Wenger accepted after the match that Gabriel was rightly sent off and now they have completely won the appeal. No surprise the media are up Arsenal's ass. Had Barnes done that challenge on an Arsenal player last season and they reacted the way Matic done, can guarantee you they would of written it off completely.

I thought he had a good game. Not spectacular but looked very lively when he was on the ball. It was his great footwork that caused Cazorla to get 1 of the 2 yellow cards and he really looked lively when running with the ball. Early stages so far but so far I am impressed and think he will continue to add so much more to our team.
-
I think Oscar done well but people really overrate his performances. Maccabi are awful and any player playing that day would have excelled. Willian was excellent during the game, like everyone else. We would have battered them with or without Oscar. They were that awful. Arsenal, defensively he impressed me with 2 great slide tackles but was frustrating on an offensive POV. But he done well but we were mainly helped by the red card tbh. That is what influenced the game.
-
I remember posting that on here few months ago. Bloody hilarous that, I swear
-
He did but Reid had him under control. There is no two-ways about it. He was City's best player yesterday. Aguero had few chances but fluffed them.
-
Because he is clearly better than all of our AM bar Hazard. He also is younger than Hazard and will get better. He will not get the same stats but would he improve us? Of course he would. I also think he would have helped us in Europe too but last season against PSG for example even with an extra man the tactic was get the ball to Hazard. No one else took responsibility. Something KDB would have done. Let's just see the next few games and see how KDB performs.
-
You think Oscar is better than KDB. That is ludicrous imo. Clear we made a mistake but you want to deny it.
-
How do you know he will not? He is a improvement on the majority of their players and is one of the top AM in Europe and is only 24. Yes, we should regret it because he is better than all other players we sacrificed for. For instance yesterday, Oscar did not do much offensively but helped defensively. KDB gives you both of that. Just look at his goals and assists last season and how much we relied on Hazard at certain parts. He would have taken that barrier off Hazard. Even in the opening stages of the season, we have looked lacklusture in front of goala nd I certainly think we could have done with KDB. And regardless of what you say, early signs of his City form show he is going to be a player for them.
-
Rubbish. More than Mata, I can understand. KDB has a high work rate and offensively is better than Oscar in every angle. We would win more games with KDB for sure because he is a player on the verge of world class who can shoot, pass, cross and is consistent.
-
He had a good fucking game. Kompany was injured before kick off. Aguero was not at the races. How can that loss be blamed on KDB? Although there are many views you say which I disagree on at least there is reasoning to it. This is just pure rubbish because you dislike KDB. If everyone was up to scratch and they did not make defensive errors and Aguero was more sharp they could have easily won. Such a ludicrous point. That is the performance I wish Oscar could put in for us. KDB has defensive work and everything you want offensively from a no.10 Just accept he is a quality player, had a ood game and stop making ludicrous points like them losing was KDB fault.
-
You are such a hater and bullshitter sorry. Let's see over the season how Wolfbsurg cope without KDB. Oscar put in a good defensive performance but offensively not much. KDB is much better than Oscar. Stop coming up with stupid bullshit. KDB guided Wolfsburg to a trophy and 2nd spot last season. Let's see how they do at the end of the season. Not a few games to basically come up with the stupidest of conclusions that they are better off without KDB. Seriously, what a load of shit.
-
And where was KDB? The man you said was going to fail? LOL. I don't know why you feel to do this every game someone performs bad, LOL. Hazard had bad games before yesterday. Coutinho will have good games. Maye come to a certain point of the season then talk.

I am not condoning Costa's antics by any means and if it was a red it was perfectly understandable but if he gets a ban based on retrospective action I think that is unfair. There are worse offences off the ball that have gone missed and not faced any retrospective action. The man himself, Gabriel should have faced retrospective action for his elbow on Marko Arnautovic in their 2-0 win over Stoke last week but he never and that was worse than what Costa done. How can that go ignored by the FA but a little slap gets a ban? Not having it sorry.
-
Exactly. Aguero only has 1 goal. Kane no goals. Sanchez no goals. Rooney no goals (UCL qualifier don't count). Goals will come.
-
Fabregas controlled the game. Rarely lost the ball when in possession. Created 2 key moments. When he saw a pass that was on he made it bar one when Costa made the run. Oscar did not do much offensively bar the second half where he skipped past Bellerin and crossed it in to Costa. He done his job defensively but first half Oscar messed up a few of our attacks and made sloppy passes. That is why he was not MOTM for me. Defensively good but offensively wise not too good imo. Fabregas done what we want him to do every game. Dictate tempo and create the best chances which we done. We won the game, he created an assist and dictated play. Cazorla could not even receive the ball as much as he wanted to. Fabregas took the role of dictator today. We all had reservations understandably about him playing in the double pivot but he done his job excellently. I hope they mention his performance on MOTD. Or read what other analysts say about his performance. Maybe you just have way too higher expectations.
-
Seriously. I am dumbfounded with what you said about Cesc. I know you are not a fan of him already which probably influenced your reaction but normally you make valid points. Your conclusion about Fabregas is astonishing. Any viewer could see he dominated the game before and after the red. Even Arsenal fans would admit he dominated the game. Yet you said Oscar was MOTM when imo while he was not poor, he was not MOTM at all. I actually think you have watched a different game.
-
Did I see someone say Fabregas had a poor game? He bossed it from the start. Dictated play. Showed Ozil for the big game flop he is again. Fabregas even before the red card was dictating the tempo. Provided a great pass for Pedro which he unfortunately missed. Zouma and Cahill, good job. Especially Zouma. Was a boss today and for those who who wanted Hazard dropped just..... Really turned it on second half. Costa really needs to be careful though. I know he was a big part why we won but he gets too irritated for the most minor things. Wrestling with Koscielny and Gabriel's face is just not necessary. Needs to cut that out. Apart from that he had a nice old tussle with the Arsenal CB. His hold up play was great at times. But he needs to focs purely on football. Arsenal fans were brought back to reality. One win in a friendly cup and they thought they had won over us. No chance. Mourinho beats Wenger again and may I say it... Hazard 2-0 Sanchez. Ivanovic made a couple fouls but credit to him, he improved and Azpi was great. I hope our season really kicks on now and we cut out the inconsistent results/performances. On to the next!
-
Just seeing Zouma in DM scares me. This is a game we need to win more than them. Zouma is not a technical player and having him in DM makes no sense for me. I will be annoyed with a point unless it is in exceptional circumstances like the Swansea game. We need to lay a marker today.
-
If I see that line up tomorrow I think instead of taking my seat for the match, I will climb to the top of Stamford Bridge and make a jump and commit suicide.
-
Well he does tbh. It is just his defending. I know he has regressed from last season but he did score 6 goals and make 5 assists last season. Better than the majroity of most fullback's stats probably. There are better attacking fullbacks out there but to say he offers nothing going forward is not true. That being said we do need an upgrade in that department.

Alright. When Liverpool had SAS they were a big team. Yes? Finished above us and really should have gone on to win the title. Sterling got 9 goals despite only getting in the team late December. Liverpool finished above us then and with Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho, Gerrard they were a quality team, no two-ways about it. If that was true Sterling would have struggled but he got all those goals in a short space of time. So that is nonsense to say he will fail to exceed at a bigger club. You can argue similarly put Oscar in Liverpool's team with more average players and see how hard he finds it. Works both ways. You can only judge until you actually see it. The reason why Oscar struggled a lot last season was because of the lack of things he has that a usual no.10 has. No excellent dribbling, no bursting pace, no excellent vision. 3 things that I think Coutinho gives you or is better than Oscar at. Not saying Coutinho is faster but with the ball he is. But you are stating that Sterling is failing to succeed at a big club after one game. My point is that is a ridiculous assumption. The fact that you mentioned Hazard's achievements prove my point even more. He has been poor this season but the season as just started and there are loads of games to be played. Hazard will soon gets his stats back up and so will Sterling and then he will prove you wrong about this idea of him failing to hit standards at a bigger team. He has only played 5 games ffs. Sanchez, no goals, Hazard, no goals, Kane no goals, Aguero only has 1 goal, Costa 1 goal. That is why that is a ridiculous point to make as he just joined City. He plays better with better players and that is why he will exceed. Willian does do more but his finishing is so poor. Willian's work rate is as good as Oscar's and is never a passenger. He just needs to improve his play in the final third llike I said but he takes the pressure of Hazard a lot. He is a poor man's Hazard tbh. Not as good as but similar abilities. Ozil statistically may be good but I think he is overrated and turns up 1 games then invisible for next 5. For instance, poor against WHU this season. Good against Palace, poor against Liverpool then good against Stoke then poor against Zagreb. The same trend with him and disappears in nearly every big game. It was the same last season but yeah maybe Coutinho was not mr.consistent but he was the individual difference in many Liverpool games last season like Hazard was for us and it will be the same again this season. Same how I see Oscar last season. A player you know can do more but you just want him to show up more but he did not stand up enough last season when the team was poor. With time we will see whose right I guess.
-
Hazard plays for a big team. 0 goals so far. 1 assist. Sterling 1 goal, 1 assist. So is Hazard realising that? That is a stupid conclusion. Judge him around the Christmas period because I guarantee you I will be laughing at you. Sterling has been good anyway for City. Not standout but effective. Willian is a bigger culprit than Oscar even though he does much more than him in the game. Oscar gets the stats but Willian is more involved imo. A reason why Oscar got dropped last season and Willian stayed in. And yeah, we are better than Liverpool so I require no passengers in our team. Not saying Oscar is but a lot of games last season he was very average. He got subbed off twice last season around H/T. I don't see why people need to defend Oscar when he was very poor at moments last season. Fact. Well you intrepreted it how you wanted to without being resonable. I knew it was tactical. But my point is the fact that he voted Coutinho shows he had a very good season. He could vote him without being called a cheat because he knows many would agree he had a quality season overall. Why not vote Ozil? Henderson? Sterling? You know, because if he did people would of criticized him hugely. Coutinho had a good season and although he was not on Hazard or Sanchez level he was very good. He votes Ozil for example and there is no logic towards it. But he thought of a player who performed well but would not win it. Is it that hard to understand? But according to you he is a below-average player who was poor last season.
-
Before I could understand as I never rated Coutinho that highly. I always use to think he was inconsistent and a player who does not turn up in big games but then slowly he started improving. Last season he was very impressive. But with the old 2 yeah I could understand as he was not a star player then. Now I think he is. But once again he is in a poor team tbh but I still think he is their key to getting top 4. And I disagree with Oscar that Coutinho will drop out the squad unless he performs really bad for Liverpool.
-
I said he might. My point is Bayern have a lot of fast wingers who suit Pep's system better. If he managed Brazil I am not sure Oscar would be in his team. Do you think he would? I am not saying Coutinho would be guaranteed but he could be more suited. That is why I never mentioned Coutinho with Bayern but instead if Pep was managing Brazil. Coutinho like Gotze would not be a regular in that team. And Gotze is way too inconsistent for Bayern and has not lived up to the same hype he had at Dortmund. So you are judging Sterling on a few games played? Does that make Mahrez better than Hazard then who has not scored 1 goal? Don't judge anything by the early stages of the season. The goals will come for Sterling. Remember he is only 20 and has got into double figures for the last couple seasons. I think he will do the same again this season and so far Sterling has fitted in well and will continue to start. I never watched Ganso live, yes but regardless even when he was good he was playing in Brazil. Coutinho has a decent amount of pace and like I said has been playing in a top league. That is a false assumption and quite ridiculous to suggest he will follow the same route as Ganso. Do you really believe that? And like I said earlier a manager picking a player means nothing for me. I think he should be in. Payet has been quality this season and did not even get in the last squad yet the likes of Sissoko got in when he has been poor this season. And Liverpool not winning with Coutinho says more about the rest of the team not him. Look how clueless they looked without him at Old Trafford. Did they miss him? Of course they did. Now they have him back against Norwich, I can pretty much predict he will be the key difference once again.
-
Why do you think that when clearly they needed an upgrade in the AM positions. Silva was the only real quality before Sterling and KDB arrived. Anyway I think City are more than fine in the CM positions. Toure looks back to his best. Fernandinho is good but not world class then they got good back ups in Delph and Fernando. They did not need to recruit in that department unless Toure left.
