I'm certain what he meant was if he has to leave here he'll go to his boyhood club, Feyenoord. I don't think he'll be much interested in playing PL football against us, he really seems to have enjoyed his time here regardless of the fact that many managers haven't permitted him to play often and a large section of the fans hate him. To the rest of the fans, he's somewhere in between a cult hero (probably everyone that doesn't hate him) and idol/role model (me). As I said before, I'm convinced he only meant that he preferred Feyenoord, to say, Spurs, Besiktas, Liverpool, Arsenal, or Juventus, mainly because that club holds a special place in his heart.

Myself and a couple of Muslim friends had a great chat with a Latter Day Saint Missionary today. He was a very nice guy, very friendly, didn't knock me for being Catholic or them for being Muslim and was genuinely interested in our lives and their religion. He is only 19 and is here in Australia for 2 years, from Utah. Great bloke.

Kostas is right, there is no guarantee AVB signed these players. Knowing how clubs with Directors of Football installed, it is more likely that AVB simply told Emenalo the positions that he wanted reinforced and he responded with the likes of Mata. I was really skeptical of Emenalo but I think he has demonstrated even though he's tactically inept he certainly has an eye for talent and moving forward, I trust him.

I am cacking myself for this match. It's unlike anything before, I wasn't nervous going into Moscow or the various title 6 pointers/cup finals we have played since then. The resurgence of Kalou and even the conversion of Ramires on the wings- two hard workers better known for their physical attributes and discipline than dribbling, crossing and flair associated with wingers has all the hallmarks of a Mourinho tactic. Similar to how he got Pandev, Eto'o and even Chivu to play as wingers in his Inter 2010 side. Also Henrique said something about a Jose 4-3-3 not being able to score goals, therefore under Ancelotti we must have changed. The difference between Kalou and Ramires and Anelka/J.Cole and Malouda is that the latter trio are much better attacking wingers than the former. That, and the fact that Drogba was in his career best form, was a key reason as to why we were battering everyone 6-0 on the run in to the title that season, it was individual brilliance and attack minded wingers that got us scoring that many. 4-3-3 Mourinho style and slight variations of that, as Ancelotti and Di Matteo have done, is ingrained into this club as much as passing is in Barcelona. Finally to suggest that Grant actually managed the team is ludicrous. The team managed itself, which is why I think Terry, Drogba and Lampard will be fairly good managers should they choose that path. As the natural leaders of that squad, with help from Cech, Ballack and possibly Cole and Essien, they were probably the real managers of that team.
