  1. Even if you buy all the no.10's...you would have to keep ALL of them happy by providing them with regular playing time...which isn't possible!
  2. Ferreira is the type of player every manager would love to have in the team. Would be great to see him in some sort of a coaching role for Chelsea....in a few years time..
  3. Luiz does pretty well at CB alongside a leader (eg. Luisao at Benfica...Silva for Brazil..and JT at Chelsea) BUT..when you play him alongside an average defender like Cahill, he doesn't know what to do...and then our defence becomes non existent...
  4. Either Mikel will take his game to the next level OR one of our very promising midfielders will take over his position in the team. It's a win-win situation for Chelsea in the long term...
  5. Good to see Aké provide some energy in the midfield. Haven't seen energy and enthusiasm in Chelsea's midfield since the days Essien was in his prime.... Mikel always jogs around, never really looks enthusiastic
  6. I dont get how sacking Rafa now would solve any of our problems. His sacking just makes the Chelsea job even more unappealing/unattractive And honestly, if we end up with someone like Pellegrini at the start of next season, I bet we screw up again...
  7. Don't see anything wrong with what Benitez said in the press conference. He's never been able to handle the English media to begin with.
  8. I'd rather have Luiz in midfield than the useless Benayoun. I can understand the Essien loan...but the sale of Meireles made no sense..
  9. Yea we all want FSW out...but sacking him now would just make our club even less attractive to any potential managers... And it's not like we have a decent assistant manager at the club...Steve Holland looks clueless on the bench.
  10. Bruma won't solve our defensive problems. He's better off joining Hamburg permanently.
  11. Great stuff by Real madrid I like the development of Varane. so young but so mature...hopefully Chalobah can have a similar impact on Chelsea's first team!
  12. Decent article. If the board cared about the fans and general image of the club, they would NEVER have hired Rafa Benitez. All they seem to care about is short term success...and Rafa failed at CWC, League Cup, fixing up his pet striker.. The interesting thing is, would Chelsea have won the CWC or League Cup with Di Matteo?
  13. Maybe playing some of the youngsters will provide fresh energy to our first team squad? I mean if we can't use at least 1-2 youngsters in the Europa league...then there is something clearly wrong with the link between our U-21's and the first team. Spurs used their reserve team under Redknapp...Rodgers used a few Liverpool reserve players...I'm sure Chelsea's reserves aren't that bad..
  14. Don't see Laudrup joining Chelsea cause he wouldn't want to be sacked midway through the season like AvB & Di Matteo. Also, he's got a solid team at Swansea...Why would he jeopardize his career by joining Chelsea? Martinez might be interested in a move to a bigger club after quite a few relegation battles with Wigan.
  15. I don't think World Cup qualifiers will affect Mata that much....because Spain have alot of quality depth in midfield. Also, Mata will most likely get more rest at Chelsea, once De Bruyne returns from his loan spell at Werder Bremen.
  16. Mata might be carrying Chelsea this season...but against City, he was close to non existent. He just can't hold up the ball like an Ozil, Iniesta, Silva etc.. Also, considering our first team players are getting tired this season...why not give 2-3 youngsters (eg. Aké, Saville, Feruz) a chance in the Europa League?
  17. So Spurs take 3rd with 11 games left in the season. Spurs have their game changer in Gareth Bale...United have RvP...City have Toure.. Chelsea don't have a game changer.
  18. Good points..but Fellaini has put in quite a few eye-catching performances as a more advanced midfielder for Everton. Don't think Fellaini is exclusively a 'defensive' midfielder.
  19. Yep it's bright if we bring in the right manager... We need a manager that can help bridge the gap between our talented U-21 team and our first team squad.. I just hope the board makes the right call..(whether it's José, Moyes or someone else)...and then gives the manager at least 2 seasons to settle in at the club.
  20. The Di Matteo sacking still makes no sense. He helps Chelsea win the UCL...but just because he's not first choice manager according to the board...at the first sign of a slump in form, he pays the price. Honestly, what do the board want? Like instant success Or you get the sack? No decent manager would want to join Chelsea if they have to keep worrying about the sack as soon as we start drawing/loosing 5-6 games in a row
  21. That's harsh. Luiz just needs to stick to one position. Either play him in midfield or play him at CB alongside a good defender. He does well alongside defensive leaders and/or defenders with a strong reading of the game (eg. Terry or T. Silva for Brazil)...but he looks clueless when paired with Cahill or Ivanovic.
  22. Don't see us beating United at Old Trafford (assuming we beat Boro). Unlike Chelsea, even when United play like crap, they somehow come up with those match winning goals.
  23. Out of those games, only Sunderland and Southampton seems like a definite 3 points. West Brom could easily take a point away from us, Big Sam will get West Ham motivated, Fulham will probably play for the draw & AvB would love nothing more than to beat Chelsea.
