  1. Yes in normal conditions, but our players are power crazed maniacs, so no. It would be Villas-Boas all over again.
  2. Curbs, Pards and Moyes? They'll be lol'd out of Cobham by January.
  3. Mikel is probably the best in his position at our club. I'll have none of this. Everyone makes positional mistakes, do you want me to bring up every time Torres has not been in a good position? Oh wait, its okay because he cost 50 million and that automatically makes him untouchable good.
  4. No it hasn't. Any fool can win a CL (see also: Djimi Traore) but it takes a real champion to win a WC.
  5. Dempsey will be a huge problem. I can just imagine him gliding away from Essien effortlessly.
  6. At least he'll be fresh for the CL games. Anyway, hopefully Paolo can do the job.
  7. I don't know what you lot are worried about. We're going to win the CL and boot out one of the North London scum
  8. I would be more or less neutral towards Barcelona, but I know this real asshole who is a Barca 'fan' (I have posted about him before, in the past, he has supported in chronological order: Blackburn, Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona again) so I find it hard to not root for Barcelona to have a tough time.
  9. England is producing some decent players atm but its a far cry from South America, many parts of Europe and even parts of Africa. English football is going through a tough period at the moment but these things are cyclical (unless you happen to hail from Brazil) and eventually England will equal the best at youth production. Its always very difficult to come off a golden generation, Australia, for example, produced some of our GOAT players during the 90s and 00s but the current crop aren't quite as good as those youngsters that first made the move to Europe in the last 2 decades. Of course, like England, our youth production is decent but amongst the current group of youngsters I see no Mark Viduka's or Tim Cahill's or Mark Schwarzer's. Similarly, there aren't any new Paul Scholes' or Wayne Rooney's amongst the English youngsters.
  10. Maradona to an extent carried Argentina, and he certainly carried Napoli. He turned an average side into Italian champions, that takes some doing. And Argentina do have world class players in their set up apart from Messi, like Aguero and Tevez amongst others. Yes, Pele had the luck of being in the same team as many of the greatest players, but still, Messi is in a class team with club and country yet Pele outshone him. Having a good team is somewhat overrated, we had a brilliant team in 06/07 but did it help Shevchenko score goals? No.
  11. Post of the year edit: This is a contender as well:
  12. I have been busted. They have discovered my dishonourable intentions
  13. Trouble here. http://www.barcaforu...ll=1#post783784 I don't see whats offensive about depicting Iniesta as Casper and then making a dead joke.
  14. Mistake by Mikel there, what if Diame and the Wigan player in front of Cahill had exchanged passes and allowed Diame to blast one at goal? You can get a lot more power with the ball rolling back towards you. But him standing there would have interrupted the view of Cahill and wouldn't have blocked the shot anyway.
  15. I'm being semi-sincere. I am disguising that I dislike Barcelona but apart from that I do genuinely hope that we can build a better relationship. Obviously we'll never achieve levels of friendship as we did with Napoli, but hopefully we'll do better than Benfica did with us. Here's a quick link to my profile: http://www.barcaforum.com/member.php/11282-Cat-Planet Strike is posting under the name Stryk: http://www.barcaforum.com/member.php/11284-stryk
  16. Actually I've changed my mind on this trolling thing. It would be unfair on that forum and its community. I'll try and post in a positive manner.
  17. Nah, Messi isn't overrated, he's clearly the best of his generation and probably the best since Ronaldo (the Brazilian). Where he is overrated is when he is called the greatest of all time, thats not the case.
  18. TX is right, except I personally don't recognise 'competitive rivalries' at club level football, but fully support it in international football, e.g. England-Argentina is a rivalry but Barcelona-Man Utd is not.
  19. Quite the fan of drama, then? Fail edit is fail edit
  20. The comment, while far from gentlemanly, was in jest, hence the second line referring to him being doped up (which he obviously isn't).
