Yes, he did. By inserting black in front of cunt you're implying that black is derogatory. It's a technicality and 30 years ago would have been laughed at but I guess political correctness has gone too far.

Tell us more, Sam. How did he initiate the argument?

I think the ute is the greatest invention by an Australian. Penicillin doesn't count as an invention, right? For those who have do not know what a ute is: Automotive perfection. And the American's can fuck off with that 'pickup truck' shit. We use 380 horsepower machines to carry around spanners in the back.- 671 replies

If my reasoning is correct, that will end up being a 16 match ban. So that's 14 PL games he'll miss, as well as the 3rd round of the COC and the Community Shield. The good thing about the verdict coming out early is that it gives us time to buy a new centre back if we're going to be Terry-less for about 4 months.

I would genuinely take the Holden over those fancy European cars.- 671 replies

How many weeks did Suarez get? Terry will probably get another 4 added on to that as his went to court.

Calm down, Queenslander. It was only a joke You can get your own back by abusing Kalou or something.

I know I have a reputation for being Kalou-centric but that post was more concerned about Drogba. We can still get away with Malouda or Bertrand at left wing and Ramires at right wing but Drogba was so crucial every time we played a match defensively. I guess we have to groom Lukaku for that role now- but unlike Drogba he doesn't have that incredible mix of ball control, strength and aerial ability.

What a lovely relationship. The last comment "My children's children will be hearing about this"

Damn it, with my interest in history that's probably a question I will be asking them If they do take an interest in football at a young age I'll steer them clear of Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Millwall, QPR, etc. I won't care if they support City or United or some big team from the continent- just as long as they don't support a team I hate!

Always the backpackers. Sometimes I wonder if you're actually this guy:

Done it yet?

Hutchinson is done, I think. He's just had too much time away from the game. McEachran and Kakuta are on the verge of losing their potential, they'll have to prove they've still got it this season. Bertrand is set to be the successor to Ashley Cole, van Aanholt probably won't make it here either.

The one thing I worry about with a Mata-Hazard-Hulk/Marin front trio is that it will make it virtually impossible for us to shit our way through games like we did in the CL this year. I don't think the trio have the firepower between them to win games consistently and repeatedly for us (I'm of the opinion that they will produce consistently good performances but only turnout match winning performances every month or so). We're not Barcelona or Real Madrid, we can't outscore every team out there.
-
Funny thing is our previous number 17 always got the better of number's 7 and 10 With regards to the Hazard-Mata conundrum, why not get them to frequently swap places? Every 2 minutes or so Mata comes into the middle and Hazard takes Mata's place, rinse and repeat.

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

It can be easy to predict penalties sometimes. You could just tell Robben was going to miss, especially after John Michael Nchekwube Obinna had a few words with him. David Luiz's penalty was another one, it was either going to be top corner or Row Z- it wasn't going to be saved. Similar to the Bruno Alves penalty in the Euro semi final, I think every football fan called that miss. And the guy that went first for Portugal as well, with that dickhead run up to the ball. -
In which case 'Alright, lads.' far outstrips anything . The Liverpool third kit is awful, though it's a massive improvement on that fake kit which was being circulated.

This is an excellent idea for a thread, Volt. None of my family know the first thing about football. My sister knows a very little bit (basically that certain countries are great at football and others are rubbish) because she watched some of the South Africa World Cup but she couldn't name you who the best player in the world is at the moment. I won't force my kids to follow football at all, let alone Chelsea. That is a decision for them to make. I will, however, force them to become cycling fans

12 GOALS!!! But to be fair you can compare just about any of our transfers (except perhaps Mutu and Bogarde) with Torres and the player will come out looking better than Torres. He's not the best barometer, a better one would be someone who was good but not great- Anelka, perhaps.
-
That was a bit of a self-mocking post as I have an enormous nose. But yeah, 50 goals for probably a 20 million transfer fee and a huge wage packet (in excess of 200k/week, probably) doesn't sound like a good deal.
-
No, Navas still cacks himself if he leaves Spain for more than 3 weeks. The transfer would be doomed from the start, he probably wouldn't even learn English. Jose Antonio Reyes all over again.
