Petr Cech to undergo a surgery (after this season)
capriccioso replied to Milan's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
No need to worry. We'll give him painkillers before the start of every match and he should be fine. We have to go easy on him in training though. He should do fewer hours. -
What's with their bitterness? Arsenal never would have won a CL by this time even if Roman never took us over. They never had the quality to do it after the end of the Invincible era.

Petr wins Mine was different though... so I still don't get owned! #Clutchingatstraws.

Power is what we lack.

Fucks sake. 30 degree day in September. We'll be cracking the 40 mark by late October then. 4 months of blisteringly hot summer

Shatter the omerta! Good on you, Richard. Now out the dopers.

I don't really care either way about Inter, though they had my sympathies in the CL that year when they knocked us out and proceeded to win it.
-
No, of course not. What makes you think I'm angry?

Yeah, I've seen parents bring in their children. As Spike said its the teenagers that the bouncers get all itchy over.- 671 replies

Inter finished 6th last season, 26 points off the leader. To say they are on Spurs' level is completely fair. They may be a far bigger club than Spurs will ever be, but they are at this point no better a team than them.

15? He should be done in for statutory rape, regardless. RIP.

Not in Sydney, they have bouncers out front that check your ID. Unless you go down to some quiet suburban pub, even then I'm pretty sure they'll check your ID if you're just sitting there not ordering anything/when you order.- 671 replies

I don't think anyone is disputing that Bush should be put on trial as well, and would be had he been Iraqi or Bosnian instead of American. Bush, for all his faults, didn't use predator drones, although that would primarily because he didn't have widespread access to them. I'm certain he would have had no qualms using them if he had them at his disposal in 2001. The main concerns I have with him are torture in Guantamo Bay and their unconstitutional nature, as well as the fact that they circumvent Geneva Convention regulation on the treatment of POWs. What makes me think that? Briefly put, its because China is largely Maoist outside the Special Economic Zones. The rural areas still operate under Stalin style collectivist farms. Of course China is not a true leftist nation but then there's never been any state anywhere near Marx's definition of communism.

Why would he leave Atletico for Schalke? If he leaves Atletico in the near future it'll be to a far bigger club. I think Falcao is sick of playing for 2nd tier clubs as he's done all his life, Porto, Atletico would be enough for him. He would want to move to a team that has a good chance of winning the Champions League/winning a league title in one of Europe's big 4 leagues, and that surely isn't Schalke.
-
Not to worry, we're at our best when the opposition team are light years ahead of us. Its when we face teams on or below our level like Atletico or soon-to-be Corinthians that we run into trouble. Juve are on our level, perhaps with their midfield, a shade ahead of us. But I'm still confident. They haven't played CL football in a few years, they may be lacking a bit experience wise. Especially up front, Del Piero offered a lot and Bendtner is frankly rubbish. Shakthar away and Juventus away should be the only fixtures that we could lose. We should at least take a point against Juventus at home and 3 against Shakthar at home.

Spike is a Queenslander, he would know. I have heard that before, but the last time I went to Queensland I was only 17 so I didn't visit any pubs to confirm.- 671 replies

I remember those games! From memory Del Piero smashed in either a curling long shot a free kick, possibly both.

I wouldn't be surprised. Queenslanders live 2 centuries in the past. They don't even use daylight savings because, and I quote here from a guy from Queensland who phoned in to a radio show, "The cows won't know when to wake up".- 671 replies
