  1. That's no excuse! So you're essentially saying he's another Willian then? Sure, let's go sign more brainless players because our squad hasn't got enough of them! So far I've not seen any big clubs genuinely been linked with signing Mahrez, not any of the English sides or others around Europe. That itself probably says a lot and last year, I recall Arsenal were the only ones who were reportedly interested in signing him. If no one was lining up back then to sign Mahrez when he was supposedly on top of the world, I don't see why they will be keen to sign him after a desperately average season.
  2. Even before we potentially sign him, fans are already split over him. Will definitely fit in well in the team...
  3. Daily Mail must have gotten bored and decided rehash an old story.
  4. I can see you where you are getting at but here's the thing - how often do we play on the break? How often will sides open themselves up against us like they foolishly did against Leicester last season? Our approach is more proactive than Leicester's and it's highly unlikely Mahrez get as much joy in offence as he did last season.
  5. In some ways right now, we do fear Spurs already. I don't think the signing of Mahrez is going to add anymore to that. Different case say if they sign someone like James Rodriguez.
  6. If he turns out to be good for Liverpool, then that would probably be because they play a style that plays to his strengths. He may sign for Liverpool but he's not going to turn them into a top quality side and really make your fear them, is he?
  7. I don't know why people are so keen on Mahrez. We need players who we know or can expect to do a proper job for us, not those who have question marks on. And here's a thought that I don't think has been mentioned much - was Mahrez able to perform well last season because of Leicester's counter attacking style? Had tons of spaces to score and create chances. Leicester tried to change their approach this season and it didn't work out well for them or Mahrez.
  8. TBF, it was Sunderland. I don't think we even played that well against them. We won comfortably in the end because they are a bad, bad, bad team. The lack of motivation may not be the sole factor that we lost the cup final but it certainly played its part. Courtois certainly admitted as much after the match.
  9. It'll take a monumental break down in relationship with the club for him to even leave this summer. As for future, it'll all depend on how ambitious do the club want to be successful domestically and in Europe.
  10. When Hazard plays well in the big games, people don't say much. When he doesn't, people say he has a poor mentality. Make up your mind, fellas!
  11. Kante gets the Players' Player of the Year award.
  12. Hazard wins the club's Goal of the Season for the solo against Arsenal.
  13. To be fair, that's a big issue for us too. The only big away game we seem to win more often than not is Arsenal. Otherwise we rarely win at Spurs, City, Liverpool and United.
  14. We have never been in a side that dominates possession against the big teams. We have always either be in between or play strictly on the counter. Gonna need to overhaul the squad if we want to start bossing possession.
  15. Inclined to disagree. Yes, Spurs bossed lots of the possession (what's new against the big sides) but we did what we had to do and we competed. The same can't be said about yesterday and Courtois even suggested after the match that the players got complacent.
  16. If we get Perisic and more players of his ilk, we can forget about retaining the title and challenging for Europe next season.

  19. Conte's cup record is questionable but just in his defence, (1) Allegri has been given far more backing in the transfer market than Conte ever was to build a squad capable of dominating domestically and challenging for Europe, (2) Conte lost to good sides in his last 4 cup competitions (including 2 in the final) which can happen and (3) can't definitively say he's poor in the Champions League just yet because he got KOed by an unstoppable Bayern Munich in one of the seasons. The other one was a failure yes but sample size still too small.
