But wasn't Torres one of the reasons behind Mata choosing Chelsea in the first place? The Spanish connection has helped us gain a quality player in Mata....just like Arteta used his Spanish roots to help Arsenal sign Cazorla and Monreal.

The only difference between AvB's team and Harry's team are the new players that have added a bit more steel in defence and a bit more bite in midfield. The likes of Dembele, Vertonghen & Lloris have just made their team that little bit stronger...and unlike Chelsea, AvB has been able to add the likes of Sigurdsson, Holtby as further depth in midfield..

Yea and we had a 28 million bid rejected for a young Torres back in 2004. Hopefully he moves back to Spain at the end of this season. He might still be able to finish his career on a high..

All these short term appointments are pointless. We're just making the club more unstable. The next manager needs to be given at least 2 full seasons in order to create stability. Hopefully the stability will help our youngsters ease into the first team squad over the coming seasons.. If Capello gets the nod & wants to stick around for a longer period of time, that's great. I just don't want a successful 6 months under Capello..and then he decides to leave...which leaves us with another average manager in charge..

I thought they cashed in on Lavezzi because his contract was meant to finish in 2013...hence why they agreed to sell him to PSG for 30 million in July, 2012. As for Cavani, I'm only saying that he might be more expensive than Falcao....because Madrid & City have shown serious interest in him..and this might result in a bidding war!

That's a decent formation. I'd love to see Chelsea use a 4-3-3, maybe that would allow the likes of Ramires & Mikel to play to their strengths more often...

Torres is past it. He'd probably do alright back in Spain as a rotation player...but he's not starting quality anymore for a club with UCL ambitions...

I'll never understand how Emenalo became the Technical director at Chelsea... How do you get promoted from Chief Scout to Assistant Coach with no experience whatsoever...and then get promoted again to Technical Director with no experience in such a crucial role for the club.

The Fat cunt doesn't deserve a pay-off. My concern is that if someone like Benitez can come to Chelsea, manage our club for a few months and then get a nice pay-off...it sends the wrong message to other average managers. Bet the likes of Pellegrini would love to manage Chelsea...just stay in London for 6 months, watch the team hit a rough patch..and then enjoy a nice payoff whilst you look for your next job back in Spain..

Even if you buy all the no.10's...you would have to keep ALL of them happy by providing them with regular playing time...which isn't possible!

Ferreira is the type of player every manager would love to have in the team. Would be great to see him in some sort of a coaching role for Chelsea....in a few years time..

Luiz does pretty well at CB alongside a leader (eg. Luisao at Benfica...Silva for Brazil..and JT at Chelsea) BUT..when you play him alongside an average defender like Cahill, he doesn't know what to do...and then our defence becomes non existent...

Either Mikel will take his game to the next level OR one of our very promising midfielders will take over his position in the team. It's a win-win situation for Chelsea in the long term...

Good to see Aké provide some energy in the midfield. Haven't seen energy and enthusiasm in Chelsea's midfield since the days Essien was in his prime.... Mikel always jogs around, never really looks enthusiastic
