For his age, he is fucking unbelievable. Great potential and would make great fit here. But we might consider buying him in like 4-6 years...if we get him before, he will never make it here

Reasons for Torres still staying at Chelsea
BlueLyon replied to BlueLyon's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Guys I didnt say we should keep him Lol I want this fucker get out as soon as possible, but board might think otherwise, he is popular player out there... -
Its pretty clear that Torres is one if not most popular Chelsea player in the world. He is shit, but fact is, he sells most kits and is extremely supported by football fans (for who knows what reasons). Is it possible that Chelsea is keeping him because kits are selling and he is presenting ''positive'' and popular picture of/in the club? To be honest, he is obviously the most marketable player we have atm, Hazard shortly behind. Every team needs poster boy, the player everyone knows and to our unfortune its Torres. I heard he actualy wont be sold due to the fact that he is still extremely popular in football world... Any thoughts on this?

There are numbers for clubs with most kits sold in 2013: 1.) Real Madrid, Man United - 1,4mio 3.) Barcelona - 1,1mio 4.) Chelsea - 910k 5.) Bayern - 880k 6.) Lpool - 810k 7.) Arsenal - 800k 8.) Juventus - 480k 9.) Inter - 425k 10.) Milan - 350k We did pretty well I guess

According to Whoscored, he is second highest rated player of PL, only behind Suarez. I dont like to go in such ratings too much, but this is still quite awesome.
-
Thats the point. It doesnt matter who he play with; HE has to do it on his own. Like scoring the winner vs palace or Villa in 87min or sth. Bale did it last year, Spurs (as seen this year) are shit and yet he was saving their asses every week. We dont realy talk about Hazard as talent, but as best club player of Suarez, Rvp, Aguero quality. He obviously isnt as experienced or will not score 30 goals per season, but he is the kind of player who has to step up when others dont. Since hattrick he only scored 3 penalties. Jose said Hazard is up there with best (its not exactly like that due to his age) and should put crucial goal more often.

he has right atitude for 20 y.o, but maybe we need a leader in striker.
-
Right now we are second, City with two games in hand. We depend on Lpool and City if we will be better than 3rd.
-
That game vs Napoli for me was better than final later...we might not lift the cup after Napoli win, but there was amazing feel at SB, everyone was singing, everyone went crazy, we gave our hearts out in that game. If something similar happens tomorrow, I will enjoy, no matter the ending result. We will probably win anyway, maybe we will even go through
-
As best player, he needs to step up when we play shit and save the day. He didnt do it vs Palace, Villa or any other game realy. This is separating him from world class and talented player.
-
Jose likes to talk...it turns attention to him and not the squad. But sometimes he realy makes Chelsea look stupid. As for now, he has to show his real achievements. He spent over 80mio and we are still 3rd. Do the talking on the pitch.

Funny, but very unprofessional though. If Luiz realy wanted to shoot, he should, he needs to practice long shots

Mou realy fucked up with him I think. When Mou came, he had shit strike force and would be perfect time to bring Lukaku into starting eleven. After all, we have transition period, our objective was top 3. Lukaku could do it. We still had Etoo and Torres to rotate. Ba should be sold back in summer. Should Mou used Lukaku as our starter this season, we would head into next with striker who already adapted (Lukaku) and would compete for higher places. Now, Lukaku will have to adapt (start from level zero) should he be our starter next season, meaning there is very little chance of reaching better than top 3 with Lukaku next season. Mou will buy Costa/xxx in summer and sell Lukaku, IMO. He rather trusted Torres over Lukaku in a fucking transition year, perfect time to make changes. It says all, doesnt it?
-
City again linked with Mangala, even Suarez (lol), while United looks closely for Gundogan and Reus... Despite I want us to work more with youth like Lukaku, I will be pissed if City/United/Lpool improve their teams with world class players, while we dont. We should stay as much competitive, we already have plenty of young players like Azpi, Zouma, Oscar, Hazard, Lukaku,...we need to buy some proven quality, its what will make us more consistent. We need to go after quality, not quantity. Generaly I dont believe we can integrate 20 y.o. (maybe only Lukaku) in starting eleven and give him week in week out chances, while staying in touch with PL or CL trophy next year. We could do that in summer with Lukaku (when we had shit strikers), or Sturridge few years ago, but our board prefers older players. Im sure we wouldnt finish lower than 3rd with Lukaku this season, the great bonus would be that we would have Lukaku with year of playing for us ahead of next season. Mou didnt trust him, despite being transition period (time to replace old with new) and now he will face it. Should we make Lukaku starter this year, he could actualy become realy good next season.
-
Barkley is quite different though, he is most importantly english and offers different qualities; strenght and possibility of playing deeper. We have plenty of AM players, but I think Oscar should have some competition. Lallana would be good aswell. Im 100% against Barkley joining us in summer though, IF we buy him, he should go straight back on loan to Everton for at least 2 years. Another thing is that Mou needs to finalise exactly what formation will we play in next years, who will also come in summer, who will go. If we buy top CM, then Barkley seriously wont have chance of getting into first 11 for next 5 years, unless he realy improves. Also what will happen with Ginkel, Piazon, T.Hazard, Romeu,... Having Matic, Ramires, Barkley and another CM/DM ala Gundogan/Vidal in few years would be amazing. But at the moment, Barkley is no where the level of being our starter in CM position.

Ba was regular scorer for Nufc but failed miserably here. Its one thing to score for Everton or Newcastle, another to score for Chelsea. We have build up play completely against the comfort for striker (maybe with new Lb who can cross and creative long passing CM things will change). I dont think Lukaku will fail here, but it will be damn harder for him to score for us. He is young and its great thing, if we were Lpool who gives every ball to striker, Lukaku would score for fun sooner or later. But we are Chelsea who needs very specific striker, the one who works for the team (we aint team that works for striker). I seriously think we should sell him to Everton with buy back clause and get him back in few years. Should we buy Costa (or any top striker), Lukaku will be benched mostly for next 4/5 years. Its great for us to have such quality on bench, but its useless for him, he needs to play week in week out. He needs to improve and he can only do it with play time, which he wont get. The ultimate question; Lukaku OR top level striker (bought in summer). Both wont be here, I guess. Lets hope he makes great preseason, world cup and does the job as our first striker next season(s).
-
Psg will get him IMO, along Griezmann.
-
Lukaku will now be main striker for Belgium. He will show if he is ready or not. Im sure Jose wont take bad mentality and inexperience for our striker. He sure wants to have deadly striker next season. Besides I think its important to have some experience in the side, our whole attack is very young and inconsistent. But let Jose decide whats best... If Lukaku isnt ready to wait for his chance at Chelsea, Im sure he wont stick for much longer. Jose wants his players to show all their trust in him and club. Lukaku's role next season has to be second striker. Hell, Bayern will keep Lewa and Mando probably, if Lukaku thinks he is bigger than the club, he can leave. I want our players to have some patience. After all Lukaku isnt some world class striker in his prime to demand starting role here. He is 20yo with two good seasons behind him and if he is actualy that good, he will push through and take first spot here eventualy. If he doesnt want to fight for the spot, he can leave.
-
Full attack...with no Matic, no Ramires, this could mean Luiz and Lamps in pivot. However, Lamps wont handle running for whole match and I expect Oscar to get in CM spot at some point if we will still need to score. The only other player capable of playing in pivot would be Mikel and there is no chance we could break their defense with Luiz and Mikel in pivot... Iva-Cahill-Terry-Azpi Luiz-Lamps Schurrle-Willian-Hazard Etoo (mentality: attack from first minute)
-
Aguero to Chelsea? I believe straight exchange for Torres will do it
-
Sometimes you need to sit on bench and wait for your chances. Same with Lukaku. He isnt world class striker, not mentaly or technicaly ready to lead team with expectations by Mou (winning PL and CL next year). He MUST get a chance, but buying Costa and having Lukaku on bench is useless for Lukaku. He wants to play regulary, he will get maybe 15 games if we do get Costa. Buying Rooney was vital from that aspect last summer. He would be able to play next to Lukaku and is old enough to make way for Lukaku eventualy. Costa is top striker and just 25 and if we pay 40mio for him and things work out, he will be our starter for next 5 years at least. No point of having Lukaku then. If we get Costa, Lukaku will leave. Unless we play two striker formation, but that wont happen anyway. Either we do: 1.) Lukaku main striker next year 2.) buy experienced, top striker, aged 29+ who will play only for two years max and then give place to Lukaku 3.) buy top striker ala Costa who is 25 and will play here for next 5 years and we sell Lukaku.

Gerrard scored 13 goals this season, 10 from penalties. Enough said. Btw do you know Lpool must win vs City? After that city will fall in small crysis, causing another draw. Then we beat the fuck out of Lpool and win the PL. Easier said than done though, but not impossible.
-
Fuck off PL, FA, refs, Lpool
