  1. https://vine.co/v/OE5UA5lWDYH Pitch invasion at the end of the Villa v WBA game earlier and look at the linesman.
  2. Valencia have been hopeless away from home this season. They might have won a few games but the performances have been far from convincing and they were lucky to get some of the wins in those away outings.
  3. Is Ancelotti blowing the league again? Two weeks ago, Madrid were 4 points clear of the top of the table. Now, they could be overtaken by Barcelona on Sunday if they beat Rayo Vallecano (which they should) and fall one point behind them. This before the El Clasico in two weeks' time. And oh...
  4. If United do beat Arsenal, then there's a chance that we might actually play United in the last week of the season instead, like how City played Villa in their second last game last season. Have checked the schedule and there isn't much space to fit that fixture in with all the Champions League ties going on, unless they bring the match forward and play it earlier. We have 2-3 free midweeks coming up.
  5. He said this about defensive midfielders last season... http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2014/01/28/4576820/sherwood-against-holding-midfielders-les-ferdinand
  6. Reading this thread at times has made one feel rather 'meh'...
  7. Not saying that's a bad thing but that quality alone won't be enough to get one far. Most managers have passion and live for the game but the more successful ones, be it at the top club or even the middle ones, marry passion with tactical nous. Sherwood looks short of the latter in his managerial career.
  8. True but that 'fire up players/instill the passion' approach isn't going to get one far, especially when in Sherwood's case, he doesn't even have the tactical nous to back that up. He's almost the typical English coach - plenty of huff and puff but no genuine substance to go along with it.
  9. PSG in league action today, against 19th-placed Lens. Match kicks off at 4pm UK time.
  10. Hypothetically or not, given the way Oscar has been performing, who on earth would even offer 35m+ for him? Heck, even if he's in good form and all, there's no way he's 30m+ player.
  11. Tim Sherwood... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2982852/Tim-Sherwood-play-small-club-need-b-play-Aston-Villa.html
  12. Fiorentina have tough games coming up against Lazio, Roma (x2), AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli. Doubt he'll continue scoring at the current rate but he'll pop up with a few here and there.
  13. In the space of 5 days, Salah has helped Fiorentina to claim impressive wins at Inter Milan and Juventus. Fiorentina's 1-0 win over Inter on Sunday was their first success at the San Siro since 2000. The 2-1 win now ends Juventus' 47-game unbeaten run in Turin. Juve's last home defeat was in April 2013, coming against Bayern Munich.
  14. Hmmm, fair enough. But yesterday's miss was the worst of the lot IMO.
  15. For Fiorentina this season... Salah - 6 goals in 7 appearances Cuadrado - 6 goals in 23 appearances
  16. Let's not also forget that Suarez got an eight-game ban for making racist comments to Evra. This is only one less than that. So, to the FA, the severity of the offences are similar despite one being more serious than the other.
  17. So, spitting at someone is much worse than committing a reckless challenge on a player. What a joke!
  18. Surprised no one has said anything about his brilliant header against Everton on Wednesday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Sa6j4rXvUM
  19. Salah's goal against Juventus in the Coppa Italia - https://vine.co/v/O0YmYH0atK2 His fifth strike for Fiorentina in 7 appearances...
  20. Would be fun to see Southampton and Tottenham make it, just to have something different in the competition from England.
  21. With Real Madrid, you never know. And signing a new contract means nothing these days.
  22. Unsurprisingly, here's where Matic did the damage to himself.
  23. A lot? I don't recall him missing that many. If you look at that miss on Wednesday, you could see that there was a lack of conviction and he even hesitated on that chance.
