Doubt PSG can defeat Barca over 2 legs.. Hopefully Dortmund or Juventus take on Barcelona in the semi finals..
-
That's just what we need...a long trip to Russia...
-
Malaga vs Dortmund --> Dortmund Madrid vs Gala --> Madrid PSG vs Barca --> Barca Bayern Vs Juve --> Either team..
-
If Mourinho comes back, he could 'help' Kalas become a solid CB...he always does well with defenders
-
He does 'well' for Brazil because he plays alongside a physical CM/DM in Paulinho or Sandro... I still think a 4-3-3 would be a good option for Chelsea. GK: Cech Defence: Azpi - (X) - Luiz/Cahill - Cole Midfield: Ramires/ Oscar - DLP - Mikel / (X) Attacking Midfield: Mata --- Hazard Striker: (X) Key: (X) just means I'm not sure who will play those positions next season..
-
Ramires is such a vital player to this football club. Sure, he's not the most technically gifted CM out there...but his work ethic & energy on the pitch is just amazing...he's even a decent goalscorer. We might go after a DLP type of player at the end of the season...but Ramires doesn't deserve to sit on the bench at Chelsea.
-
yea, I'd go with the same lineup.. except Mata off the bench with Moses starting on the right.. As for Arsenal, I think they'll be pumped up after beating Bayern away 2-0. Hopefully Swansea do us a favour...
-
Even with a new player like Modric or Moutinho joining our midfield...I'm still concerned about our lack of options at DM.. Romeu is currently the backup DM to Mikel...but he could take a long time to regain his fitness and confidence after that injury..
-
Hope we get drawn with Lazio or Fenerbache Not sure if we've played either team of recent times...
-
He still has to leave at the end of this season....don't think 1 good game..after 10-15 pathetic games..changes anything.
-
Torres is past it...but he can still play well...once every 10 games...which is the reason why we need a new striker.
-
Good to see Chelsea win...don't understand why Mata/Hazard needed to stay on the pitch for 90 minutes... I bet one of those two will be 'tired' against West Ham..and hence put in a shite performance..
-
I don't see Cabaye leaving Newcastle..particularly with all those new French players signing up in January.. Moutinho would be great..but Porto would probably make us pay extra for him.. Benat should be available for around 12 million. As for Honda, isn't he an attacking midfielder / supporting striker?

Michael Emenalo (Technical Director, Chelsea)
English Freak replied to coolhead23's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Rafa, his pet, Benayoun, Malouda and Emenalo all need to leave Chelsea at the end of the season. Hopefully our next manager doesn't have to deal with Emenalo. -
Who knows..Wallace might never play for Chelsea's first team..seems like he'll be joining the long list of loanees.. As for our RB position, giving Todd Kane the odd chance in cup games wouldn't be a bad option.
-
Good to see Piazon get a few minutes of UCL football He's done fairly well at Malaga so far..
-
Bayern almost stuffed it up... Good job by Malaga, what a goal by Isco.
-
We should put a large buyout into his contract for sure.. I am a bit concerned about a third loan spell at the same club. Regardless of UCL football...Courtois will have to adapt to EPL style football..so provided we find the right club, he could of been loaned out within England... That way...it'd be a much easier transition into Chelsea for Courtois.

John Terry's injury situation could be similar to Ledley King who could only play once a week. Also, from what I recall, Redknapp mentioned multiple times that King couldn't train during the week, all he did was basic drills with his CB partner for the next match he'd be involved in... It'll be a sad day when JT is no longer part of Chelsea's first team.
-
He should of received a fine at the very least for his seal impression against the Turkish ref.. However, about this assault on Torres...I bet most defenders would love to push him over because he's utterly useless now.
-
Thinking of bringing Torres to Chelsea was a mistake from the very beginning. He never suited our system. LFC was built around him, they made him look great. Apparently LFC decided not to give all his injury reports to Chelsea...there was the 'rushed' medical...and finally, the price tag was simply too much for him. There are really only 2 players of recent times that would be able to live up to a 50 million dollar price tag... 1. Messi 2. C. Ronaldo
-
Who knows..if Wallace develops properly, he could be similar to United's Rafael.. Anyway, I don't think we'll see Wallace playing for Chelsea for at least another 3-4 seasons..
-
With Benitez in charge....Barca >>> CFC = Milan
-
I think only Real Madrid or Juve could stop Barcelona at the moment.... All the other teams would just get thrashed at Camp Nou..
-
Yea, I'd say Heskey could be compared to Kalou....they were never the most gifted of footballers but they tried their best on the pitch and they scored the odd important goal for their respective clubs...
