Everything from Spanish fans says Samu is amazing and destined to be a top top striker - despite highlights. People are saying he was stuck on relegation fodder and was the one thing keeping them up at times. Like I’ve said - from the highlights he looks bang average to me - but his output for his age and the team/league he is on is impressive. I will keep my mouth shut on it. Thought Duran looked the more polished player at the same age - but the feedback from fans who have watched is mixed for Duran where as highly positive for Samu.

Would love to see the funds of Conor and Lukaku used to buy a prime CB and a surefire LW. Might be worth taking a run on Chiesa at 15m? But we have enough players who spend time in the hospital bay.

Good performance all things considered. Enzo tried some stuff today fitting certain players where they don't go - and we pretty much handed every City goal to them on a plate. All mistakes rather than anything special from them.

Caceido/James made that mistake early in the game - but Caceido is clearly one of the few comfortable against higher competition and breaking the lines in this system. He really has opened the game for us a few times in the middle of the field with his turn and go, and passes forward.

Let the players work, learn and build into a completely new system.

Big upgrades. KDH and Lavia look really good, and both familiar with this setup and style. Some severely underrating a budget friendly option that knows the system - and hes quite silky on the ball with a great eye for a pass. Add in the fact every player is going to be a year closer to their prime, and getting better and more settled. Our CB area is the only weak area, as well as the left side wing.

Do people on here just complain to complain? Saying we wasted money on Caicedo and Enzo? You were all begging for them to get in. Not going for Gyokeres? He was a championship level player according to some but other teams want him so now Clearlake are clowns again. Not going for Calafiori? I'd love to know the amount of people who actually knew him before the Euro's and our links. Complaining for the sake of complaining. Our defence is the only thing holding us back. And by that, I mean central defenders. They've done great on the rest of the scouting.

Ah right, I thought I read Duran is 21 somewhere. Regardless, Duran is polished where as Samu looks like a disaster on the ball at times. Wait - now I read they are both 20. The video I watched was clearly wrong lol.

Duran looks 5 times the player Samu is and he is considerably younger. Duran is quite polished where as Samu looks a disaster at 23.
