I have strange feeling it would be better to keep Mata till end of season, he could add something different vs Palace, WB, WHU, Villa,...if Mou would ever trust and believe in him in first place. I think we lost title in games vs small teams, games where Mata was superb last season. With him, we might concede more goals, but also win those games in the end... Sometimes, Mou completely cuts certain players off, which isnt necessary a best thing for the team on long term.
-
What about Ribery? He was even better last yeari in counter attack formation, but he is still world class IMO.
-
Yup, only one thing to add; there is Coutinho who is doing pretty well this season IMO.
-
hah, I didnt mean we should get those or even think we have any realistic chance of getting them, but just point out what type of players Mou would idealy want in his team. With no real #10, but Gundogan type player instead... And Eligius, read this again, if you missed it: ''But for the best of development, keep it as it is, to fit Mou style, you dont only need inteligence, but also energy/stamina that comes in few seasons. Oscar will come good, he showed it already, give him time.'' No need for sarcasm...
-
I think Mou idealy would have 4:3:3 --RB---CB---CB---LB-- Vidal-Matic-Gundogan --Willian-ST-Hazard-- But for the best of development, keep it as it is, to fit Mou style, you dont only need inteligence, but also energy/stamina that comes in few seasons. Oscar will come good, he showed it already, give him time.

Thats just wrong. He is idealy best possible #10 that Mourinho could have, but needs to fullfill his potential. I dont think he is only one who plays ''average'', the whole attack is average. Thats certainly something to do with Mourinho, because last year, our attack was more fluid. It has stagnated since Mou arrival. Defence got better, but attack, not so sure. I dont think its on Oscar to be guilty for his bad form, but also on Mourinho for 1.) not rotating him more 2.) giving him extremely big defensive duties. I still think Oscar will improve, but definately even next year he wont be consistant. He will reach that level at age 25 or sth when he spends few full seasons in PL and completely understands his role. You have to undertand that first few months, Mou was just watching our players play and Oscar was brilliant. Then Mou (when he finaly knew his players better) started giving team very specific orders on how to play and Oscar's role got very limited. I think Oscar, to some extent even Hazard and Willian will never realy fullfil their potential here as they might in RM, Barca, Bayern (who are all very offensive teams), but they still can become best as a team and world class individuals, should Mou give them at least a bit of freedom. As they say, once you are scoring goals for fun, defence isnt as important anymore. I remember few years ago, Bayern was in similar position, some big talents, but missing players on several areas, trying to play counter attacking football etc. Ribery needed to completely adapt to his new defensive duties and people were already moving him to big clubs in spain, england,,,,because they thought he wont realy fulfill his role in Bayern. Look what happened, few years of patience, some new players in the team and Ribery is world class winger. Oscar is different role obviously, but the point is same. Give him few years and he will definately become what everyone wants him to be; world class. As there is a lot of talk about Mou selling Oscar/Hazard to fund striker, I think its just BS, but I realy hope we wont sell most important players; we already need 3 new starters to buy in 1st eleven, selling more players will completely reshape our 11 and we wont win nothing next year. Team needs to play together for some time, you forget that when Mou came to Chelsea (or inter) for first time, he had players in their peak, now he got half of team with bunch of young apples and oranges, required of being put in basket. When he makes complete team, when players will play together for some time, then judge whole project. There is a great song that says what we need to do, wait:
-
Even if we get 150m, we should never ever sell him, at least not for several years. Best clubs in the world dont sell their best players. Simple as that.
-
Messi never scored against Cech vs Chelsea, Im sure Courtois will continue legacy well.
-
Who would you sign to lead the line at Chelsea?
BlueLyon replied to Melanicus's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Why the fuck is Mou such a pussy about Torres? He had balls to cut Casillas and Mata (who werent even playing that bad) but he sticks with Torres for what? Put your authority up and send the fucker to spain! -
Home looks nice, will look even better in matches I think. Red gk kit on itself is good, but I think should be different colour because of the contrast between red and blue though...
-
Mou y u no send this Potatorres to the reserves?!?
-
Dont forget Bale was left winger too, but he converted himself in RW pretty well. Think Reus is intelligent and skillful enough to turn into RW. Not to forget, he already was playing RW several times and constantly changes wings in bvb. If not Reus then Vela, Di Maria, Lucas,... Imo Vela despite Arsenal history would be realy good bet, he can score, assist, dribble, and looks he got mature in spain. What Mou should look besides striker, cm and lb is AM who can score goals.
-
Not happy with the rumours for Mandzukic or Lavezzi...sure we can do better...
-
Those clowns misdated the april fools it seems...
-
I firmly believe Hazard would be more consistent in better team.
-
Lukaku waits his team to do the work and he then scores goal. This wont work here. Mou expects from out striker to create, track back and be able to hold up the ball. Apart from being able to score goals, Lukaku is miles away from being proper striker we need. But would be very good 2nd option. If you take goals away, Lukaku is average. We need much more than just goals from striker. Lukaku is poacher, we need allround striker. Good thing, Lukaku is just 20 and his price wont drop in next few years if he keeps developing. If not keep him here, just loan him for two more seasons and then sell him if things wont go in right way.
-
To play in Rm/barca, they would have to splash 100m for him. The pricetag itself would demand him to play. He has the skill to play ahead of Bale/Dimaria/Neymar IMO. He is much more dynamic than those three and he can not only play for himself, but also for team. In Chelsea, he has limited role, but in Real or Barca, he would have free role. Sure he would be behind Messi or Ronaldo, but would be efficient at least as Bale/Neymar. Stats are not everything. Eden is mould of Ribery and someone like that would fit Real/Barca and Messi/Ronaldo more than 'wannabestar' Neymar or Bale. I wont even go to the dribbling ability between Hazard (natural talent) and Bale who is only pace and power. Neymar never suited barca in the first place, not with Messi in team atleast.
-
Offense wise, he was much much better last year. Together with Hazard and Mata, he was more dynamic, they passed between each other more and played as a team. Mourinho realy fucked up our attacking trio IMO, it was much nicer to watch it last year. The video shows it clearly:
-
Splash 100mio on Suarez, we wont even need new Lb or Cm then
-
What im trying to point out is that Oscar vs spain (or italy, if you think its easy to score vs spain) will make superb assist to Neymar, while he will fail even the simpliest pass vs Crystal...same goes for Luiz who looks 10 years more mature in NT than here. And he played in big games vs spain etc where pressure is certainly higher than vs palace. The point is they dont even try here and dont have ability here. Besides Oscar should love Mou as he fancied him ahead Mata, he had great start, but in 2014 Oscar looks like he just came to europe... As you say if Oscar is that reliant on his team mates, well then...
-
I fear this team lacks character that the one two years ago had. We have more talent, but you will never ever get same from Willian, Oscar or Hazard this season as we got from Lamps, Drogba, Cole,...2 years ago...this team lack experience, and more importantly Chelsea isnt realy club they played for long time to have some realy special connection. Lamps ran socks off two years ago for 120 mins, he wouldnt last even 90 next week. It will be special night, chances are, but I feel no magic as was present in that game vs Napoli.
-
I have been wondering sometime ago why our players play worse here than they do for NT, previous club or future club. Sturridge, Schurrle, Oscar, Luiz, Mikel, Willian, all strikers in general (Lukaku, Torres, Ba,...), De Bruyne...have never realy put same consistancy as they did in club we bought them from or in the club we sold them after. Or even when playing for their NT. Obviously, several players didnt even get the chance; Kdb, Lukaku, Danny. But then there are others who did and still never reached same level as we expected like Luiz, Ramires, Mikel,... First thing, the board is stupid. Main reason lies in Sturridge as perfect example. He scored 9 goals in first half under Avb, as soon Avb was sacked, Danny never realy got first team action, one would think Torres got back to his best, but that wasnt realy reason for Danny not playing. I will never understand why is Torres getting all that playtime, yeah he cost 50mio but he was playing simply terrible and as big club with enough money, we should get rid of him 2 seasons ago. More baffling is how Mourinho, who benched MATA and before CASILLAS, arguably something only crazy man would do back then, but yet he couldnt see how shit Torres is. I mean, is Ba realy that worse?!? Why is Mou still sticking to Torres, Mou of all people, I wont ever understand. But that is discussion for another topic. So, Danny, boy we never trusted moves to Lpool and becomes top striker in two seasons. Would be that different if we simply benched Torres and give Danny a real chance? I guess same goes for Lukaku who exploded twice already, in West Brom and Everton. And still not being given chance here. Imo, even if he will get it, he simply wont show same performances as he does on loan. But there are Luiz, Willian, Oscar, Schurrle, Ramires who have high potential, but never realy show it. Willian was voted as starting 11 in last seasons CL group stage, performances he made were superb, creativity, hard work and end product. He has yet to show any kind of end product here. Schurrle another player who had beasty long shot, but apparently he forgot it in germany. Surprising, as soon he played game for NT, he got that skill back. Luiz who puts world class performance every fucking time in NT, perhaps being even better CB than Silva in last conf cup cant put such performance once here. Not to say being at least bit consistent. Ramires who was amazing when team was bad, now suddenly cant do anything. Gets better partner and he starts playing totaly shit. Coincidence perhaps or sth else? Kevin de Bruyne amazing at Werder, amazing in NT, but cant even make Mourinho to give him a game to prove. When he gets it, he fails. So what is it? The coach, the pressure, lack of motivation, lack of trust when playing for Cfc or something else?

Injuries, injuries everywhere

Alex Sandro realy looks like great LB. Raw Ashely Cole IMO. His positioning and reactions are amazing, he has good ball control and knows when to go forward and when to defend. Today, he kept his left side safe with great positioning, something you wouldnt expect from brazil full back. The only question is if he can make leap from Portugal to England, but tbh he was already great in CL and EL. If we miss on Shaw, I think having Sandro would end equaly great for us. Also Mangala is fucking beast, and very good with ball. Scored goal tonight aswell. Guy is freaking fast for his size. City will get world class defence in few years with Mangala-Kompany. Rakitic did well when on ball, but was playing in worse team, couldnt do much though.

Suarez had two good seasons in league, Ronaldo is doing it for several years. There is no way Suarez is on Ronaldo level yet. Close but not same.
