  2. He's a strong shout to start the cup final. Been good since the Spurs game.
  3. Cheers @The Skipper for putting the score in the result.
  4. Tons of money for Conte to spend...
  5. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/may/20/antonio-conte-chelsea-premier-league Wise words from Antonio.
  6. Should be sold for coming up with that...

  8. Chelsea step up bid to sign £50m Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko thanks to £200m warchest http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/18/chelsea-step-bid-sign-50m-monaco-midfielder-tiemoue-bakayoko/
  9. Thanks to Leicester's goal tonight, Courtois will get the Golden Glove award. On 16 clean sheets, 1 ahead of Lloris. Hope he wins outright on Sunday!
  10. Perfect description of Pedro here... http://metro.co.uk/2017/05/12/thierry-henry-explains-how-antonio-conte-has-succeeded-where-jose-mourinho-failed-and-got-the-best-out-of-pedro-6634163/
  11. Tottenham are a good side but them winning when the pressure is off is so typical. Feels very Arsenal-ish in fact. When the pressure is on, when the spotlight is on them (e.g. West Ham away), they cannot handle it. They have faltered so many this time when that pressure/spotlight is on them - Champions League group stage, Europa League R32, FA Cup semis - but of course, journalists and pundits conveniently ignore the failings because Spurs apparently play the best football in the league.
  12. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/eden-hazard-told-new-300000aweek-deal-would-make-him-chelseas-main-man-for-years-to-come-a3542651.html Have opened contract talks apparently.
  13. Even with the experience factor, there are still those risks to consider. And will he adapt to the back 3? Can he adapt to a new league, new surroundings fast enough for someone who's already 34 and won't play much to do that?
  14. That's the thing. I don't think Conte would want that kind of unpredictable players in the team. He would want players who are reliable and dependable and considering that Luiz, admittedly rarely these days, can still do something silly (e.g. his challenge on Rondon last Friday), Conte wouldn't want 2 players like that in the squad.
