Well based on this season, not that well, especially against teams that press him. He is not as good as holding on to the ball as Verratti is and seems to be bullied of it more easily. It is because Verratti is a better defender as well and they have much better balance. In a 4-3-3 I think he would be quality. I don't mind him in the pivot for Saturday for instance because all they are going to do is sit back I assume but games where teams take it to us, with constant pressing he is a little more exposed.

This. People who aren't a fan of Matic would argue that it is ludicrous to say he is a top DM or compare him to Busquets for example. Any DM in our team with Fabregas being exposed how he is would struggle. Matic is not our main problem. If we had Verratti or Modric in the double pivot, Matic would look a lot better but Fabregas is not suited to playing in the double pivot. He is suited to a 4-3-3. I see Fabregas as more of a liability than Matic in our team.

Luiz made too much mistakes for us at CB but I always liked his style. But his style of play was more suited to Barca and I am sure they would have got him was it not for PSG coming in with that huge bid. I am a big fan of Luiz because I like ball playing defenders but seriously he made loads of errors at CB for us. He was just far too clumsy at times. For instance when we beat Cardiff 4-1, the error he made for their goal were not just one-off occasions. He had quite a few moments like that. Even before Moruinho came here, many people had ridiculed Luiz at CB. I think it was slightly OTT but like I was saying it is not as if he had not made a lot of mistakes, he had. When we actually played his team PSG, two seasons ago it was his 2 errors in the game that made us lose 3-1. Then there was his error for Brazil against Peru. A costly error and again where the clumsy part of his game comes into question. I know it was Barca but his style of play played into their hands last season and he got torn apart. He was so naive in his defending and cost them. His rash way of pressing and intercepting got picked off by Barca easy. Just look at Suarez goal. Too many mistakes he had made. Luiz is one of them players who when he is at it can look the best defender around. His performance against Bayern for instance was excellent but when he is bad he is bad and sometimes you could not help but think despite his qualities he would do something stupid. We got a huge bid for a player who while has a lot of qualities, also is very error prone and we had Terry and Cahill who at the time were a perfect partnership. Maybe we should have bought another top CB to replace him which we did not. Let's not also make it look like it is only a Chelsea way of thinking to get rid of Luiz and something only we would do. You do realise a lot of people outside Chelsea and even Brazilian fans mock him for being a CB and I have seen so many criticisms of him. Saying that I saw some Brazilians claiming "they actually had a defence" now that he was out against Chile but Marquinhos was poor as his replacement too apparently. Many fans around the world were shocked when he was included in the FIFApro team of the year thing as well but I am with you. I would have him in my team because I think while he is clumsy his positive outweigh his negatives and he has pretty much everything when he is at the top of his game but with the fee we were offered it was some ways a no-brainer. But right now would I have him, of course. Always been a big fan.

Well it did not dawn on me as I never have made it vocal that I want Mourinho out. The first time I called for it was after the Saints game. Going back to Mourinho as a whole anyway, I still think it was shameful what he done with Matic. Matic comes across to me as a strong character but that is a shitty way to treat someone. The thing that concerns me is that I think that decision was more personal rather than for football reasons. Almost like he wanted to humiliate him.

Again, this is where he lets us down. He is talking about it is important to stick together yet he makes daft comments which means he probably will end up being banned from the touchline and being separated from the team. The worse thing is that Falcao clearly dived while Southampton should of had 2 clear penalties so why is he even complaining?

After the Southampton match I said for the first time that I think it is time for him to go and that was not knee-jerk. It was based on a lot of things. Remy and Falcao are only getting starts because Costa has been suspended. When Costa returns against Villa it is going to be back to warming the bench for Remy and Falcao. There starts will only come in cup games if they are lucky. Aboubakar would be silly to come here unless he was looking for a bigger paycheck.

We may be a bigger club than Porto and be in a stronger league but Aboubakar is not going to come here to stay on the bench every game. He will see what has happened with Lukaku and Remy and know unless Costa is injured he will not get in the team. Also Porto would only sell for an astronomical fee so would be no point to spend on a back up.

Me thinking we might be better of a change is not just because of our current position in the league, it is an accumulation of things. Then resting on his laurels again is the fact that he still does these outdated tactics with the idea of having a right footed player at LB and a CB at RB. Actually it is not even outdated, it is unheard of to do for seasons and that is what he seems to have plan on doing. Did he really think this is the way to go forward when teams clock on that we fail to get natural width out of the FB. This is a big problem. Then when where else do we start. United clearly made a mistake in getting him and obviously was never going to turn it into a permanent deal. Yet, us the champions had to take him on. God knows why! Losing the game and he takes of Azpi and with Baba on the bench, he brings on Kenedy to play there. He done well but what does this say to Baba. If he was fit enough to be on the bench why would he not put him on? He just seems to make rash decisions like taking off Matic for RLC in that game. RLC done well but it is like he wants to scapegoat Matic. That was proven by him firstly being dropped for Porto then being on the bench against Southampton, coming on then coming off again. How comes Fabregas has not has this treatment? He needs to stop his ego-tastic ways and be fair. Matic has been bad but what about Fabregas, Ivanovic? He makes the same changes every game when we are losing and it does not work. Hello, try something else. It is ridiculous that Ivanovic gets torn aparrt every game yet starts him. We don't even have an identity right now. Defence to attack. I just struggle to see where we are going to improve because right now the team is in total disarray and Mourinho takes huge blame.

Some posters said you were ludicrous to say he had a better all round game than Costa. Tbh, now I would have to agree. Stronger, probably a bit faster, his hold up play has improved significantly and I also think on the ball Lukaku is coming better on this aspect too. Lukaku is improving in the air and is probably better in that aspect too. Good to see him doing well. That must be 7 in total for the season.

Good to hear. He struggled big time in their first game of the season against Dortmund and lost his place. Must of been a big confidence knock for him but has recovered well and earned his place back in the team. Gladbach have won their last 3 on the trot which Christensen has been a part of including keeping a clean sheet yesterday against one of the best attacks in the Bundesliga in Wolfsburg. People did. Even though we won the title, when it was Hazard who was mainly stepping up more than other players and Oscar went back to hiding again, many people were making it clear that KDB should be here. Not so much Mata, but KDB especially as he was always scoring or assisting if not both every week in the Bundesliga. Mata despite not being excellent last season still got into double figures with goals and that is considering one stage he struggled to get in the team. Mata was a fans favourite and one of our best players and while we got a big fee for him, his replacement is not as good and has not lived up to the hype Mourinho gave him which is more frustrating.

To think of all the quality players we had who have excelled at other teams. KDB, Mata, Bertrand, Luis. Aah just so frustrating that Mourinho sold them. No other manager would have that mindset. He was so sure to declare Oscar as his no.10 and now Mourinho seems to have lost a lot of trust in him. Mata was such a fans favourite as well. KDB was considered surplus to requirements because he played bad on 2 games. All this goes on Jose. Not just the results and position we are in now that pisses me off about Jose. He has fucked our team over and done exactly what Wenger was known for. Strengthening our rivals. We had great players in our hands but let them go. Actually have lost patience with him.
