  1. Also his market value is going to slump, as Transfermarkt have predicted:
  2. No, 2013. No one will pay anything for him in January. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/sturridge/profil/spieler_47082.html
  3. If we sell him in January we'll get about 5 quid and a pint of beer. That's if anyone even wants to sign him in January. Everyone will just wait it out until summer and then sign him up for free.
  4. Lol, Roman won't pay a cent regardless of what he's told to do by the courts. Look out for Boris' body to be found floating down the Neva River in Leningrad if Roman has to pay out
  5. How hard can it be to adapt to the PL from Germany? They play a similar high tempo style of football there. German defenders are just as big and just as nasty and just as happy to injure players as anyone in England.
  6. I refuse to call him that, it'll jinx him. Andreas Schurrle.
  7. May as well chuck Gerald Asamoah in there. And Cacau. They were rubbish, Klose is the exception rather than the rule. And Podolski doesn't count, Lukas is a German name.
  8. But then Andreas Schurrle is proven as well. 27 Bundesliga goals, 7 goals for the national team.
  9. Yes they do, otherwise you'll have them doing things not associated with German footballers (missing penalties, choking, being shit in general). Lars Bender. Sven Bender. Now there are a couple of great German names. They'll never miss a penalty and will be the best player(s) on the pitch every big game they play.
  10. Why the hell would we loan him when he has 1 year to run on his contract? Either sell him today before the deadline or give him a new deal.
  11. Sturridge is hardly proven. He had a good 12 month spell, that's all.
  12. Andre. Andre. Andre. We can't be having Germans named "Andre" or "Marc-Andre" or "Mario". Bring back the Franz's.
  13. Juventus away and City home looks tricky.
  14. He own's a Formula 1 team, Mittal won't sink his fortune into a middling football club in a very competitive market (London) that they're unlikely to crack.
  15. They got Granero?! Fuck me they're building a very good team, they're not going to be involved in a relegation dogfight this year. They should be finishing in the top half of the table...
  16. Aren't they supposed to be one of the richest clubs in the world if their owners were arsed injecting proper money into them?
  17. Shakthar have perhaps the best looking club crest going around: "WAXTAP"
  18. The good thing is we're getting the away trip to Shakthar out of the way nice and early. It would have been horrific to go there on matchday 6 with qualification still not in the bag...
  19. Thanks for those photos. Ronaldo, what a man. Stick it to the twats that control player awards.
  20. And then repeat the process with the FIFA Balon D'or, and all those other end of year awards . Waste of time, if you're going to award it to a top 3 who did bugger all in the late stages of the CL.
  21. Despicable. Cech and Drogba should be in the top 5 at least if not the top 3. Why fucking bother with this award if you're going to include league form and Euro form? May as well merge it with the FIFA Balon D'or. This should be reserved for the best player in European club competition, and none of Iniesta, Ronaldo or Messi were good enough in the CL last season to warrant that. But the whole world want's MESSI AND RONALDO 200 GOALS A SEASON #BESTPLAYERSEVER.
  22. It surprises me how people cannot see that Mario Gomez is even shitter than Hernandez. At least Hernandez you can bank on to not soil his underwear every time a chance comes his way in a big match. Credit where it's due, as far as useless goal poachers go, Hernandez is far from the epitome.
  23. No. Mexico aside, I don't think any other CONCACAF nation has produced a player that would get into our squad. American's, Canadian's, Guatemalan's, Caribbean Island nations, Panamanian's etc. aren't names you associate with good football prowess. Western Africa is the hotspot. Central America/CONCACAF has been replaced by CAF as the third best confederation.
  24. Too many people define Group of Death as in the group with the toughest teams on paper. The hardest possible group would be: *One of the 1st Category clubs* Galatasaray Celtic Shakthar/Zenit/Spartak/Dyanmo Kiev/Cluj. We'd pick up about 2 points on the road with a group like that. Stupidly good home records those teams have.
