  1. United have spent 210,183,000 since 2006. City have spent 528,130,000 in the same period. We spent 334,000,000. Interestingly, Barcelona have 'only' spent 229,500,000 in the same period, while Real Madrid spent an incredible 673,700,000.. Both of those figures are in Euro's so you should probably deduct about 50 million or so to get a fairer picture in pounds.
  2. Fuck what the agents say, we can't talk to him until a bid is accepted. That constitutes tapping up, and because Peter Kenyon has fucked off we won't do that anymore.
  3. It's all a bold front. I'm really a scared little boy As Hitler once (mistakenly) said about the USSR: You only have to kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down.
  4. As a (an?) historian, I am always hugely disappointed by awful tactical decisions. That has to be up there with Napoleon and Hitler having a crack at Russia, Japan going apeshit at Pearl Harbour, and the Spanish looking up at England in 1588 and thinking that it would all be over in minutes. The world could have turned out so much differently. Perhaps not for the better, but if any of those imbeciles had spent another 5 minutes thinking it over they would have succeeded.
  5. Kalou will die, in time. After he does, we will cremate him and bury his ashes under the other penalty spot at Stamford Bridge and erect a massive statue of him outside the Bridge. As a final honour, Roman Abramovich's descendants shall purchase the mayors office of London and have it renamed Kalougrad or Salomongrad Though they could have survived for a lot longer than three days if the Persian's hadn't stumbled across that other passageway. Foolish of the Greeks, and there were 6000 of them, to not at least task a few hundred arches to wipe out scouts before they could report back about the passage.
  6. That's one good looking girl. 18, so 16 is no trouble for me I am absolutely shitting myself over the Gomez calls I made earlier in the thread. Cacking it. Soiling myself.
  7. Impossible, surely. City aren't a selling club, he'll only be sold if he becomes incredibly shit overnight or falls out with management a la Tevez.
  8. OPTA also thinks Stewart Downing is a good player. I would take it with an extremely small pinch of salt, smaller than I would advise you to take when I'm posting about Kalou.
  9. He has defended better than the Spartan's did at Thermopylae against the Persian horde, I'll have you know. Defence > Attack.
  10. How do you know they'll react well? Look at Eto'o, he justs walks off the pitch in rightful rage.
  11. Perhaps not so much for being a prick, but he's been awful of late and didn't deserve the call up.
  12. Arsenal hate Tottenham but ArsenalMania is going along the lines of "Can't let plastic gloryhunting chavs win CL before we do. Even if that means Yid's in the CL next year".
  13. Time to settle this claim once and for all: From the 51 posts in that thread: 24 supported Chelsea- 52.17391304347826% 15 supported Bayern- 32.60869565217391% 7 were neutral- 15.21739130434783% And there were a few rambling posts that didn't discuss the match at all. Enough of this most of them shit. Only one guy actually expressed hate for us, the rest principally didn't want us to win because they were afraid that it'll make us a bigger threat to them, didn't like John Terry, had put money on Bayern to win, or wanted City to win it before we did. Go look at any of the other sites I linked, it would be more like 99% Bayern and 1% Chelsea, except perhaps Redcafe which might be 95/5. By contrast, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United, Tottenham, Barcelona, most of the rest of the footballing world don't want us to win because we're all dirty disrespectful glory hunting plastic chavs who bought all of Europe and were a mid table League Two club before Roman bought us and every one of us dirty chavs booed the minutes silence. And Bayern Munich are loved because they have 'history' and are playing dirty chavvy John Terry that racist scum and that diving cunt Didier Drogba and fat Frank Lampard and Ca$hley Cole and their fans aren't chavs. At least the posters who don't want us to win have by and large semi-sensible reasons for doing so rather than blind hatred.
  14. He still didn't like Real, he just saw them as an effective PR tool. Good football team means everything in the countries sunny as well, right?
  15. Yeah, it was a big mistake on my part to put the label TC on this. It was wrong of me to generalise for all of you and I apologise, but the point remains, unless Man City the club or its fans have personally done something to you, like getting smashed by ultras or being denied a ticket by the club, I can't see a legitimate reason for anyone supporting Chelsea and hating Man City other than petty tribalism.
  16. Every single football club except Celtic '67 has had a significant cash injection that led to their success. They got it at the perfect time for dominance- Real Madrid, for example, had all their debts underwritten by the Spanish goverment in the 50s which gave them what would be equal to billions today to play with. Let me say that again. Billions. If Real or anyone else had it like that today, they would own every single decent player on the planet. The big clubs were the first ones to cheat with money. They can't take the moral high ground against us either. What is immoral about spending big anyway? If you have it, you are damn well allowed to spend it however the fuck you want.
  17. On the topic of racism, I was sickened today when I saw a feral bogan, gone in drink, beat up an Indian looking bus driver. The driver is a dickhead and probably deserved at least a good yelling because he's a cunt to everyone, but still, this was light years over the top. He got smashed, and called shit like "You're a fucking monkey, get back in your coconut tree in your own country". A simple "Stop being a douche" would have been enough. I was fucking scared as well, as I am of South Asian racial stock.
  18. We are.. er.. Chelsea, nobody likes us and we don't care! Spike, google chimp out. It's a disgusting phrase when used in a racist manner.
  19. What were the debts? Around 100 million, right? I don't think the CL would have been enough to keep us afloat for longer than a couple of seasons. Even today a club with debt like that that they have to pay quickly would struggle just with CL football. I guess we could have raised enough by having a firesale as well, but then we'd probably be in Leed's shoes right now.
  20. Transfers in 2003: Glen Johnson Geremi Wayne Bridge Damien Duff Joe Cole Juan Sebastian Veron Adrian Mutu Alexei Smertin Claude Makelele Scott Parker Total spending: 121,000,000; excluding 3 free transfers. If that's not changing the squad at all, I don't know what is. That's virtually an entire team we bought: Ambrosio (free transferred GK) Johnson- CB-CB- Bridge Veron-Makelele-Parker Cole-Mutu-Duff We could have lined up like that for a game and still had Smertin and Geremi on the bench.
  21. No, too many chimp outs (apologies for the racist connotation in that phrase- absolutely no offence was meant and it was used in a context of people behaving like monkey's regardless of race) on that place if you bring up Chelsea.
  22. It obviously is. As I said before, we would not exist anymore. A club that doesn't exist can't succeed. None of us here can take the 'moral' high ground against Man City, at least they were not about to cease existence when their rich owner purchased them.
  23. We would not exist anymore. We were nearly liquidated in 2003, and probably would be in non-league football as AFC Chelsea or something today without Abramovich. Also check your facts mate. Abramovich bought us in 2003, before we made CL semi-finals.
