We are going to end up paying 100 mil for Duran. Like I said. He’s a better footballer than VO and that will become obvious in 1 or 2 seasons time when he gets given an opportunity. He is the next big talent at CF. People on here just want the shiny current thing for 500k a week when there is a talent ready to go and contribute who will clear him in no time.

Our CF is Jackson who is plenty good. Our preferred target? Osimhen? Since when? Seems like he was someone they had pencilled in for a reasonable price - but the dude got idiotic with wage demands. Osimhen isn't some generational talent. He is a guy with one great season in the Italian league. One. A single season. He isn't some grandstand champion that has been dominating for years. Its one good season. We have a potent attack, our midfield is good and is learning to play together. Yes - our CBs are a bit eh, but at the same time they haven't played together and are young. Both Fofana and Levi were some highly touted young CBs. Maybe lets give them time. Noni is looking a lot better after some time. Caceido has grown well after time. Cucu as well. Just let the guys freaking play. People are writing off players after 2 games.

Veiga and KDH as midfield depth. Neto and Felix for upfront depth and solid starting options (in turn less Sterling and Mudryk which is a massive plus). Lukaku out. We had so many of our best players injured last season like Nkunku, James, Lavia, etc that we can't bloat the squad any more to give them options. The only thing we missed out on was a CB of starting quality. I'm not confident there, and don't rate Levi that highly - but clearly they want to give the pairing a go. I think they deserve that opportunity.

We're stacked up front - we will be fine there. Defence is the only issue. Hardly grim - we had a great transfer window.

Because of leverage? Napoli had no leverage in this deal - and now they are stuck with an asset they have to pay that won't play. They will be looking to sell in January, and it will be at a far lower price again. You can't expect everything to go perfect. The ownership are getting rid of a lot of the dross and have upgraded the squad dramatically. They move quick, and own up to mistakes, hence the moves. Been a very good window. We have incredible depth upfront, have options in the middle. The only area that is of concern is the CB area - and we haven't really given Fofana and Levi time to settle as a partnership. For as meh as Badi and Disasi are, Disasi is a serviceable back up. Tosin can play the part when rest is needed too.

We don't lack a CF. Jackson is one of the best in the league already and only improving.

Sancho for 20 mil is a better deal than Chiesa for 13 mil. Just saying.

VO not coming is a great thing. LOL at the people saying to just throw money that he wants. Worked out great before. Especially for a guy that has had one good season. The disrespect Jackson gets is fucking incredible on here. We are a side that didn't struggle to score goals last season and we just banged in 6 the other day with him on the park. Our up front options are plenty good. Nice to see Trev go off on loan, and Sterling out by any means is good enough. Get the poison away that is Sterling. Sancho if he returns to Dortmund form is a steal at 25mil. Shame we didn't get a CB and get rid of Badi/Disasi - but who knows - maybe the pair we have at the back grow to something decent. Not too worried about the keeper situation. Jorgenson I think is a solid keeper. People say he had a bad game yesterday but his foot literally got stuck in the shitty ground on that second goal on the carpet they laid down in the 6 yard box. Really can't blame him. Think he will become the number 1 here eventually.

I'm super fine with not going for VO. All the better. Hilarious some are calling Toney better than Jackson. Good jokes. Great in fact. Duran and a CB to close would be great to end things.

Has anyone here watched VO in great depth? I see a lot of things that can go wrong, but I definitely see someone who can light it up as well. I don't see the same issues as I do with Rom as he is a much, much harder worker and a pressing machine. But his finishing seems iffy at times, and comes across clumsy and unrefined in a lot of areas. Or maybe I'm wrong and it just looks unconventional?

He is such a meh player. Quite literally had one good season and it was filled with penalties. He is 28, had plenty of controversy around him, and just doesn't stand out at doing anything amazing. This is like a worse version of Demba Ba situation.

Neto looks a mad lad. Fell in love with him just based on that celebration at the end putting his legs up on Maduake lol… looks a right joker. Play Nkunku and Mudryk. Nkunku needs the fitness against easier comp and Mudryk either needs to get with it or at least show out to get sold.

I’d love Murillo. Forest fans rate him super super highly after more research. I know it’s different expectations and all that but I think that speaks volumes. His YouTube videos on their channels have some super high praise to the extent of calling him the best player they’ve had (bar those from yonks ago - so what this Gen of fan would have seen).
