Our CL title was a miracle run. In general our play was down during the period he had his best time here. Like I said. Fun to watch but I don’t think he was the impact player some others were. There is a reason his time was short here when we needed consistency and impact over the course of winning a season again.

I might be one of the few who doesn’t rate Mata as highly as everyone else on here seems to. Fun to watch, but the time he shone was when we were in our worst patch. I think he was a big fish in small pond type.

Our CF is Jackson who is plenty good. Our preferred target? Osimhen? Since when? Seems like he was someone they had pencilled in for a reasonable price - but the dude got idiotic with wage demands. Osimhen isn't some generational talent. He is a guy with one great season in the Italian league. One. A single season. He isn't some grandstand champion that has been dominating for years. Its one good season. We have a potent attack, our midfield is good and is learning to play together. Yes - our CBs are a bit eh, but at the same time they haven't played together and are young. Both Fofana and Levi were some highly touted young CBs. Maybe lets give them time. Noni is looking a lot better after some time. Caceido has grown well after time. Cucu as well. Just let the guys freaking play. People are writing off players after 2 games.

You clearly have a far better understanding of what is going on.

Veiga and KDH as midfield depth. Neto and Felix for upfront depth and solid starting options (in turn less Sterling and Mudryk which is a massive plus). Lukaku out. We had so many of our best players injured last season like Nkunku, James, Lavia, etc that we can't bloat the squad any more to give them options. The only thing we missed out on was a CB of starting quality. I'm not confident there, and don't rate Levi that highly - but clearly they want to give the pairing a go. I think they deserve that opportunity.

We're stacked up front - we will be fine there. Defence is the only issue. Hardly grim - we had a great transfer window.
