  1. Would say he's one of the more intelligent English coaches around. He's not just about passion (like the Sherwoods, Redknapps), he combines that with clever team management and tactical nous. His teams have never been easy to play against down the years. Skinny and more of a looker? You mean like Wenger?
  2. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9758983/bamford-double-secures-motm-award Bamford's post-match interview with Sky. Was given the MOTM.
  3. Think to say West Ham, Stoke etc are still playing the 'hoofball' style is rather harsh and cliche. They are definitely much more versatile and adaptable in their style than people give them credit for these days.
  4. Oh I'm not sure about that. We know how this place can take off if something goes wrong. I don't disagree with your point there but I would rather be cautiously optimistic/excited right now. It's the excitement/hope that kills.
  5. Seeing that Sunderland-Aston Villa result, can't believe we actually failed to beat them at the SoL.
  6. One game at a time. Let's see what we do against Southampton first. We are hardly playing well at the moment. Shouldn't be getting carried away regardless of the advantage we have.
  7. His favorite move in a match - puts his hands behind his back and stands 5-10 yards away from the crosser.
  8. No offence but think people are overly optimistic if they believe the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, PSG etc would want to buy Oscar. We have been moaning for ages about his deficiencies and weaknesses and suddenly people think others would be interested in him? Pretty sure those big clubs are not blind and can see the problems with him as well.
  9. Nothing new really. Other fans love to hate us.
  10. Since when? Torres re-joined Atletico on January 7 and has only scored 3 goals. In the same period, Costa has got 4 (1 against Newcastle, 2 vs Swansea and 1 vs Tottenham).
  11. The lad is born to score. Two very very classy and quality goals.
  12. 1. Didn't see that City result coming. MUST take advantage of it against Southampton tomorrow, especially with games against United, Arsenal and Liverpool not too far away. 2. Never mind the thought of having the chance to go 8 points clear of City, we CANNOT let Arsenal get into the title race. Even though they have played 2 games more, they are only 6 points behind us and if we aren't careful (particularly with the said fixtures coming up), the race could get ugly when it doesn't need to be. Majority of the Arsenal fans suddenly think they can win the title now after today's results. We cannot give them any encouragement! 3. Did we actually murder someone on Wednesday? There's no denying we surrounded the referee against PSG but it was mainly only on one occasion - the sending off. Otherwise, we did nothing more than that and yet, judging by the outrage from the media, pundits, journalists etc, you would think that we actually killed someone on the pitch. They are acting as if we are the only team in the world who does that when every week, in every game, players surround the referee to argue about decisions and I don't see them blowing things out of proportion like they are now. Absolutely farcical!
  13. Well, we used to have that with Neil Ashton and Daily Mail. But Mourinho cut out the mole when he returned.

  15. Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Douglas Costa dreaming of summer move to Chelsea despite interest from Manchester United
  16. Hopefully, the clear-the-air talks will re-energize the team. 11 finals coming up.
  17. Think some are just becoming a little paranoid because of our approach in the big games. Otherwise, our playing style is fine in general. No one was really moaning about that in the first half of the season.
  18. Good lad. Now...get back to farming peasant!
  19. And yet if you look at the two clubs and managers, who actually look to have a plan on ensuring the club will enjoy more success in the years to come? Certainly not City and Pellegrini.
  20. For the record, just because we are online on TC, doesn't mean we are actually on TC.
  21. Mourinho's pre-match presser in full... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqhEZPzNM5k
  22. The best bits. When being asked about the Champions League defeat: No, that wasn't an error. He called Pellegrini as Pellegrino, again. One Sky journalist was focusing on the bad results, performances etc. He responded: On Carragher's and Souness' criticism (our players surrounding the ref on Wednesday): On any injury concerns before Southampton: Kinda hard to get the fun by reading the quotes. Definitely need to watch his presser.
  23. Mourinho just did his press conference and my word, what entertainment.
  24. If Arsenal SOMEHOW overturn that 3-1 deficit against Monaco, we'll never hear the end of it.
  25. Was talking more about individuals. You can probably count of the number of players who have improved since Mourinho returned with one hand!
