Whoever we buy, PLEASE GOD, IT BETTER WORK. I dont want another 30/40/50mio flop!

We are nearing that level, but still we are far from it in many areas. First it was just Torres and Mikel, now its Ramires, Willian and Oscar who are frustrating to watch in 2014. We seriously lack consistency and Willian at age 25 (nearing prime) should take give more to the team in attacking third. Oscar is going through some kind of bad form (possibly due to concentration on WC), but Rambo is just underperforming ever since Matic arrival. He offered much more (even goals here and there) but recently he is playing realy bad. Our passing is superbly shit too, considering we have all those good expensive players, our game should be more connected. Its more than just a striker. LB and CM too at least. And our bench still doesnt do it for me. On paper, we have good one yes. But soon as we dont have 1st eleven players, Schurrle, Salah, Mikel dont do it here realy. Not for the money paid. Schurrle apart from few games, simply disapears in games and Mikel offers nothing when we are losing. Competion and alternatives are something that bench usualy gives. Our bench gives little of that. Looking at Rm bench (Isco/Di Maria, Khedira, Ilara,...) or Bayern (Kroos/Schweini/Thiago/Martinez, Shaqiri, Muller...) gives completely different options. They give competition to first team, they offer improvement, they give goals when brought on. We dont need big names or spend big money on bench players, but we need the right players there. Schurrle, Willian, Salah cost us over 60mio and right now I dont see where did that money go. For that money you get Reus and Salah for example. We buy buy buy and we dont know what for. We bough Moses and loaned him out, bought Salah and...for what? Moses could do the job Salah is doing right now. We sign way too many expensive decent players (Willian, Schurrle) instead of spending some more on one and get what you pay for. Willian and Schurrle didnt play bad realy, but you would expect more for fucking 50mio that was price they cost us. Its one thing when older player underperforms ala Cole or Lampard who is going to be replaced sooner than later. But its another thing when very expensive player who was just bought performs bad like Willian is concerning. Im not saying we should spend crazy in summer and replace half the team, but we should buy quality and not quantity. Real players and not some expensive wannabes. Game vs AV just proves it, first team plays bad and there is no one on the bench to make even smallest improvement or change.

And I fear this wont drasticaly improve with only new striker Im afraid. Willian and Oscar will have to take massive boost next season in order to remain starters under Mou. On other hand, I blame Mou a bit for his lack of attacking tactics. Its like he doesnt know we actualy have very good players in attack and he thinks we can only win with strong defence. However, if he gave our attackers more freedom, we would certainly win at least one game vs AV, WBA or WHU. Mou has limited our attackers this year (bar Hazard) and this is seen in games vs smaller teams. Willian was never scoring goals in previous clubs, but he created many chances, Oscar had to work his socks off for first half of season and possibly saw that he will get destroyed before WC and simply decided to work less. Partly its down to players form, lack of competition and WC comming, but also due to Mou tactics. He never allows his players to play free and this has cost us several times this season.
-
People not wanting him here because he is ''ugly'' and will not look good in our shirt are ridiculous. He scores and his strength/aggresivness will only help him in PL. I only fear he will get stupid yellow/red cards here and there...
-
Yeah I hope that WC is problem about his form, because he played well for Brasil and I dont think it was coincidence. He doesnt play ''bad'' realy, but for a #10, he realy plays like shit. Yes he is different kind of playmaker, but one thing is to be allround modern #10 and Oscar is not that atm. He lacks vision, makes terrible passes, doesnt give shit, tries all kind of unsucessul things and creates zero goalscoring chances in recent games.
-
We had Rambo and Lamps/Mikel for the pivot last two years. Only Rambo was on good level and we needed to buy another CM. As soon as we buy Matic, Ramires becomes bad. Whats next? We sign new CM and Matic starts playing like shit or what? Ramires, Willian, Oscar need to put shit together. Simple as that. Mourinho is underestimating their skill, gives them too much defensive work or sth, we are toothless in attack ever since City PL game, bar Hazard.
-
For that price and considering he is in his prime age (25), I would expect more from him. He puts good effort and I never expected many goals from him as he isnt goalscoring player, but I expected flair, good passing, assists and passes that lead to goals. So far, he did well in tracking, tackling, but it feels like we play without him in final third. Either he loses possesion or makes silly pass, dribble, cross. Dunno, but he will have to improve.
-
What the actual fuck...we didnt deserve to win, ref was cunt, but in the end of the day we should play better.
-
wtffffff

Btw Oscar is shit now (attack wise) for several months and he deserves to get benched. Yet he still plays nearly every game. If we had decent bench option, that guy would take at least certain improvement to the team. Not that he would replace Oscar permamently, but at least offer consistancy and good perfomances when Oscar would be benched for certain amount of games. Schurrle or Salah could be that guy. But none of the two does the job realy and Oscar still plays nearly every game. When Matic doesnt play, we are few levels lower than with him. Mikel is good? yeah, he offers different option but he is still average at best.
-
Maybe I wasnt clear enough...I only dislike Torres, Mikel and partly Salah who are ''weak'' part of the bench. I have no complain about Luiz or Cole or even Schurrle (but for odd 20mio someone would expect more).
-
Oscar in this form should be nowhere near first 11. Shocking game after shocking game. Wtf is going on with this guy? His vision, creativity and passing are simply on level of Ramires.
-
Happy with him so far, but his 1:0 goal protecting, lack of squad rotation and to some extent unnecessary signings (Schurrle, Salah) are areas he has to improve next season imo. No one expected us to be on top of PL now, but then again odds at start of season were on our side only behind Mancity.
-
Mou doesnt give f about shirt numbers, but I think from this team either Hazard or Oscar would get it most likely. Hazard is our main player, he likes #10 much, but he grown on me with his #17, he should keep it, but obviously #10 is ''fancier''. Oscar as our playmaker fits #10 aswell, but he already has 11, a very nice number (and he has same in NT). But its not just #10, if Torres, Lamps, Cole, Luiz leave 9, 8, 3 and 4 will be released. Along with already free #5. And #6 if Romeu stays in Valencia. Shirt number wankfest everyone.

The more games we play, the more it gets clear that our bench simply isnt on the quality level that should be. Im not talking about quantity; we have plenty of players (and had even more, but sold them), but quality. Our bench consists of players like Mikel, Torres, Ba, Lampard/Ramires, Luiz, Cole, Kalas, Schurrle, Salah, MVG*. At first look, we actualy have realy nice, lenghty bench that should do the job which is replacing starting eleven in case of injury, tiredness or tactical change. However, the more you look in games, the more its visible that our bench is simply terrible. Not just that we will have to add couple of additions in starting eleven, such as new striker, LB and potentialy CM, but if we will look to win domestic and international titles in next seasons, our bench will have to get upgrade. A big one. The major mistake was made when we bought the likes of Schurrle or Salah who will not improve on bench, and that means big inconsistency in their game when given chance to play. In theory, Salah and Schurrle are fine backups, but my opinion is that neither of the two (Salah specificaly) isnt going to do the job in case Hazard, Oscar or Willian injures for larger period of time. Looking at Bayern, Real,...they have much more quality on their bench. Sure, with time, we will reorganize this team properly, but I feel signing the likes of Salah will cause more problems than solutions. At first Schurrle cost 20mio, and secondly Salah to me looks like another Moses/Marin, I might be wrong though. And what is the point of buying Salah when he only played 3 games (less than 60min combined) since his arrival? Dont say he has to adjust, he was brought to give rest for Hazard and Willian this season, he has failed to make any kind of impact in this time. Objectively, he has shown lots of pace, but thats it. Summer will be busy one I think, because with only adding striker (with option that 2-3 will leave), adding LB (with Cole, Luiz, potentialy leaving), will solve our 1st team problems, but not rotation issues. Partly, the blame goes on Mou for not rotating earlier in the season, but on the other hand Mikel, Torres/Ba, simply arent replacements you want in bigger or smaller games. Bench players should add something extra, freshness, goals, control,...while our bench offers that once or twice in whole year (like Schurrle who scored 3 goals, but then had another average). Bench will never be (and should never be) on level of first team. Thats why Mata, KDB left. But players like Mikel or Torres shouldnt do anything there either. They offer nothing realy and more importantly they have NO ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. Not individualy, not with team. So, besides going after main first team players, we should target decent, inform, not too expensive, allround, back up ''utility'' players ala Candreva, Griezmann, Cuadrado, Gueye, Sissoko, Aurier, etc. Also, we should try to bring someone from academy. Because there will be games in next seasons where having proper backup for Hazard, Matic etc will be pivotal.
-
Drogba was just amazing...it sucks that we dont have a proper striker nowdays, cant wait the day we sign one and it finaly works well.
-
If we get Vidal/Pogba type of player next to Matic, then Hazard, Oscar and Willian could concentrate more on offensive play. If we get someone ala Gundogan/Kroos/Koke/Pjanic then we will have creativity from midfield, but our attackers will still have to work hard in defense. Its up to Mou do decide what he prefers more.
-
Clear evidence that we dont need world class striker, but someone who will link up well with Hazard and score when he will get chance. World class striker ala Cavani will want to be main key of the team and Hazard wont be as effective as he could be. Not to mention someone like Balotelli who wont even see other players around him and shoot every damn time.
-
Lulic linked with us...
-
It would be blow to Atletico if they lost Courtois in quarterfinals vs us. But in the end of the day we should beat Atletico with or without Thibaut. And he will get even more exp.
-
If we wanted 'nice personas' we would keep Mata. Fact is that we want top players and Costa is best option in summer. He isnt ideal but dont hope we will sign Cavani, it wont happen. Simple as that. Balo is still kid and Mou of all people knows it best. He wont take such unbalanced striker to lead our line next year when we will attack PL and CL title. Rvp might be secret option, depending on his decision to leave. If he will want to leave, I think Chelsea is best option for him in england, besides he is cunt enough to join us with no fuss. Only problem would be united but since we sold them Mata, there would be no surprise if they give us Rvp. Benzema wont leave Real, he is finaly getting top form and Zidane connection is high between the two. Falcao after lenghty injury would be stupid buy. Suarez, just like Cavani is simply too expensive aswell. Like him or not, Costa is best choice and his price is decent. 30mio is not that much at all. But people judgging him based on appearance and behaviour are funny. Just because he is cunt doesnt mean he isnt top striker. Suarez is massive cunt, Rvp is cunt, Rooney is cunt, Ibra is cunt,...so what. Yes its not best for club picture and I would like to have Cavani because he has nicer personality, but all that will be forgotten when Costa starts scoring goals. And that is the main job for striker. Score goals. In the end of the day it will be the goals deciding, not nice personality. Dont forget that even Cavani could flop here and price of 70mio would be fucking disaster then.
-
Strootman would also be good choice, amazing player but shame he got injured and wont play for next 6 months...
-
He is probably best striker of past 10 years when looking consistancy. World class finisher and scores awesome goals wherever he plays, including CL. Arguably best player along Ronaldo and Messi of past few years.
-
Kroos is top player but not the type we need. First, he is more CAM than CM. He lacks pace for PL. His defending is average, strength wont help him. Modric, Alonso, Gundogan for example are much better at defending. He doesnt track back enough, doesnt work hard enough for Mou system. If there are other options ala Vidal or fit Gundogan, get them. If they wont be available, Kroos will still be good addition.
-
Pogba is angry with Conte tactics. He wants free role but at Juve he has to play very defensive. Thats why he wont join us. He is kind of player who wants to play attacking football ala Barca or Arsenal etc. He knows that Mou would limit his game even further here and thats why he wont come, especialy with Real, potentialy Barca and Psg knocking on his door. And he will probably cost 60mio or more. Vidal is key part of Juve and a loyal player. Unless we offer 50mio, he wont go. Realistic target remains Gundogan, but his injury history is terrible.
