quality. He also put in an outstanding performance for their U19 against ours 2 season ago in the quarter final of the Uefa Youth League. Think we have come up against him at least 2-3 times. Is nice to see that players who only competed with our youth team players around a year ago or so are now making it big time within such a short space of time.
-
This. His ability to play those pinpoint long passes have always been in his locker. The ball he done for Falcao was fantastic.
-
He was rotated with his other clubs. He would be a sub then start then eventually he was a nailed on starter. Palace will be difficult because 2 strikers who were meant to be on the way out stayed and seem to be favoured ahead of him. And it will be hard for him to show what he can do at Palace when he only gets 20 min appearances and does not even make the squad. When Wickham comes back (likely this weekend) Bamford will not even get in the squad. Especially as Gayle got a hattrick and Cmapbell scored. I think you know who will be involved against Watford and Bamford will not.
-
Worse thing is come the weekend he will not even make the bench.
-
Quality player but he is not moving. He said this just over a week ago: "It's true that I had requests, notably last year, but I always wanted to grow and develop at PSG because this team is built to win big competitions," Matuidi said. "I feel good at the club and in the city. I'm Parisian so I really want to play with PSG. "My priority was always to stay here. In life you never know what tomorrow will bring but today I'm really happy at PSG." Think that is pretty much that and considering he is 28 this will probably be his last major club I assume unless he gets really discontent with life in Paris.

Southampton are a good team. They are badly missing Bertrand though and Soares is not physically strong like Clyne which is why they keep leaking goals. But they are a good team. That is not a walkover. Newcastle are awful right now but I hate playing them. They always up their game against us and that is when the likes of Sissoko decide to have the game of his lfe against us. They have amazingly beaten us in the last 3 visits. That ground has been a bad omen for us in recent season. Should win on paper but it is one of them games where a surprise is always possible.

Losing KDB has effectively put too bed any suggestion they had off testing Bayern this season. Either way the games have shown that without KDB they struggled to atatck Bayern. I never thought Gladbach would be in the top 3/4 tbh after they lost Kruse as Drmic is not as good and plus they lost Kramer back to Leverkusen but yeah I am shocked by their start tbh. Did not see them losing every game, especailly as some of the games they have played have been very winnable. Hope they find some form. Big fan of them.
-
Well maybe back in the day but since he went to City you are coming across as someone who dislikes him. All those posts are what you said off him in the past few weeks. That comes across to me as someone who does not rate him, undermines his ability and waits for an opportunity he performs bad to slate him but when he plays good will not acknowledge it. Just look at what you wrote. You are effectively writing off his ability to do what he does best. Stating Aguero wishes he has Silva back etc and I really would call him around world class. He has the stats to back it up tbh and is only getting better. You said you were his biggest supporter. Really does not look like it tbh with what you have been saying in his thread.
-
Yeah and Bayern were crippled today LOL, but battered them. And regarding the comparison in points, look at Wolfsburg's run after those games last season and look how many games they were winning. I can guarantee you they will struggle to repeat last season's feats this time around. If they do, hands up but I am sure they will not because KDB is a major loss.
-
I think he was being sarcastic because you always downplay his abilities.
-
That is like me saying they could not score a goal against a newly promoted team and the game ended goaless. They clearly will miss KDB over the season. Draxler is a quality player but is not in KDB league. And the difference is when KDB is in the team they give Bayern more of a match as proved by the game at the beginning of the season and the games last season where KDB had a major impact. You do realise that other than the goal they only had 1 shot on target against a world class team yes but a team who had only 1 natural CB in their team due to their injuries. KDB will continue to get better and prove you wrong. Time will tell. But in trying to prove Wolfsburg are better off without him is just plain ridiculous.
-
But then look at created chances over the season too. Aguero is the only clinical finisher there in that starting 11. KDB made 2 very good passes against Palace. And I watched all of the game. They were defensively solid but apart from the goal and the Neuer thing I mentioned they rarely did anything going forward. Draxler had a decent shot and yeah that was about it all game. Last season they put in a much better performance all game and were unlucky to lose that. The only thing Wolfsburg done really today was contain them after the goal then they offered nothing going forward. Only 2 shots on target. When KDB is in the team they over came Bayern on penalties this season in the cup and he made the all important assist for Bendtner. Game ended 1-1. And please remind me of his role in their 4-1, yes 4-1 win over Bayern last season. KDB the complete star. 2 goals and assist but you came up with a knee-jerk conclusion that because they were unbeaten before today they were going to excel without him. LOL. Don't make me laugh.
-
You like the knee-jerk reactions so here is my turn. Another quality game by KDB. Goal and assist and Sterling also had a goal and virtually 2 assists. So KDB right now has 2 goals and 1 assist and really should have had 2 assists if Navas could finish properly. Sterling is on 2 goals and 3 assists. I think KDB is going to surpass the tally you predicted by miles and remember you said in all comps. I look forward to it And as for saying Wolfsburg looking better without KDB got battered by Bayern. Apart from the quality goal they scored and an error made by Neuer they looked lost completely. As the season goes on I think you will find out how much they miss him. They will do well. Just not as well as they did last season without KDB. Let's see how KDB performs against Spurs...
