Think it's easy to look at those players and say it's their fault or choice that they left but main issue IMO was Mourinho had his preferences and ostracized certain players. It's been beaten to death by now but a preferred Mourinho player can play badly and still finds himself in the starting XI while the one not preferred can play well but will still find himself out of the XI. It would be hard not to think of leaving if you're in the latter situation.

Can afford and don't want to pay that money are two very different things. We clearly have the money but it's like we have Wenger conducting our transfer business.

The most frustrating bit from this Lukaku saga is the club's inadequacy to get the job done. Not everyone was pining for him but clearly the club wanted him and you would think they would do everything to sign him long before today. Instead, they allowed United to come in and got everything agreed within a couple of days. Makes you wonder what will happen in the transfer window and afraid that 2010 and 2015 will happen again.

Yeah, we made a bid very late on but at the end of the day, the decision still comes down to the player. The bid is there, we want him but he can easily say 'No' to United but it seems he's been influenced by Raiola to join them.

Not saying it's impossible but do people really think Conte is daft to quit every time he disagrees with the club over transfer business? I'd be lying if I said I'm not concerned about our slow transfer activity but how about we see what happens over the coming weeks before losing your mind over some paranoia!

It's Mino Raiola we're talking about here. Not even surprised if he's really trying to get big agent fee that the club think it's OTT.

The word is that Raiola wants 12m in agent fee and United are willing to pay him that but we don't. I'm skeptical about the potential Lukaku purchase but if he has a brain, he'll do the right thing.

Unless we replace 3/4 of our squad with technical players, I really don't see how Aubameyang will do well here at all. Sure, he will bang in the goals but our squad is built to have a physical striker upfront like Drogba, Costa etc. This team needs someone who can occupy defenders, hold up the ball and bring others into play. Aubameyang won't thrive with this style of play and not with players who struggle to keep possession for half the time.

Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. Anybody could easily come up with that.

Yeah but that wasn't the only reason we underperformed or started badly, was it? We looked off the pace physically from the start and never recovered. Training hard won't necessarily help get the match sharpness and fitness up.

Should we be concerned that we are gonna play only 4 games in pre-season, including the Community Shield? Don't want us to go into the season under-cooked again like in 2015/16, especially when we have a rough first 2 months.
